Today we are making our way from JFK airport in New York City to our new home in upstate in the artsy village of Beacon, New York. This is our first glimpse of our new industrial loft home in New York. This is just the beginning of our cross country move from Los Angeles to New York to start our new life. We'll also make some trips to Target, put together some IKEA furniture systems, and we will give you an empty house tour to show you all our plans for our creative studio space. This studio will mainly be used for all our creative endeavors like photoshoots, video shoots, painting, music, etc. So let's all take a little trip to Beacon, New York today and witness our very first look into the next chapter of our lives

I fully agree with you! However here we needed something set up so we can start working and this helped solve that for us. I absolutely love curating a space slow and I’m sure down the line we’ll get something that will replace and that we will cherish as time goes on!

Beacon is a great town, great restaurants. I live across the bridge in town of Newburgh. The Hudson Valley is awesome since we are so close to NYC, CT, NJ, and Mass. Enjoy your new home 😊.

That loft space you’re living in was developed on the backs of and displacement of a community.
I’m bringing to your attention so you’re aware of the history and the reasons why you can afford to have a space like this within a quaint city that looks very much like a small town.
Remember this and treat the area and the few that have been able to stay with respect and homage.
This is coming from some who was raised in Beacon, now NYC. My wife and I (🏳️🌈) love Beacon and hope that couples like yourself are kind and remain respectful to our old community- enjoy the DIA it’s a beautiful place

RUclips recommended your video! I live in beautiful Oradell, NJ, 10 minutes away from the IKEA store you visited. Beacon is lovely! It's just a hour away from where Iive and has that great art gallery, the DIA.

I moved out of NYC bout 7 years ago to San JUan, at first I like many thought i would miss it and feel horrible n all that...I am here to tell you there is a life out of these huge cities....even if your gay and lived in them all your life. I still cant believe I live 7 blocks from a beach I use to come too one a year to vaca and that I actually love my neighbors!

I happened to come upon your video on you tube. Beacon is a cool place to live. Autumn is a very beautiful place when the trees turn orange and gold. I grew up in NYC I now live in Connecticut an hour away from Beacon. My brother lives in Patterson NY. When winter comes it gets very cold so be ready for the beautiful snow Your home is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 God bless you both❤

@everettwilliams we are trying so hard to make sense of all the loft buildings in beacon. we found "lofts at beacon", west end lofts, lofts at 50 leonard, lofts at beacon falls, 1 east main street. we love the look of the building in your video. can you tell us which of those buildings it is ?
me and my girlfriend are looking to move up to beacon in the next 2 years! will be taking a trip next summer to check it out. Anything that stands out so far or that you love??

Hi! Honestly I just kept looking all over for industrial spaces, even looking for live/work spaces helped narrow down the search to things like this a lot!

It works for us. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. It makes it easy to not talk over each other or make unnecessary sounds while another is talking
Welcome to my town. So many things to do on the weekend. So many quick day trips to places like Cold Spring one town before Beacon and about an hour away is Rhinebeck and soo much more.

Love the story in those old hardwood floors. I thought they were old wide barnboard because the space is so large, until I saw you closer in and could see foot to floor. The distressed female door calls to my inner New Englander, emo Victorian witch house esthétique. Just LOVE the space. it will be an inspiration. BTW how wonderful it is to be gay, we move into a Fabulous space, temp fill an air bed, make said bed and we call it camping...and mean it Love us.

@@EverettWilliams I actually couln't believe it when I saw thumbnail on my homepage!! The algorithm is CRAZY. HOW DID RUclips KNOW?!?!?! It was such a bummer that those upstairs neighbors were so inconsiderate because the apartment was so cool and we loved the waterfall outside. We begged them to just put rugs down at least to dampen the thumping, but they refused. Wishing you lots of happiness in your new town! We liked ordering pizza from "Pizza & Stuff" in fishkill!
