    It’s crazy to think that couple of centuries ago, sea faring was a life and death venture. Now, it’s for pleasure.

      Red bull begs to differ. Things we often see as near death experience everyday. Red bull turns them as Lifetime experience of pleasure

    We sail in her sister ship in 8 days. This is outdated already because Wonder, Utopia and now Icon are all bigger. Star of the seas is coming soon

    I like cruising but on much smaller ships. I would hate to be on this ship. Too many people.

      @@AGirlNamedVan If they get tipped at all. Many places actually frown on tips as its viewed as a form of insult against their place of employment; a way of saying that they are not paid enough by their employers to live comfortably on in such as they would need to also depend on customer gratuities as well to get by on.

    • @LuigiCp30
      @LuigiCp30 22 дня назад

      @AGirlNamedVan Well, for tipping, I guess it depends on their policy 🤷 . If you're familiar with the hospitality industry m, nowadays they encourage their employees to share the tips and put them in the tipping jar. (At least I've seen that with most that I know)
      Ps: Are you Cape Colured? I digress.

      @@LuigiCp30 , @AGirlNamedVan I looked further into the whole tipping question with Royal Caribbean Cruise lines, and apparently you are already charged and automatic daily gratuities amount to the tune of 18% for what ever services you use, but you can also tip separately on top of that 18% to individual employee's (like waitstaff) if you wish to. Hope you're feeling extra rich when you go cruising, cause its starting to sound even more expensive already!

    how do the rooms get cleaned in 1 hour

      They have enough cleaners on staff to clean all of the rooms. I hope you have a great day 🙂⚘️.

      They don't clean all of the rooms in 1 hour. The guests start leaving relatively early, thr room Stewart's start right away. As the new guests embark, they usually have to wait a couple of hours before they can enter their rooms. Sometimes, they can drop their luggage off early, but the room cleaning isn't finalized yet.

    • @DecrepitBiden
      @DecrepitBiden 22 дня назад +1

      You're misled. Maybe 1 room gets cleaned in 1 hour, but NOT all rooms in 1 hr. I can only speak from my 3 cruises on NCL (Norwegian). We disembark around 7-8am. They begin boarding new guest 2-4pm. Depart around 5-6pm. Sometimes they let you board earlier, but you CAN'T go into your room. So you just leave your luggage outside your room (or anywhere) & just chill & grab some food until your room is ready.

      @@DecrepitBiden For one thing, you don't own, or work for a cleaning company. The company has rules that must be followed. They also bring in extra cleaners to make sure all times are met. I owned a cleaning company, so I know what companies expect from their cleaning staff. They have hundreds of staff members cleaning the rooms. I hope you have a fantastic day 🙂⚘️.

      @@DecrepitBiden It said right on the video that it takes each cleaner approx. 10 to15 minutes to clean and make up each suite on the ship. Averaging roughly 4 suites per cleaner per hour, and with 2,759 suites onboard, all 165 maids onboard can have all the rooms completed within a little over 4 hours.
