I wasn't collecting when the 89' was first released so when Hot Toys re-released it and the Batmobile I Pre-Ordered them both right away. Now that Hot Toys has re-released 92' Batman I have the deluxe version of that Pre-Ordered. The Deluxe version with the Bruce Wayne headsculpt should look good with Jazz Incs Catwoman whenever that gets released.
The 2.0 looks fantastic with the bloodied faceplate, the eyes looking up or to the sides, and once you've futzed the cape. The suit texture is still a negative, it lacks the smoothness and definition of the DX09, the two other faceplates are mediocre. Another thing I don't like is the posture of the figure, he looks like he's thrusting out his midsection. I don't think I've ever been so torn on a figure; whether to keep it or move it on.
I have the exact same situation. I have dx09 and batman returns also. Then i pre-ordered 2.0 version of -89 batman in day one. I was very hopeful and thought i would still keep my awesome dx09. When the day came and 2.0 was almost arrived for delivery i thought i don't want it anymore. It was downgrade. I canceled the order. It wasn't easy decision but right one and saved a lot of money. I'm very happy with my dx09 with custom cape 👍 i'm not gonna buy possible batman returns 2.0 because my original figure is also very good condition and looks awesome. We also have to keep in mind that inArt may produce -89 batman too in some point.
as long as you take care and don't put them in a direct sunlight , they gonna be fine , i'm using acrylic sheets with uv shield cuz all my cabinets are custom made by me , what i did before was spraying uv sprey in to the glass cabinet so it can have some sort of uv protection,
So someone else who thinks like myself. I got the 2.0 coming from my local shop. The DX09 is one of my favorite 1/6 figures. I am not a big poser either. I bought mine with a custom cape for $300 about 2 months prior to the 2.0 being released. I’ve had zero issues. The body has lasted. I do not have the Batman Returns. However I bought the Wayne from the 2Pk. So I have the Bruce Waynyand Dx09. I’m curious about Mars Toys Wayne. Thanks for the video. I grew up on 89 Batman. I still remember seeing it on a warm summer afternoon in Lake Geneva Wi. Maybe I bought your Wayne. Lol. I actually like that Bruce Wayne. But the DX09 is gotta be one of my top 3 figures in all my collection. I’m glad I didn’t sell it. I think it will go up because now people who did sell theirs are regretting it.
The Hot Toys 1989 Batman version 2.0 is a beautiful and well made figure. Unfortunately, the likeness of the finished product looks almost nothing like Michael Keaton. Also, the suit is very inaccurate with way too much texture. Lastly, for some unknown reason they made the body wider and bulkier. To me it looks like a stunt double in the Batsuit.

DX09 definitely looks better than the 2.0. I'm sticking with mine as well.
