Looking for a replacement car for the old man's WZ Fiesta ST he's owned since new which is his daily, trouble free motoring for 200,000km now. How does the new one compare to the VA WRX, how much difference in stock performance, from what I’ve heard I believe the VA WRX has a higher psi. Also how much better is the new CVT compared to the last gen. Personally I’m not a hardcore tuner myself, I don’t like to risk my engine, transmission or other components to become faulty and void the warranty, I believe if Subaru wanted this car to have around the 300hp (224kW) mark they would’ve done so from factory & not leave it to the aftermarket tuner world. I think they’ve personally de-tuned the motor to not risk any engine failures also because the CVT cannot handle high amounts of torque so they still limit it to the 350Nm capacity, and they don’t want the manual to have more power & torque figures to cause any issues with the consumer market as to why one transmission has more performance over the other so they kept it equal for marketing purposes.
