We managed to go on our booked week in Brittany after an “air bridge” was agreed between England and France. We arrived back home one week before the restrictions were put back in place!
You will see - the Channel Tunnel, Trédias, drives along French roads, a tour of our beautiful AirBNB, Léhon, Dinan, St Malo, Dinard and lots more besides...enjoy a trip through beautiful Brittany! 🇫🇷❤️🇪🇺

Brittany, France is so beautiful! Thank you for filming your holiday - I enjoyed seeing the lodging and pool swimming and enjoyment - and the Chickens.❤️ The Seaside was so gorgeous - the water clear blue and stunning. I have a love for France and it's definitely from a past life because I have not been there in this life. I just know I will go there in this life and drink in what it is to me. I long for that. I have a Learn to Speak French CD Set that I must make time for.
Your Vlog helped me visit a part of France I had not thought about and really enjoyed. Thank you for speaking verbally about the history where you visited. Simply wonderful!

Such quaint towns. The stained glass windows were beautiful. How lucky to get to hear the pipe organ. Dan...you looked quite incognito with your sunglasses and dark mask. Thanks for sharing. It took me away somewhere I’ll never get to visit. Plus we aren’t going on vacation this year. Stay safe.

It’s so lovely to see your smiling faces! Thank you for taking us along. I spent 4 weeks in Brittany as an exchange student in High School, I loved it! I stayed with a family that lived in Chantepie, a small town outside of Rennes! One day I’d like to I return and see it with adult eyes!

25 years ago we hired a chateau (uncle, aunt, cousins, brother, mother, children etc!) in Dinard. It was lovely to revisit through your trip. Your artwork is stunning. xx
Oh how lovely! Thank you for taking us along and showing us around! I am always fascinated by the old towns and buildings that have survived so many years, not just castles or abbeys, but also the little streets and the houses there! I just realized that we don't have that much history left here in Germany, meaning, not as many old houses as in France, England or Scotland! We do have a great amount of castles, churches and such, but no little cities from such a long time ago. Your drawings are stunning! I was blown away when I saw the first one! Really wonderful work, Ali! Now I would like to drive to Great Britain, using the train that goes under the sea..... :)

Thank you Rhonda for being so kind! I’ve been reading a couple of books on drawing - ‘Everyday Drawing and Sketching’ by Steven Reddy and ‘Drawing in Pen and Ink’ by Alphonso Dunn, they’re both brilliant teachers and Alphonso teaches for free on RUclips ✏️
The pool cover is neat, and the outdoor washroom/shower is smart so you aren't dripping across the inside of the house to use the inside one. My gosh - you'd think those chickens were starving they way they scrambled for the treats! They are adorable!
The rampart around Saint-Marlo is amazing! What a lovely place to walk. I can't recall where it was, but the building in the photos at the end with the creperie was probably my favourite.
Your "sketches" are beautiful pieces of art!!!! 💗 Your dedication to sketching has really paid off and makes me wish I had the time to take the inspiration I feel from it and start sketching!

How wonderful to be able to watch what you did and where you went on your French holiday! I have been sitting with my World Atlas open on my knee, and Google Maps open on my phone so I could see exactly where you were. I loved Dinard the best - what a beautiful place. Merci’ Ali A lovely distraction I am awake anticipating a medical appointment in the morning. No reason to be anxious really except in this time of COVID it took much time to get in to see a specialist. Being mentally prepared...What a lovely trip and place to stay! So nice to live vicariously. I am able to travel and camp in our RV. From Minnesota to Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming then to Colorado and home to Minnesota . I am impressed with your drawing, you capture the feeling of place. Again thank you... merci’

Love your sketches! Photos are quicker, but sketches are a more memorable way to record the views.

Thank you Sue! Mask wearing is everywhere in France, even outside so we followed suit, it actually felt very safe, but we definitely avoided crowds. I hope we can go back when the world has calmed down and Covid is more in the background. I’m so glad you enjoyed the vlog! 😘
