Illustrating Zippy the dog laying down for a book The Christmas Detectives
Illustrating a page of the upcoming book series I'm writing called The Christmas Detectives. This is a dog drawing done in Adobe Illustrator at roughly (ruffly, get it! dog joke) anyway, roughly 2X speed. I'm going to set it to some music. There's not much to talk about other than just making an outline, marking the dark and the lighter spots, setting a gaussian blur to round out the edges to mimic natural light and then setting the opacity of the shadows to a lesser amount. This is based on our dog , Zippy who passed away 2 years ago. We miss him still.

a digital illustration video, sped up from 30 some minutes to 8 minutes and 31 seconds. It usually takes me about 3 hours to make a drawing from a photograph. This was The End page where I wanted to have Scrooge break the fourth wall and jump on The End text and move it so that it was like he was walking on the text. This work will be self published when the introduction and editing are complete.

For future reference always treat a quarter tank as the empty mark. Running your fuel pump and injectors on low fuel can damage engine components and will be more expensive than just filling the gas up a bit in the long run💯
