Sorry @alvaro costa , I agree with Marisol. I speak both languages, and they are similar in written version and grammar ( not the same, but similar....that's what she said) however pronunciation is very, very different. Anyways this is a music reaction, not a language discussion. Great music, good reaction.
Dear@@poppad331, good morning from Porto, Portugal. I understand what you mean by similar, however, we are talking about two separate languages, not just politically and geographically, but most importantly, by time. Galician-Portuguese, a romance language with it's origins in vulgar Latin, was already been spoken on the 2nd century and was a language of its own between the 7th and 8th century. Old Castilian, which is the basis of what we today call Spanish, originated later and can be identified as a language from the 10th century onward. In fact, it's more difficult for a Spaniard to read or understand Portuguese then the other way round. I'm a native Portuguese speaker who knows Spanish. But you are right, this is not a linguistic discussion, it's about music and this is one of the greatest bands and one of the most beautiful songs ever written.
When I was a teenager, I went into a local guitar store, and in big signs was written "No Stairway to Heaven" because the salespeople had gotten so sick of hearing amateurs trying to play it. It's hard to believe any guitarist hasn't heard what may be the most famous riff in history.
@@cormyat07 they weren't tired of hearing it. Ever since Wayne's World came out it's been "cool" for the salespeople to post those signs. Nobody gets tired of Stairway to Heaven. They're just jealous they can't play it. Unfortunately this is partly why new guitarists arent hearing the song anymore
@@jasonhagar1758 Lol. Problem is, 90% of customers trying to play Stairway to Heaven can't actually play it. That's why you see the signs. Same with "Jump" by Van Halen anywhere that sold keyboards.

In my opinion, the most iconic song in rock n roll. I danced my first slow dance with boy to this song in 7th grade. You can just imagine a bunch of 12 and 13 year old awkwardly holding on to their dance partners a foot apart. And then the tempo kicks up and nobody knows what to do next.😂 We were all so nervous and inexperienced. And young. I know I had sweaty hands all night. Things sure are different now. I'm really glad you enjoyed this song. Black Dog sounds great for the next one. Immigrant Song, Whole Lotta Love, Kashmir, Since I've Been Loving You, When the Levee Breaks, No Quarter, Ramble On, Dazed and Confused, Communication Breakdown.....
The ending verse “And as we wind on down the road, our shadows taller than our souls, there walks a lady we all know, who shines white light and wants it shown, how everything still turns to gold, and if you listen very hard, the tune will come to you at last, when all are one and one is all, to be a rock and not to roll.
This is my favorite Zeppelin song but another great one is Black Dog you nailed it I think you'll really like that one!!! There's so many but those are my two favorites! Nice reaction!!
Page enjoyed taking people on a journey and this one in paticular. He said he wanted this number to start off soft and melodic, then take you to a rocking midrange, and then off course lead you to an explosion of sound in the last section. I really love songs that do this. Shows their creativity from being able to calm you, wake you up and send you into a tornado. Interesting and fun the whole way.

The solo seems doable as far as playing the notes goes. It's just the feeling that is hard to capture. The string bends have a lot of oomph in them, like emotional oomph. Some of them are more than a full tone raised too, not that easy on the fingers to practice. The 12 string parts, probably 2-3 tracks of them, always make me want to buy a 12 string and a reverb pedal. Epic song. I just never gets old.
