Thank you for this great review! I live in a very dusty environment. I have to clean the floor from dust very often. Will this product help me reduce the time I spend on cleaning the floor and furniture?
Hi Mohammed, thanks for the nice comment! Yes it can definitely help with removing dust from the air. Dust is a very thick particulate so is perfect for air purifiers. Just a quick question though, what is causing the dust? As you should look at minimising the dust being produced as well as use the air purifier 😀

Thanks for replying! Yes the Philips 1000 should do the job it has got good reviews, so even though I haven't used it I think it would be very similar. That being said if you have pets you might want to look at something like the Winix Stage 5 that has a pet filter that removes pet danders and odours. It is slightly more expensive though so depends on your budget. Let me know what you think and thanks for watching 😃
Hi, thank you very much for replying me. I also put Winix in my top 3 list. However the type that available in my country only 2, WINIX Air Purifier 2020EU and Winix zero compact. I think 2020EU is the same with winix stage 4 because they have 4 stage of filter. However the filter replacement's price is quite high, one third of the purifier itself and I have to replace every 6 months. If the Stage 5 available in my country, I definitely will choose that even with higher price range. Do you have any other suggestion for filtering animal furr and odor? I really appreciate your every reply. Thank you.
Can someone please help! How the heck are we supposed to clean inside the vents at the back? Where it stupidly goes up on an angle where no 'clean' air hits there's a huge build up of dust, you can't fit a cloth or anything in there to clean it! It's not a good design at all. It's actually blowing dirt and dust back into my room now because I cannot clean inside that back part where the fan is :(
Hi, I had a look and can't see how to reach that area, which air purifier do you have, was it the 2000. We haven't had any dust collect their though. Can you possibly get a small brush with a long handle?
@@MrYouWho thank you so much for replying you're awesome! I have the AC2887 model. The vents at the back get really full of dust after a while, wish they'd make it with removable vents so we can actually clean inside it properly
My pleasure, thanks so much for the comments as well, appreciate the support of the channel. I was just thinking maybe you could turn it upside and give it some light taps. It's not a technical idea but may shake some of the dust off. But you are right removable vents would have been a very good idea! :)
I have the 2000 which i find really good as it can still do a good room size and is a god price. If you want extras such as wifi and need to do a bigger area you can go to the 3000. How big is the area you will be using the air purifier in? What kind of environment will it be purifiing the air in?
Hi Sonaper, thank you for the review. I actually haven't used the Xiaomi Air Purifier so can't actually comment. I would probably say though the Xiamio is much cheaper and more than likely not as effective as the Philips (and also the Winix which i have also reviewed) Air Purifier.
Hi Sonaper, I haven’t actually come across them. I tried to find some information online but there doesn’t seem to be a lot in the ways of reviews. To be honest I couldn’t comment either way. Sorry I couldn’t help more.
I dont think there are 0.003 microns as they would be too small to pick up. Philip's Air Purifiers have 3 filters to filter 99.97% of particles* as small as 0.02 microns. First, A pre-filter captures large particles like hair and dust. Then, the activated carbon filter absorbs harmful gases such as TVOC, smoke and odours. Hope this helps
MrYouWho Just ordered 3000i for bigger room, quite excited as me and my children have hayfever, hope this could help ease our symptoms, second purpose of buying is food smell in the house. Let’s see how effective it is. Thanks for your help.
Hi thanks for the message and letting us know. Hopefully you get a lot of relief from it, hayfever is not nice at all, the purifier has helped us a lot with this as well. If you can please let us know your thoughts after you get it, it would be appreciated as well. Enjoy your fresher air! All the best! Mr.YouWho
Thanks Paul for the nice comment! 😀 It can do rooms up to about 277 sq feet so you should be ok. You may have to possibly replace the filter more often if you have a lot of dust, but I don't see why it couldn't work well. I assume you would have heaps of saw dust?
Hello, i just got this purifier today.. just a quick question is the auto mode general fans are meant to be low? As it isnt strong fan speed and never changes... what is different general auto mode and manual sleep mode fan??
Hi, thanks for the message. Generally auto mode will activate and go high to reduce the allergens and dust and will then reduce once the air is clear. Do you have a reading on the machine and did the light at the front change? Sleep mode you can set different speeds to turn off at different times. You can also reduce the light brightness at night. Hopefully this has helped 😀 Let us know what you think! 👌👍😃
MrYouWho ah yeah.. just i was curious if that mode will clean the air as efficient as manual select fan mode... yes to both but in general mode i found it is quiet and low speed fan so was wondering if itd normal.. but i think everything is all good now.. thanks :)
I have a few questions: 1. My neighbours sometimes smoke in the garden. When I have my Windows open the small enters my livingroom. Does this machine filter cigarette smoke? 2. Does this machine works when you sleep with your Windows open? Or do you need to close everything first?
Hi Det Rechter, the machine would filter the cigarette smoke, it has a carbon filter that is designed for gases and odours, though I am not sure how much smell it would remove. 2. Yes it does work with the windows open, we use it all the time with it being ventilated. Hope this helps 😀
@@MrYouWho If you have the windows open, you are introducing dirty air into your room and then filtering it with the air purifier clogging up the filter extra quick. The idea of the air purifier is to filter the air in the room - NOT outside air.
Hi The Jolly Frog, yes I agree completely agree! I don't use the air purifier whilst the window/door is open. Although I do like to have them open sometimes which can cause smells to come in sometimes and it's good to turn the air purifier on to get rid of them 😀
Hi Billy, how are you? The purifier doesn't have don't actually have any cooling built into them, they only purify the air. So I wouldn't recommend them for this. It would be fine though as an air purifier for an apartment of that size.
@@MrYouWho Oh, i see. I was a bit misinformed by a friend then. I might just buy one anyway for air purifying purposes. Thanks alot for taking your time to answer, have a nice day!
Philips purifiers are good while they last but the build quality is terrible. I bought one for 300 pounds and just over a year it froze up. The Philips customer support is the worst I have encountered. See the online reviews of the company. In summary the Philips build quality is poor and not for the long term and if you think the customer support will help then think again. Becareful how you spend your money. These Philips products tend not to last. Does anyone know of a stronger better brand.
You whole video is backwards in mirror reverse so all your buttons are on the other side and akso can't read your numbers properly on mirrored backward mode. Is there a setting I have that can flip your vid horizontally? BTW it has 4 colors not 3 and you didn't show the change of the colors in real time because you tilted it too far for us to see color change. You also didnt wait till the machine properly turned on before you started changing the settings from allergens to virus mode which on the visual indicator didn't change, ergo, you didn't actually change it. You could of also said what the difference was between allergen and virus mode, something which average reviewers skip and avoid explaining. You explain the limited things well verbally though but I feel this is a first daft review and would like a more detailed on showing real time colour changes and your perception on a night of allergen mode vs a night on virus mode ie does each mode use a different filter ie the charcoal or hepa seperately or use one more ie how does the turbo setting make it cleaner better is turbo better if u can put up with the noise level. Etc. Does the charcoal filter work more on virus mode than allergen mode or hepa filter?
@@MrYouWho hi. I wanted to ask you if i can use essential oil on a Philips 2000 humidifier. I have looked it up on Google, but i have found conflicting answers. What do you think?
Can you show us how to unscrew it so i can clean the top of the purifier which i can see has dust inside it because this filter stupidly blows air out the top which means when not working all the dust from a room falls into the fan belts. I should have got one with the fan on the side not the top otherwise tell us how to clean the top behind the grill. I can see screws everywhere but i dont want to have it fall apart the moment i unscrew it. SHOW US INSIDE IT! Otherwise its just a money rort to get it services simply cause they dont want us unscrewing it and cleaning it properly.
Hi there! @nihilist4184 I appreciate your concern about cleaning the top part of your Philips 2000 air purifier. It's important to keep these devices clean for them to function effectively. Unfortunately, I can't provide a video showing the disassembly process, but I can offer some guidance. First, always make sure the purifier is unplugged before attempting any cleaning or maintenance. While it's tempting to unscrew parts to reach the dust inside, I recommend caution. Disassembling your purifier might void the warranty or potentially damage the unit if not done correctly. For the exterior and the grill, you can usually use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe away any dust. For the interior, it's best to refer to the user manual for specific maintenance instructions. If the manual doesn't provide the information you need, contacting Philips customer support might be your best bet. They can offer guidance specific to your model and might even have resources or tutorials for deeper cleaning. If you feel that the design is leading to excessive dust accumulation and it's not covered in the cleaning instructions, sharing this feedback with Philips could be helpful. They might offer a solution or take your input into account for future designs. Remember, regular maintenance, as outlined in the user manual, is key to keeping your air purifier running smoothly. Thanks for bringing this up, and I hope this helps!
Hi mister youwho, thanks for putting the time in to create this review. I opting between this and the phase 5 winix. Someone told me that this (Philips) actually 'cools' the room temperature as well??
Very unhappy with ours. AL mode, sleep or low mode it has a vibrating buzzing sound. Took it back to Harvey Norman got it replaced and same issue again. Refunded. Also as an FYI, Philips suggests you to switch off the air purifier when cooking otherwise you will clog the filter quicker than the 6 months.
Sorry to hear that Betty. It sounds like you got a couple of dud air purifiers. The one i have always runs quietly and have never had a buzzing sound also a lot of my viewers haven't had that issue either. And yes if you do heavy cooking that could impact how often you clean the filter. I was doing the review based on regular use. Just out of interest, which air purifier did you end up going with?
Hi, thanks for the message, when you say numbers, what readings are you getting? Normally the numbers measure the particles in the air, as it purifies the numbers should come down? If you have something else nearby like a humidifier, heater ect it can make the numbers change. If you can let us know the numbers over a period of time we might be able to give more guidance 😀

The series 1000 should be fine but just depends where you use it 😃
@@MrYouWho I want to use it in my living room, but plan to move it around with me. I mean, when I go to sleep then I will bring it to my room, or if I have to work in my working space then I'll bring it to my working room.
I have asthma and quite sensitive with dust and animal furr, but own two cats.
Phillips has been on my thought since the price for replacement filter is lower than samsung or sharp or any others.
Thank you.
Will this help with fumes through the window from living next to a busy road?
Yes it will, though I probably wouldn't have it on with the window/doors open though
Consume energetic in Kw?
Would it help with pet hair, too?
I would go for the Winix Stage 5 if you have pet hair :)
does it smell?
Hi I have the 2000 Philips air purifier does it have child lock cause it doesn’t mention it in the book it’s a shame cause I would use it ...
Hi Nathalie, thank you for the message, unfortunately I dont think it has a child lock, you are right though it would be a great feature 😀
@@MrYouWho ok thank you for your reply have a nice day 😊
which is good the series 1000,2000,3000 ??
I have the 2000 which i find really good as it can still do a good room size and is a god price. If you want extras such as wifi and need to do a bigger area you can go to the 3000. How big is the area you will be using the air purifier in? What kind of environment will it be purifiing the air in?
what do you think of xiaomi air purifier 3? is this one better?
Hi Sonaper, thank you for the review. I actually haven't used the Xiaomi Air Purifier so can't actually comment. I would probably say though the Xiamio is much cheaper and more than likely not as effective as the Philips (and also the Winix which i have also reviewed) Air Purifier.
@@MrYouWho did you hear about the dir devil company purifiers? is this company reliable what you think?
Hi Sonaper, I haven’t actually come across them. I tried to find some information online but there doesn’t seem to be a lot in the ways of reviews. To be honest I couldn’t comment either way. Sorry I couldn’t help more.
Hi! Hepa filter 0,3 micron or 0.003 micron?
Hi, it removes 0.3 microns. 😀
Are there 0.003 micron air purifiers? Is Philips 5000 one?
I dont think there are 0.003 microns as they would be too small to pick up.
Philip's Air Purifiers have 3 filters to filter 99.97% of particles* as small as 0.02 microns. First, A pre-filter captures large particles like hair and dust. Then, the activated carbon filter absorbs harmful gases such as TVOC, smoke and odours.
Hope this helps
Just saw your watch reviews then this, good work!
Thanks Andy :)
Thanks guys for another great video!
Thanks Andrew!!! 👍👌😃😀
So do you think the 2000 is the best air purifier?
I think you get the best value for money out of the Philips models.
Can it be used as a fan in hot days?
Hi thanks for the message, the filtered air blows straight up so you wouldn't get any air being blown on you. So it wouldn't be any good as a fan.😀
Mr.YouWho
Brilliant review!! Thank you so much - mine is arriving today. Got it for my pet rats respiratory systems. Can’t wait to get it set up!
Hi Richard, thanks for the comment! Please let us know your thoughts once it is up running! 😀
so great how much you care for your rats! they are such adorable animals ❤
Another interesting and insightful review!
Thanks again!
Great review! Was looking for something when I was working from home, think I will get this!! 😀😀😀
Thanks George!
Very informative, was looking at replacing my existing old machine as well! 💪👌👍💥😎
Thanks great comment!!!!
Great review! Would you use this in a workshop with sawdust? 180 square feet.
Thanks Paul for the nice comment! 😀 It can do rooms up to about 277 sq feet so you should be ok. You may have to possibly replace the filter more often if you have a lot of dust, but I don't see why it couldn't work well. I assume you would have heaps of saw dust?
Great review thanks!
Hello @user-ps6tq2nx1e Thanks heaps for the comment and watching, your support is really appreciated! 😀
Cool video Andy!

Are philips purifier ozon free??
Hi Richy, yes I believe they are :)
Hopefully this has helped 😀
Let us know what you think! 👌👍😃
MrYouWho ah yeah.. just i was curious if that mode will clean the air as efficient as manual select fan mode... yes to both but in general mode i found it is quiet and low speed fan so was wondering if itd normal.. but i think everything is all good now.. thanks :)
I use it nearly all the time on auto and just use night mode when I go to bed. Hope it is really helping your air quality 😃
I have a few questions:
1. My neighbours sometimes smoke in the garden. When I have my Windows open the small enters my livingroom. Does this machine filter cigarette smoke?
2. Does this machine works when you sleep with your Windows open? Or do you need to close everything first?
The smoke (not the small) 🙃
Hi Det Rechter, the machine would filter the cigarette smoke, it has a carbon filter that is designed for gases and odours, though I am not sure how much smell it would remove.
2. Yes it does work with the windows open, we use it all the time with it being ventilated.
Hope this helps 😀
@@MrYouWho
If you have the windows open, you are introducing dirty air into your room and then filtering it with the air purifier clogging up the filter extra quick.
The idea of the air purifier is to filter the air in the room - NOT outside air.
Hi The Jolly Frog, yes I agree completely agree! I don't use the air purifier whilst the window/door is open. Although I do like to have them open sometimes which can cause smells to come in sometimes and it's good to turn the air purifier on to get rid of them 😀
How effective would you say this one is for cooling purposes? I live in an apartment which is 54m² = 581ft2.
Awesome video legend!
Thanks heaps for the comment and watching, your support is really appreciated! 😀
is it good against sigarette smoke
Yes it does help with cigarette smoke, although I am not sure it gets the smell out of the room completely.
Also, operating this during winter makes you freeze your butt off unless you have the heating on.
Hi Betty, i didn't actually find it reduced the temperature, although I do live in a subtropical climate :) Does it work ok when you have heating on?
Thanks Mr.YouWho!!!! 😃
Thanks Jack!
Thanks MrYOUWHO! :)
Thanks Tony!!!!
Is the app as unfriendly as they say?
Reviews are mixed with some people saying good, others not. But I found it quite easy to use. Hope this helps 😃
Very informative, thanks heaps, got the air purifier and it was as good as you said!
That's great Drew! Glad it has worked well for you! Thanks for the feedback!
Awesome video thanks Andy
Thanks for the comment and support!
Great review, really easy to understand thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
I can't find it😭
Hey Misty, what can't you find?
Really enjoyed this review, thanks!
Thanks, appreciate the comment!
Great review thanks
Thanks for watching!
Really good video, thanks, well done!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great review, thanks!
Thanks for watching!
2:17 0.003 µm? no way. It's 0.3 µm or 300 nm
Philips say it can filter down to 0.03 microns. I haven't got the technology to check that though
Thanks for this. What do the numbers mean??? Our numbers are going all over the place.
@@MrYouWho We got up to 400 when my Mum was cooking! Thankfully it's now hovering around 10 and on blue, but every so often it skyrockets up to the 70s..
That means it is working exactly as it should. Cooking throws off a lot of particles, I once got mine up to the high 400s when I had a BBQ outside. It filters the air which we can't see. Have you fellt a difference?
@@MrYouWho Phew, good to know! And I really do notice the difference in air quality. So glad we have this during the winter months. Thanks so much for your insight!

Good luck for you ❤️💕 with my best wishes 🎉❣️💕
Thank you for the comment, you too! :)
Nobody is telling us how to deal with the dry thrown air from the air purifier worsening the allergy symptoms and causing inflammation in your airways?
You could always get a humidifier if you find the air is too dry
thx!
Thanks too you! :)
Wow!
thanks heaps
Can it remove corona virus 🦠 ?
Hi Ahmed, thanks for the comment. To be honest have no idea, it does help filter viruses but I wouldnt think it could remove corona virus
