Great video! Love the side by side comparison with the original yellow AT helicopter at the end. I totally dig videos that include comparisons between differing variations of similar toys. Nicely done, man!👍
i had this way back in the day, i loved this , i did want the normal version , but sold out so my mum got me this. i wish i still had mine. wow all time classic
Thanks, this is my first time owning this copter, having both now I will say I do like the yellow standard one more, but this black one is much harder to find.
I never had this AT Capture Copter but I had the earlier “Search for the Stolen Idol” copter. Super cool w the pontoons. Thanks for showing us this one! Cool!! 👍
@@TheSkullReviews I try to limit my collection with items I actually had as a kid but I tend to not follow my own rules. This would be one I’d like to add, the box Art is very cool too. There’s just way too much cool stuff to collect! LOL 😂

@@TheSkullReviews excellent! I have a set I ordered off of Etsy coming soon, for my Yellow Heli. Like most 3d printed items I imagine they'll need a finish sanding. We'll see.
@@TheSkullReviews My skids arrived today, confirmed from Jim Egner. They're awesome! They will need some sanding if you want them perfect, especially the undersides. Absolutely worth the money. Looking forward to hearing what you think.
I'm currently restoring 1 of these myself, picked it up real cheap (£17 all in) but the landing gear was broken in several places, and pieces are missing, I've fixed it up but 1 leg keeps breaking so I've picked up the green coloured landing gear for the more common Action Man helicoptor as a replacement which I'm still yet to attach. There is a notch at the rear of each of the "grabbers" arms where an elastic band fits, you then push the button at the rear to open them and the elastic band makes then close once the pressure from the button is removed.
Yeah I got a little work to do to repair the landing skid myself as you seen, I did pick up a 3d printed pair of standard skids that I have painted black as a replacement for the pontoons. Thanks for the tip about the rubber bands and thanks as always for watching:)
I tracked down the USA version that I played with and the palitoy version The English version has a button to open the claws The pontoons on the English version also have drain plugs The way the landing gear is very different than the USA version Probably a real advantage
The grabs as an elastic band and you had to push it out from behind.
I have one of these, it is incredible. One of my favorite vintage vehicles.
Awesomeness.
Great video,, That's my favorite copter of the line.
Thanks very much:)

Thanks very much, if I was only going to have one I prefer the Yellow, but its nice to have them both:)

Thank you for watching:)
Dude, that is awesome 👍. Congratulations on getting one of those gorgeous birds. What a beauty. Thanks for the great review, quality vids as always!
Thanks man, currently in talks to get an upgrade for in the way of new 3d printed skids:)

@@JFvE Likely the same guy, Jim Egner?
@@TheSkullReviews yes, I believe so. Also have the horizontal stabilizer coming from him, too.

Nice shape! Great piece!
Thanks for watching:)
Had one for xmas, never tried it on water, but I remember something activating the front grabs?
Brotha, that thing is all kinds of cool.
Thanks buddy:)
3D printing
Option
It look awsome in the Air
That’s a great helicopter, would it float well?
I wouldn't think it would float at all honestly.
There should be a square push button to the rear of the claw
I have one of these. What button? I only have the elastic part in the rear of the claws.
Look between the landing skills ds on the rear of the claw assembly there should be a square rod push that rod the claws will open
It floats I remember when I was a kid I put it in my bathtub and it didn't sink at all

Probably a real advantage
I think action man version came in a Box
