Edit: I found a glitch/bug. In road 2 nowhere, if you spin the crate under the metal box thats above the bounce crate, for some reason the metal crate doesn't bounce! Idk how that happened but it did. I have a pic, but idk where to send it to you.
Also, I swear to god the input system is awful. I keep double jumping when bouncing off crates and sometimes the jump isn't even detected and I fall or the double jump activates and I fall

You definitely don't cheap out on details as even this video was full edits and visual animations, good stuff man Best part is the penguin that's there for some reason.

I almost threw my joystick at the wall in my rage trying to get past the last chase in the new level. 😂There are times when the jump fails, but your work is amazing, congratulations! 👏👏
tl;dr at the bottom I finished the two levels and got both gems. I really liked how you implemented the explanation point box puzzles the games would do. They're very well thought out and were really satisfying to figure out. You've nailed balancing reactionary platforming, precision platforming and puzzles so well that I'd say that your level design is on par with a professional game dev. Despite failing a good 50 times I didn't feel like I was getting cheated (for the most part). Learning when to react and calculate my jumps made it so that there wasn't a dull moment, making it much better than mindless jumping and walking. However, there were still a few issues I felt playing it. Sometimes whenever I tried to jump right on the edge my jump input wouldn't register or it would do the double jump animation, meaning that I was so off that I ended up jumping mid fall. From what I could tell, there's juuuuust a little bit of delay between me pressing the button and the actual jump being executed. To get around this I pressed the jump button a few milliseconds before I thought I needed to; maybe like 2 or 3 frames worth of delay. The lack of a shadow and odd depth perception threw me off as well. A shadow would probably fix the depth issue, but maybe also tilting the camera a bit higher would also help give you a better perspective on how far each platform is. Despite these issues, this was still a really fun time. If you have more levels in the work, I'd play em in a heartbeat. You have some real talent in level design. game so good even some jank doesn't stop it from being good

Some improvements I’d make 1: Add a coyote time where your given a few milliseconds to jump after falling off a platform 2: Add an option to customize your keybinds 3: If you can, please add a Mac port 4: add shadows so the depth perception isn’t wonky (you can turn this off in the settings) 5: Make a boss fight
Add a framerate option where you can change your framerate from 1 - unlimited ( edit ) : also add a windowed mode aswell as resolution for the people who have a toaster

Definitely not perfect, but goddamn is it close. Great job! Also, should definitely make an original game so you could sell it. You even have a main character already in pingun. I dunno if you remember a comment from me in one of your last vids about your Crash fan game, I criticised the finicky double jump. I gotta say; you've done such a good job on improving the game man, big props. You've earned yourself a sub simply for the effort and great work :)
I FINALLY PLAYED THIS FAN GAME and I give you 9.99/10 here is why because there is no shadow (also I played it on my cousin pc so you will never see me play this again)
I like how you swept the shadow problem under the rug and "fixed" the issue by just changing the level layout (never mind the second level where some jumps are partially hidden by the camera perspective).

I absolutely love your cheap, janky animation. It's one of those things that shouldn't work, but you make it look so expressive and dynamic!
Ya same thing with Dani, his editing style is janky and cheap but it works 100%

The only thing missed is having a visible shadow underneath Crash. 3D platforming and depth perception can be unnecessarily difficult without one.
