Christian Fredrick is right. Based on the comics, Mjolnir can be used by the worthy, BUT this also implies having to kill for good. Captain America, when in war, even if he didnt like it, he killed for a countrys freedom. Spider-man wants to give everything for good, but he wont kill, therefore he cant lift Mjolnir.

I prefer the more mature movies to be the ones to show symbolic messages (such as the Raimi Trilogy and Logan). If every movie had symbolism it would become boring and follow in the steps of "cliches". You just get sick of seeing them used over and over again, such as the crucifixion of Jesus used for characters who are "saviors" who sacrifice themselves for the helpless majority.

My arguments why Rami's/Tobey's Spiderman is the best.
    - You will love Spiderman without knowing/reading the comics.
    - Spiderman's is still bound by reality (struggles, behavior, etc.), unlike the versions of Tom and Andrew, no real threat will be felt; so millennial.
    - No need to be the closest portrayal of comic's Spidey to be a blockbuster until disney's Frozen dethroned it.
    - All themes were more in touch with reality and relatable.

I totally agree, I hate the argument of "iT NoT ComIK buKe AcuraATe!". Being comic book accurate does not make it a better movie. It's like the quip argument; what does adding x (from the comic) give to the story aside from adding x for the sake of adding x? The meaningful messages are more than enough to compensate, if Raimi didn't add his own creative vision and interpretation to the character, just making a 1:1 copy, I would expect Spider-Man to still be popular, but not cult classics as they are now.

I remember being a kid seeing these films for the first time, and wanting to be just like him. Toby Maguire was and is THE definitive Spider Man. Ive heard people call Toby's acting wooden and or bland, but those people couldn't be more wrong. These films proved spiderman can be more than just a sidekick and have evreything handed to him on a gold platter. Throughout the trilogy we see Peter struggle constantly, he gets beat up, both emotionally and physically, as well as rejected, embarrassed, and so much more. And by the end when he finally gets the girl and all he wants, it feels earned. But more than that, Peter learns the TRUE meaning of responsibility and the hard cost of choices he makes. No silly jokes to cushion the blow, or "mentor" flying in to help him save the day and make it easier for him. its an amazing feeling to see this all unfolding on screen thanks to the amazing direction by director Sam Raimi. These films mean so much, to most of us who grew up looking up to characters like that as role models. The new films in the MCU will NEVER capture that same feeling. Marvel films these days are fun popcorn flicks but nothing more than that. Unfortunately we may never get many stories as compelling and memorable as many earlier films. I will forever be thankful for this trilogy and its impact on me growing up. Not just someone who watched them as a kid and grows up suddenly realizing they didn't like them anymore cause im smarter now, and think something stupid like "the acting sucked" or some other stupid excuse. When I was a kid I didn't give a shit about that crap. Is it perfect now that I see it as an adult? No. But it is what it is, and ill always cherish the original Spider Man films more than most. The last film to make me feel this way was "Man of Steel". That in itself a huge deal for me. Ive seen this Trilogy Tribute video on RUclips over 10 times in the last few months and the emotional impact by the end is truly something special for the original fans. The BEST fanmade Spider Man video ive ever seen, to one of the best trilogy's ever made! 👏👏👏👏👌👌👌👌

You could say that movie is Into the Spider-Verse, in a way. You can totally see Peter B Parker as an old and disillusioned version of Tobey’s Peter. Especially because his main dilemma and the cause of his depression is whether or not to have kids, which would’ve been the next logical step for Peter and MJ in the Raimi saga.

I just wanted to thank the one who made this video. The edit is so good that it bring tears to my eyes every time I watch it. I dont even know how many times I watched this video. You've picked the best scenes and dialogs from the movie that tell what life, love, responsibility and self sacrifice are and pieced them together in the best possible way. I think this trilogy taught me a lot of things and I feel so lucky to have watched it in my childhood. I still watch it sometimes again and again.

If you think about it this is what defines Spider-Man and us people whole. It shows that everything in life is not what it’s meant to be but we learn to deal with our loss and move on because that’s what our family members would’ve wanted Uncle Ben and Aunt May are the parents or grandparents in everyone’s life who help us through life. We rise up and look above everyone else we are different in our own ways and we don’t care what anyone else says we look forward and become something greater and to me this is why Spider-Man is will always be a hero. Not just a boy who hides behind a mask but a Man who uses the mask as hope and a symbol just like we use ours. Anyone could be a hero and we can strive to do something better. With Great Power Comes Great Responsibly...

I'll love this trilogy forever 💜

      - Comic Peter hates Tony and both fought for multiple occasions.
      - Both Comic Peter and Tony got in multiple arguments.
      - The Avengers have actually ruined Comic Peter’s Parker’s life many times.
      - The Avengers had made Peter do terrible stuff in the comics.
      Etc

This video perfectly sums up what I love about this trilogy. The depth and moral lessons are just so much. Modern super hero movies aren't necessarily bad, but they lack the heart that this trilogy had. They exchanged relatability and moral lessons for likability and surface level entertainment.

That video literally just changed my mind about the series. I was kind of biased towards Marvel's new Spiderman with Homecoming, mostly because it fit into the universe and was made by Marvel, not Sony, but that was amazing! You really can't compare them, because they're not trying to outshine each other. The original Raimi trilogy did a great job of portraying the hero side of Spiderman, balancing his ordinary and superhero life, and just making a great example of a masked superhero's life. It focused on the Spiderman side of it, and the lessons Peter learned. I think Marvel focused more on Peter because Marvel is famous for making relatable characters. The Ironman movies have more Tony Stark than Ironman, and its the same with their spiderman. They're showing the same thing they showed with Ironman, focusing on the person and their life, except it was harder for Peter because he's just fifteen and still maturing. Personally, still prefer Spiderman Homecoming addition simply cause it fits into my Marvel universe, but my respect for these movies has risen substantially.

Except the rami trillogy focuses a lot more on peter than homecoming, also in the ot peter is a lot more relatable as he faces so many struggles, so much hard ship, and he still keeps moving forward. Unlike the MCU spiderman, Tobi faces consequences for his actions.

I also love the fact that Raimi's Spiderman trilogy resembles few characteristics of the Reeve's Superman trilogy.
    Superman 1/Spiderman 1: Hero's origin story
Superman 2/Spiderman 2: Hero loosing power and get it back again! also being the best entrance of the trilogy
Superman 3/Spiderman 3: Hero become evil and accidentally become hero we know again!
Raimi did fantastic job updating these themes for 2000's in his Spiderman trilogy.
