Hi! I just passed my series 7 today!!! You are 110% the reason I passed thank you so much 🙏🏼 you definitely put in the work for us and we appreciate it!!
Kudos on your Series 7 testing victory! What's your next testing victory? 63? 66? Always very gratifying when my videos contribute to test taking victories like yours
Hey Dean! I just took my series 7 this morning. Passed it first try and your video’s definitely were the most helpful resource (more so than the textbook honestly). Thanks for what you do and I’m very appreciative of all of the help you’ve contributed to my personal studying. Good luck to everyone else!
Hey Dean! Passed my series 7 last week and I just wanted to send you my deepest thanks! Your videos are phenomenal and helped me so much with understanding everything I needed to know! Leaving the Series 7 Land and onto the 63/86/87!
Dean! Just passed the S7 first go this past weekend and your videos were the most helpful supplement by far. Keep doing what you're doing! Your content is the best of its kind!
Hey Dean! Just wanted to leave a comment and say you helped me pass my exam today! I watched only a handful of your videos but it made a huge difference in my performance. So cheers to you!
@@Series7Guru I’m going right in to study for the 66! Do you have any recommendations for the best study course material. I used knopman marks for SIE and the 7, Might stick with it.
Hey Dean! I wanted to come on here, like many others, and say THANK YOU! Today I PASSED my series 7 (2nd attempt)! I would tell my peers to watch all of Deans classes , then follow along with every test explication. Also wording is different on the test, but answer sets are very similar!
Just passed earlier today using your videos as a supplement to the Kaplan material and I feel like that combo prepared me very well for the exam. One not so common question I did see was one on volatility rankings in communication. The suitability questions were a little less clear cut than kaplan's but still what I would consider fair.
Guru, I just took my 7 and did not pass. I’ll take it again next month. A few things to note were that the test questions were very long, all option questions were advanced or multiple option strategies, and the actual test questions were nothing like Kaplans. I felt rushed too as I almost ran out of time. I would have passed had I been a little better at determining what option strategies were presented. Is there a video on how to determine that? I’m also thinking about switching to STC for their test bank. I appreciate your videos and think they have helped me close the gap on some topics. I also took a three day Kaplan class with you as the instructor. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I have the answer key for Kaplan. And number 21 says that the investor receives $700 as the correct answer choice. Is there some type of mix up?I notice my answer says takes and yours says a short postion but none the less it's the same answer key from Kaplan.
If the put is exercised you buy 100 shares at 140, $14,000. You pay $14,000 is the answer. You originally received $700. That is not the question. When an investor takes a short position in an option, it means the investor has sold, or written the option. In the case of a put option, the investor is obligated to accept 100 shares at the strike price if the holder of the option chooses to exercise. In this case, that would mean paying $140 per share for 100 shares, or $14,000 on the settlement date.
Hey dean. On Question 79, you said B is not true and D is nonsense, but since it's an except question wouldn't those then be the choice since they are inaccurate?
If you have a question where it is a recommnedation for passive income. and the answers list low income housing and oil and gas exploratory which one would you chose?
PIGS for PALS .. i don't think i wrote the question right. When a client has a lot of passive income and wants to offset it which one would you recommend... @@Series7Guru

Just learned something new the SEC does not approve. I also believe they don't disapprove. Thanks Dean.

Kudos! Volatilty ratings have to be submitted to FINRA.

Damn. That hurts for sure. I have several strategy videos in the options playlist.
RTFQ I think the same thing but yes I did get your channel information from my work contact lol
Thank you Dean, passed my 7 earlier today

Life and health insurance, then 66 after that!
Hey Dean, I’m taking the 66 my vendor is having me calculate YTM and YTC. Will I need to do this on the exam?
You will not
Question #45 it looks like you selected D) $1,000 short term capital loss. Should it not be A) $1,000 short term capital gain?

Correction is made in the video description
For #7, why can't it be D? Is it because if you want to protect downside risk, you should always buy a put so that you are in control?
Yes
If you have a question where it is a recommnedation for passive income. and the answers list low income housing and oil and gas exploratory which one would you chose?
Oil and gas exploratory is clearly wrong for passive income. It is more likely to have a passive loss.

Ques 44: Shouldn't we calculate on 8.7% YTM ?
No.

I can’t find the answers?
