Laura Ingalls Wilder On The Banks of Plum Creek, where the photo was taken for drawing

In Walnut Grove, WI visiting the site of the book On The Banks of Plum Creek. This is Plum Creek, and yes I was able to find plums. You can go for a walk, you pay about a $10 per car fee and go to the river. It's a shallow creek and you can walk around and see everything. The prairie isn't as high as I thought it would be, but it was really nice to give the kids a chance to see what they were hearing about in the books we're reading together.
