Presenting Bartitsu as well thought out street fighting ( which it is) and showing people that its easily learned and mixing it with quick military fighting will keep it alive. Thank you for doing just that.

The challenge with integrating arts is having someone or some people who are deep enough in each to actually fit them together. This has been done well and poorly many times. The synthesis happening now across MMA is interesting but again its sport oriented rather than self defense.

I do agree with the idea of an individual having a core set of techniques they know well and are able to perform under stress, is the best approach for most folks. There are many different styles of martial arts for those who wish to delve deeper into combative systems.

Hello mr. Moore, I wouldn't say bartitsu died, because well, you're doing it. Sure it may be a modern iteration a very unique self defense system, but I think the soul is still there. So I prefer to think of bartitsu as slumbering rather than dead.
I grew up associating bartitsu as the "martial art of Sherlock Holmes"my love of Sherlock Holmes and the mysterious art of bartitsu asis actually what got me interested in martial arts in the first place.well then in the fact that all my brothers and friends took martial arts classes when we were kids. However because of bartitsu I was inspired do dry martial arts and see if a system could be adapted for a practitioner in a wheelchair (I have cerebral palsy) so I found an instructor who taught me a combination of aikido, jiu jitsu and cane fighting, that assumes you are working from a seated position. So I guess like Barton right I have sort of amalgamated my own system of self-defense, which I guess makes me even more interested in bartitsu, as it was probably one of the world's first (at least the Western worlds) first mixed martial.
So thank you for working to keep bartitsu alive, your videos are fantastic!it's really interesting to see the theory of a historical martial art put into practice in the modern world.

Bartitsu actually did learn Shinden Fudo ryu Jujutsu(Kenwa Mabuni lineage) & is recorded as student in that lineage but obviously did not become a master but in order for him to even become a student recognized in document means he did a real serious study, he got a deep grasp of kata & most likely serious study of the entry level but application may have been a whole different matter

I think it is better not to have ridged methods which breeds limitations and therefore weaknesses. Almost all fights will be unique so you need a flexible method to resolve it.

    Articulate stuff.
The wave of exotic exciting orientalism made Bartitsu popular, but it cost an arm...
    Suggestions presented:
    - keep it open source (phew)
    - media: what's the next Bartitsu rave gonna be after Sherlock Holmes?
    - be the crossroads between Hema and normal martial arts
    - keep on communicating around the world
