I respect your opinion and in some way even understand it...BUT...is this Helloween? This album and pink bubbles were a disgrace...after that they went back or backish. I have all of their albums, yes, even this. The Dark Ride is the best one for me, it used to be keeper II...but this is Helloween 2.0 and it sucks!!! :D

Their drummer Ingo Schwichtenberg hated this song and referred to it only as "Shitmill". In a certain way I understand him. It is a good song, but he co-founded Helloween to play stuff like Ride the Sky and I Want Out, not childsong-ballads, even if they were good ones. This stuff came from Kiske taking over, and he saw his band turning into something he never wanted. I liked Ingo and his goals, so I have a hard time liking this song, even though I respect it as a good piece of music.
the story of Ingo is a sad story, he had personal problems, may be because of that he made this kind of declarations because the song is very good, and regarding the direction of the band they started as a speed metal band and they transitioned to power metal, you can see this change in the keepers of the seven keys albums I and II. The thing that makes me sad about this band is that it had three really talented guys kiske, hansen and weikath, it would have been fantastic to see them working together for a longer period of time, imagine if the land of the free album was released under the helloween name.
If Ingo didn’t have all his problems Dani Loble wouldn’t have ever been in the band. They may even still have Roland in the band, maybe Ingo would have gone to bat for him and saved his job. Masterplan may not have been a band if Ingo had stayed off the drugs and taken his meds.

I loved every thing Helloween.....but only up until Master of the Rings (awesome stuff on there). The only latter-years song I've heard is As Long As I Fall, which is good...major 'I Walk Beside You'-vibe ala DT. As for cheese-whizardry...yeah, they've had some Hellish clunkers. From what I hear they're still churning out the same tasteless frommage...and their album covers have sucked roundly since Pink Bubbles (you do not EVER besmirch Storm Thorgerson!!!) But in the end, the true measure of cheese for me begins and ends with Windmill. Chameleon, despite that throwaway crap song, is probably my fave even though I can't go long without my KOTSK Pt. 2 fix. So, when you lot are confronted with a possible MUNSTER of a song, you gotta ask yourself - is this worse than Windmill?
I mean, I can tolerate clunky ballads. I will downright fight to the death when it comes to Metallica's Low Mans Lyric, Dream Theater's Wither, Ozzy's Mama I'm Coming Home...stuff like that. I'm truly regretful I ever came across Helloween's Windmill. It doesn't even have anything to do with the lyrics...the music (or, should I say, the over-indulgence of Kiske's writing, who by the way is another man one should NEVER besmirch....) is just...bad. Cheesy. Germany, the nation, should be embarrassed to be in this solar system for allowing this song to exist. Tear down the wall, indeed...just not around this Milli Vanilli turd of a song.
I often ask myself if a song is worse than Windmill. When it's Rise And Fall, the answer is always yes. That is the most godawful song Helloween ever made.

Igno was also abused drugs and alcohol and was an unmedicated schizophrenic so I wouldn't trust his opinion on what's a good song or not.
