As I was playing this, parts of the film were flitting through my mind. I really enjoyed this especially the chord melody you showed us. A huge thank you, Kelly.
Thanks Mike! It's cool how songs can make you think of certain things, times, people etc. Glad you liked the chord melody part. There are times where I play just that one part over and over (probably drive everyone in the house crazy!). Kelly
I didn’t know this was the theme song to Midnight cowboy. And come to think about it I haven’t seen that movie. I don’t know why. It looks good. But it’s a great song. You always pick the best songs. I will work on this one later and keep working on the earlier songs. It’s nice to hear you play it at the end. Nothing like acoustic music and a good song. Do you ever play guitar anymore. Why did you make the switch to ukulele. I like, guitar. But ukulele fits me a lot better. Especially my Ohana pineapple
Hi Bonnie! I still play guitar sometimes but it's funny I play ukulele so much now. When I play the guitar I always think "I should play this more!" - I really enjoy it. Uke is kinda my main thing now tho. I always liked the sound simplicity and minimalist vibe of the ukulele. I ended up trading one of my Martin guitars (had tooooo many guitars) for a couple of ukes years ago. I got two of the same model and figured one of my kids would enjoy it too. I showed my daughter how to play and she's been playing ever since - now teaching kids at her school too! Glad you enjoyed the song! I find it a nice relaxing tune to play!
That’s great your kids are musical also. I agree with you the ukulele just has a nice simple feel about it 🙂. I always wanted to do electric guitar and had one for awhile which was cool but now it feels so heavy and big !! Maybe someday when I get better I might get an electric ukulele just for fun so I can feel like a rock star 😂.
@@fourstringstrummer Oh oh. I’m enabling UAS😂. Sorry to my fellow ukulele players I wont bring up the g word again. I was just curious. We can keep talking about ukulele s now. !

Thanks Kelly. Playing along with you this sunny morning in the UK. Take care now.
Good morning Lisa! That sounds like a relaxing way to start the day! All the best - Kelly

Your Kamaka sounds great. What stings are you using? Has a nice ring.
Thanks Beverly! I have Aquila Super nylgut strings on it. They seem to work best for me.
@@fourstringstrummer thank you. I am going to try them on my Kamaka tenor my Koaloha concert.
