Today we are catching up in this day in the life upsate vlog! It's our first official permanent week living in Beacon New York and we are loving the Hudson Valley life. We'll go over our roadtrip across the USA and show you guys all the places we stopped in America. From The Wynn in Las Vegas, Arches National Park in Moab, Utah, Vail, Colorado, and Chicago where we visited the Art Institute of Chicago museum and Nick got to see the Anish Kapoor Chicago Bean for the first time! We are going to give you our tips and tricks for moving across the country and what we learned! We'll also unbox some new items I received including the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds, The Prada Blushing Care Lip Balm, and Tom Ford Beauty's Eau D'Ombre Leather Fragrance. This might be a new top favorite fragrance and the perfect fragrance for Fall! To top it off we will give you a home tour of our new industrial loft apartment we will be living in. Including our new wine cellar, and our new Hay Pier Library System bookshelf from Design Within Reach, which we'll decorate with all our favorite books and vintage knick knacks we've collected over the years. Welcome to the Hudson Valley!😊😊I enjoyed watching the video. I too moved to NY from California, except I left the Coachella Valley and moved to the NY Catskills not far from Beacon. My family and I wanted to move back east for family back in 06. I also made a video about the move on my channel. I think people are surprised when they hear you moved to NY from California, but the Hudson Valley/Catskills is one of the most beautiful places in the nation, in my opinion. Good luck with your new place! Also, you should go to Roscoe NY in Sullivan County to fly fish with the beautiful new fishing rod. Roscoe is known for fly fishing nationally.
And he spends more time showing us the Lego cat than the cool sculpture! 😂

Hi!! So no It's not! We thought about that a lot before deciding on which shelving system we would go with but the Uline shelving is very solid and would take a hard intentional push to really knock it off its course! It's the same system many restaurants use to hold items!

Hi!! So the community is definitely much smaller, however we have found the community here and it keeps surprising us how much larger it gets every time we start to meet new people and interact more, so we’re happily finding a good community here! We did in the beginning somewhat have the expectations of less of a community, so that helped us from the start, and when we started to find our community here it felt more than what we were expecting already, so it worked out!

Honestly we tried and had filmed Vegas and parts of Utah but the trip just got very overwhelming only spending a day in each location, setting up and breaking down all the vlog equipment, facilitating our truck and then just life in general. It became too much of a challenge! 💔
