Your taste level is superb, and you have a gift for thrifting/consignment shopping and for styling your items. I also love consignment shopping, and I tend to get more casual pieces from thrifting. I enjoy the boutique feel of consignment shopping, moreso than the warehouse feel of thrifting. But there are great deals to be had at both, as your video proves.
Just discovered you this afternoon and have been watching while working from home. Your taste is on point, and your ability to mix and match and include the little unexpected touches is impeccable. I follow a few other Black women for various reasons - one in her fifties around my age, a couple with some weight, like me, and a couple of others. I've been a bit annoyed recently about the current trend to show skin - whether it's belly skin, cleavage, sides, or back. I want none of that. I always check out plus sizes as some of their shirts make great tunics over leggings or skinny jeans. New Lularoe stretchy pencil skirts in tons of colors & patterns can be found in most Goodwills for $3.99, great wardrobe items.

I love these looks! And I agree when you see something, grab it. I still have nightmares about leaving behind a navy wool blazer with gold buttons 😢 This weekend I stopped by a thrift store and got a camel cashmere trench coat for $19.51. I knew the next day it would 50% off but I wasn’t gonna let it slip through my hands for a few dollars off. I also nabbed a leather vest, maroon silk pant set and a few other gems.
Lol about "...still have nightmares about leaving behind a navy wool blazer..." only because it just reminds me of the regrets I had when I shop online and leave an item in a cart "for just a few days" and it ends up sold out as I'm finally ready to make the purchase. Then I start scavenging the internet trying to see if other sites have the item. Otherwise, oh yes if I'm thrifting in person, that's rule number one...if you can get that one eye catching piece, even if it means putting something else back in exchange (particularly if I put myself on a deliberate budget for that trip, cuz I can really go overboard FOR REAL especially on half off days, and don't mind, lol) DO GET IT.

I was tootsie rolling for awhile and when I remembered my cart they were gone. And I mean discontinued gone. Periodically, I’d check around and wouldn’t you know. I did a Google search and someone was selling a pair on The Real Real. I rubbed my eyes, to ensure my eyes weren’t deceiving me at 3:00am. I quickly added to cart and checked out because they were just posted on the site. I can’t wait for them to arrive on Wednesday! I hope you find the item you were looking for. It took me a year but I finally got the item…next is my navy wool blazer 😂

I do miss Stein Mart, which was a favorite. For thrift, I will check any place that says thrift and Goodwill. For consignment, everywhere.

Thank you and I'm happy that you found me. For retail I shop some of every where, which includes: JCP, Macy's, Ross, Cato, Chico's, Ashley Stewart, Marshalls, and Boutiques. I do miss Stein Mart, which was a favorite. For thrift, I will check any place that says thrift and Goodwill. For consignment, everywhere.
