@@XhoniD you might want to look free mcboot it's a hacked memory card that softmods the ps2, you use it along with a sata converted network adapter and a 2tb hard drive and you can have the entire ps2 library on a hard drive and load them up with either HD loader or opl
I cleaned up an old fat ps2 that was given to me. The console still had the original void sticker so it had never been opened. I cleaned every nook and cranny and the optical drive still took some time to read the discs but it works like a champ. Cleaning up older consoles is so satisfying!
To remove stickers easily, use 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol and then use a fine blunt blade or scraper to get up under the sticker. You can then remove the whole sticker in one go and clean the adhesive with the same iso alcohol. It's also ESD-safe.
@@BEAST_69 It shouldn't damage the plastic, so long as you're erring on the side of safety you can make sure it's diluted a bit with water before using it on any plastics. Same applies to using something like 70% alcohol for it instead of 91%. I'd also dab it off with a dry cloth afterwards. For any of the internals, I wouldn't dilute it or I'd use the higher-grade alcohol, otherwise you run the risk of rust developing on the metal innards of the console itself or minerals being left behind and creating residue/gunk on the internals.
i use wd40!! no damage for plastic parts, i use wd 40 also to remove stickers from other stickers :O but it works just if the sticker you want to save is laminated because wd40 immediately dissolves the glue but does not attack vinyl, plastic, ABS, polycarbonate and other similar materials
Something tells me this PS2 was given to a child by their parents, and it explains the Cartoon Network stickers Kids tend to treat their electronics like shit, so thats probably why it was broken

Bloody hell you're a bit rough. No molikot on the DVD lens sled worm gear, and it looked like you forgot to connect the fan. You can't be that rough with a toothbrush on a mainboard, you could rip smd components off, destroy traces. I actually cringed when you used that incredibly rough dish brush on plastics.....
hahaha don't worry my friend, everything looks much rougher than it is because of the speed of the video. so that they are not so long I need to give them a little speed because otherwise they would last for hours.
I've soon Goo Gone in the US at Wal-Mart in the home cleaning isle. I don't remember seeing in other countries, but I also wasn't shopping in other countries. Goo Gone is a cleaner made from citrus oil (probably orange & lemon). Conversely, you can use lighter or camp fuel. It's a petroleum distillate.
My only complaints are you would move a cleaned part to the desk and then start cleaning a dirty part over the clean part which in my mind would allow dust and whatnot to fall on top of the previously cleaned part... THAT and Code Veronica.
you forgot plug system fan so after 30 mins or less that ps2 will shot down by overheating but your restoration was great and the shape is very well and clean like a new one.
have you considered getting a phone cleaning kit on amazon? i bought one and use it to clean my retro consoles cuz it came with an anti static bruah and hand air blower thingy
Exelente Restauración lo bueno es que solo requeria un poco de limpieza y quedo como nueva la verdad es que la Fat es hermosa y como no tenia rasguños no requeriste pintarla.
Instead of furniture polish use plastics restorer and protectant for automobiles. It'll hold up better to the constant touching and it usually has a UV protectant to slow/stop yellowing. I use Mother's Back to Black.
sorry mate but there is no link as i buy it by the liter at a place near my house. but any vinyl for plastic works the same, I bought one at walmart, I don't really remember the brand but it was quite good and cheap.

Also look into an Australian product called Orange Power, the vitamin c neutralizes the glue and it literally just falls off

Im new here,,i like ur content bro
welcome friend, thank you very much for taking the time to see my content.
I don’t understand why there are so many likes: the person didn’t fix ANYTHING, but simply dismantled the console and CLEANED it)
If the console wasnt broken to begin with, is that not the exact definition of a restoration?🤷🏻♂️
Try doing it successfully and record it! You sound jealous
Curiosa ps2 mexicana
16:16 what was that polish been called?
Nice job Dude.
I recommend you using tools like IT Duster, ultrasonic cleaner and small polishing machine.
Someone put Cartoon Network character stickers on their PlayStation 2.
Nice one you saved my @$$ . Probably one of the worst consoles I've ever took apart .
Sir do you know where to buy most part of the ps2 in the Philippines??
Is the power supply board supposed to be sticky on the bottom (green side)
Yeah, that is solder flux residue, straight from the factory-
Ese es el modelo 35001 sera bueno??? muchos dicen que el mejor es el 39001.
Sim, o melhor PS2 da série original é o 39001.. e o pior é o 50001
