I love this. This feels so South african and Familiar with all the Banter. This is the convo you have 5 brandys in during a braai when your first bag of wood has burned out and you have to reload the fire . Good job guys. That would be a very formiddable team.
A guy I played with in Italy, was a real good guy, played for the bulls and sharks, then went on to play for Italy, Roland De Marigny, and another gent I played against, possibly Brian Liebenberg, played for France at center
Love it how van der merwe is their 2nd ALL time scorer and hes hardly bin playing for them that long, beast!Rock on Bokke, rock on southern hemisphere!👌👊🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🏈🏈🏈🏈
Sam Warburton is Welsh, no one in Ireland said we’re the best team. I feel as though these guys were responding as if Ireland said that about themselves
Realistically, only Duhan would have a chance of getting into the Bok squad. But I'm not certain he would. Not that he isn't talented enough, just that his qualities don't match what we look for.
Adding my two cents... the RWC was won on defence and that is a huge weakness in Duhan's game. Statistically, he is a poorer defender than Raymond Rhule was and that cross field kick of Manie's that found him out of position was the 7th time he had been exposed on the wing like that in less than a year (New Zealand, England twice, Ireland 3 times, then us). Compare that to KLA stopping Ioane in the corner in the final, while Kolbe ran from the other side of the field to ensure that the ball went dead. That's the commitment that is required of a Springbok player - they just need to be on a completely different level.
@@Karma-qt4ji Well said. To go further with what you're saying, the Boks are ruthless when it comes to filtering out guys with weaknesses in their game, especially in their defence. Look at guys like Fassi, Dweba and Dayimani, quality players with dynamic plays in them, but they have weaknesses they have to overcome before being allowed to wear the Bok jersey. Duhan would have been in the same boat if he was playing in SA. You have to be an all round player to get into the Bok team and have something special to offer. We are fortunate in that way.
Imagine being South African but ending up playing for an international team other then the Springboks 😮💨ag shame boet... I can't believe SA let that chap who played for Ireland in, as far as I'm concerned if you've every played for another country you can fuck right off, you never get to play for the Bokke.
You sound like a pretentious old woman my mum had to deal with when we moved to New Zealand from South Africa. She told my mum she'd never betray her country, yet we weren't surviving and there was no future for me or my siblings. Today I look back and am thankful my parents left South Africa, but I'm still a South African. People make decisions based on where the opportunities are, it doesn't make them less South African than you, I wonder who gave you this mindset? Luckily someone as uneducated as yourself don't get to choose who's allowed to do what.
I disagree bro. I would have a problem if we did what they do in the NH and pick players who qualify on residency. I have no problem with a guy like Jean Kleyn playing for us, he may have played for Ireland as a career move, but you know when he was growing up, he dreamt of playing for us, not them. That is good enough for me.
Please do me a favor gents and Google Andy Mcdonald a ex Rhodesian/Sprinbok player that wrestled a lion😂 sorry grandfather came from Rhodesia. Love the history this was in the 1960s
HE would qualify by nationality , But wasnt born here and went across. Think it didnt fit with the theme. However i also thought about him when they were choosing. Glad to see i wasnt the only one!
Yeah it's crazy I've always hated it. But at the same time it is a good thing for rugby globally as the likes of Tonga, Japan, Samoa etc can pick up more players and make the international scene more competitive.
@@ioanis6718 yeah he only came to South Africa during his university days if I remember correctly? Don't think he would even qualify through residency.
I would have thought you’d have picked Mark Telea on the wing, his dad is a Saffa isn’t he? I know his mum is from Samoa isn’t she and was born and raised in New Zealand?
the host talks to much, give the people on your show more time to speak, stop trying to finish there sentences and interrupting, we all here to listen to them not you
Hell no. Put the ball in his hands and he is excellent, but defensively he is a liability. That kick pass by Manie was pre-planned - no way Rassie was not aware that DvdM had given away 6 tries like that in the preceding 12 months.
Please make a International Saffa abroad side vs The Boks happen boys. That would be something to go down in history.

Agreed. He left too young to really be developed into type of winger we use - Steyn is in better mould but not better than our options at home.
