She got right on. People are absolutely in denial! I tried to quit smoking for over five years. Finally, after becoming a Christian, with lots of prayer, I made up my mind to quit. after a couple of weeks, my body adjusted and the physical discomfort subsided but I still had an intense urge to smoke. The holy spirit showed me the addiction was in my mind, made me think of all the negatives, and after that, it was easy. I no longer wanted to smoke and can't stand the smell. Some people have addictive personalities and that is what causes them trouble. When you give your mind to God, He can show you and straighten you out, if you let Him. AA telling you, "Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic" does people a terrible disservice by allowing people to continue in their mental addiction even though the physical addiction is long gone. Sin (addiction) is enjoyable for a season but then comes the consequences! Your support group should be, the Holy Spirit and fellow believers indwelled by Him.
Yes, I've always thought AA was teaching a lie. Many years ago I went to a church with a brother who had been delivered from his alcoholism by Jesus when he was saved, but he had been in AA. He would repeat that mantra until one day I said to him "Jesus delivered you from alcoholism didn't he? And he responded "yes". I told him he was no longer an alcoholic if Jesus healed him of that. The look on his face was like the proverbial light bulb lighting up.
Oh great, it's the personal incredulity fallacy rearing its head. Well, this ignores the fact that one can find very similar stories from Muslims, Hindus and people people of various faiths who will assert that it was with the help of their god that they were able to change in some profound or meaningful way. I always say that Christianity is more about psychology than salvation. If someone believes something strong enough, whether rational or not, it can manifest itself in a physical manner.

I never believed in evolution. I am 60 years old and remember challenging this topic in school and getting into trouble. I stood my ground and told my teacher that Darwin was wrong. The world rulers do not want any asking from where we come.
My heart breaks every time I think of my late father. I grew up in in a family that practiced Catholicism, but I left the church when I was sixteen years old. This was in part because I attended a Catholic high school where most of the teachers were priests of the Eudist order who taught us a lot of liberal, modernist ideas. Basically, they were teaching us how to get around without obeying the Commandments of God. I accept full responsibility for listening to these priests and rejecting the teachings of the Word of God. When I was twenty I worked with a wonderful man who loaned me his books on Christianity, I didn’t have a specific moment like St. Paul on the road to Damascus, but at some point I realized that I was a believer and I rejected evolution and embraced Creation. Sadly, around this same time my father went in the opposite direction and became an atheist. He was in that lost state when he suddenly died, and I mourn for his loss of faith, knowing that his name will not be found written in the Book of Life. Over the decades I often became a backslider and mocked the things of God, but I thank Him every day that Jesus the Good Shepherd always sought me out and brought me back into His flock. Thank you for this presentation. This is a very fine channel, and Dr. Dianne is clearly a very knowledgeable lady and filled with the Spirit of God. Wonderfully put. God seeks to reach the many scoffers that come to sites such as this. Ultimately all of us make our own decision as to where we will spend eternity. We either put our faith and trust in Jesus the Christ who rose from the grave to save us eternally or we die and go to a very real place of torment called hell.
I am a father and I follow these channels so I can lead my children to Christ through logic. My wife believes in the spiritual encounter and still fine with me. At least I want to cover all my bases

Regardless, I do not know what evidence would fully convince me, but if there is a god who is responsible for the universe we experience, I find it difficult to believe that said god would not be able to convince every last person on the planet of their existence and only their existence. I do not think it to be unreasonable to believe that any god that hypothetically exists wouldn't want to distinguish itself from the thousands upon thousands of other gods proposed throughout history. Your inquiry into what would convince me is akin to asking a juror what would convince them of someone's guilt prior to having the trial of the accused. A god or gods that can not be demonstrated to exist are indistinguishable from those who do not exist.
If humans evolved further from fish, why make such an urgent effort to save a marine animal washed up on the beach? If evolution is true, why "save" these marine animals? They are then engaged in the evolution process!

They are interesting as a matter of faith and myth but nothing more. There is zero evidence to support the claims even with humans having thousands of years to produce any credible evidence. All I'm hearing is that life is very extraordinary and we don't understand how it came to be. Therefore God. So my quests why? Why did God create us? Why are there so many similarities between us and animals? We are amazingly designed but fundamentally flawed at the same time. If we were designed, why is the design so problematic?
The design was perfect in the beginning but was later corrupted by disobedient man. God gave his creation...man, free will to know and love the Creator ...God already loved his creation and said it was very good. Man used his free will, not to follow after their loving Father who gave them reasonable rules to live by, but instead followed after their own lusts and perversions. The fact that so many things had to change at the same time certainly doesn't preclude evolution. She talks about a friend accepting the argument but not being interested in the "conclusion". How a psychiatrist be so blind to the motivation behind her friend. It seems obvious to me that the person wasn't persuaded and wasn't wanting to discuss it. So they pretended to accept the argument, to stop further discussion, and of course the religious explanation which was being bundled with it for no apparent reason. Disproving A, doesn't prove B through Z!

Life is certainly complex, however, that complexity took time. When the first flying craft was intelligently designed, it was not the space shuttle but rather quite a pitiful thing that introduced a working concept. It took years for the complexity of the space shuttle to come about. Likewise with life, it began much simpler. The giraffe with it's long neck did not just poof into existence intelligently designed, it took nature time to grow that neck with the components required to keep it and survive. If you are going to consider intelligent design, you have to consider most of the species that are now extinct. You have to consider the poor designs, such as the same tube used for air is used for food to have a potential choking hazard. You have to consider deformities, extra limbs, missing limbs, misplaced limbs, diseases and such. Finally you have to consider the complexity of intelligence itself as well as consider what is complexity. We only have examples of a necessary order to naturally formed or intelligently create complexity which always begins with simplicity. Even our own intelligence does not begin complex, that complexity develops over time from much simpler thinking. Intelligence on this planet works fine in explaining the existence of things that could not naturally form, such as a bird's nest, beaver's dam or automobile. However there also seems to be a time that this planet was void of intelligence and whatever could naturally form did. There is no easy explanation of a Godly Intelligence that magically skips the necessary order of complexity, but perhaps that is a false assumption that humans make about a God. Maybe a God is not eternal, maybe a God did go through the necessary order to gain that complexity to be considered a God. Perhaps that God is still learning. Humans can make up answers that sound good but that aren't truly answers at all.

Disobeying God and breaking any of his commandments (Exodus 20). Lying, stealing, coveting, dishonoring parents, sexual immorality, etc. If you've never in your entire life ever broken even one of God's commandments... not even once... then you have nothing to worry about after you die. I know I had a lot to worry about.
It is just like delineating people of fair skin complexion as white signifying their medical history. It is much more complicated. This is what scientists and also clout chasers do with this topic when the underlying truth is deeper. it is incredible that she got to practice medicine, however denying natural selection based on genetics especially with MRSA is problematic. Look at someone's dog or cat, or try some wild rice, strawberries, etc. We can't just throw a sledge hammer on the knowledge of science just as you can't say that we don't need medicine because the healthcare system is corrupt. God has a way that he didn't disclose to us, just as he did with Abraham.

Personally I think it indicates just the opposite. Read up on how the Giraffe larynx nerves split and lengthened. Would never have been designed. 13:38 Here we go the irreducible complex mouse trap. I love this one. This analogy is used frequently. Look it up it is false, but true for a mouse trap. 23:15 I think the gist of this section suggests that the human body is very complex with numerous interdependent systems. Hence it was designed. Well a good designer tries to simplify the product, because complexity reduces reliability. That’s why we have repair shops. We call them hospitals. Let’s just assume we are God’s creation, and pretend to be that creator. Would you design a thorax and an oesophagus to share the same orifice, resulting in numerous people (mostly children) chocking to death on food? One in ten women would die in childbirth without intervention. With regard to female anatomy, would you design a sewage works adjacent to a playground? Lol. DNA, RNA, every organ and system in the human body, male and female, reproduction, digestion, animals, vegetation (seeds in each fruit and the information each seed contains to make another tree of its kind), the sun, the moon, the stars, the galaxies, the fine tuning of the Universe, thoughts, emotions, logic, reason, the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, gravity, light, electricity, life arising from non life, how an explotion created order, where all the elements and raw materials that caused the supposed explotion came from in the first place, the blatant and proven inconsistencies and total discrepancies of Carbon-14 and other dating methods, energy, etc., etc., etc. By the way, if you will provide any documentation for any of it written by any scientist, all I ask is that you please provide articles that do NOT contain the phrases: - It is thought that... - It is possible that... - It is probable that... - It is plausible that... - It is believed that... (Or any variation of those phrases). Because, the moment any one of those phrases are included, the author left the realm of true Science (remember the Scientific Method we learned about in elementary school?), and entered the realm of beliefs, speculations, assumptions, and opinions. I have a serious question. Assuming that you give the naturalist the first functioning cell (self-bounded, self-sustaining, self-replication, etc), what would it have eaten or consumed for energy? Wouldn't this first ancestor had to have arisen *alongside* the food it consumes?

We agree, the Theory of Evolution is wrong because we were created. However, the human body can undergo a sudden change to a higher level (see I Cor 15).
I have never believed in evolution because you need to only study the Human body to know that we did not evolved by chance. Our body and all we need to exist is way to complex (air, water, fruit's, vegetables, sun, moon, gravity, the flower's and animal's for our enjoyment, the love we feel for each other, all of that just can't be by chance. I also never understood how people even considered evolution and teach that stupidity in our school's to our childen . A fine point but a very important one to make - intelligent design does not preclude some forms of evolution. Think about how technology designed by humans has evolved over time - we didn't go from counting sticks to the modern computer in one step, did we? Technology evolved - not on its own, of course - but by designing simpler machines first and building up to more complex ones. Many parts of the modern computer required developing different branches of chemistry, mathematics, physics. Why would an intelligent designer not first start with designing single cell organisms, then move on to more complex ones. If you're to design something as complex as the human eye for example, why not start with very simple designs, see what works best and build on to of that. Life didn't evolve on its own but there's evidence for an evolving design process it seems to me. If creationists allow for "evolution" in the creative process of an intelligent designer, we'd be able to explain much better the "evolutionary tree" that Darwinists hang on to so stubbornly.

I know there are a lot of intelligent Christians who believe in a literal 6 day creation. There are also others who believe the earth is very old but God created man in a distinctive instantaneous act. Then we have the Intelligent Design contingent who just point out difficulties in evolution bridging gaps without God. Finally we have some very eminent scientists who are also Christians but believe God brought about mankind via the process of evolution. We all have to look at the debates and find a position we are comfortable with theologically. It is dishonest though if we set up a false dilemma where we tell people they can either believe in Christianity or else believe in evolution. That could actually prevent people becoming Christians if their scientific persuasion is firmly inclined towards evolution. Francis Collins and the BioLogos organisation present ways of incorporating evolution into the Christian theological framework.
Only life can create life. It's not rational to believe life came from non-life and certainly has never been observed. Why would that have stopped occurring? Shouldn't we observe new life coming into existence without a living origin all the time?

Whst is the evidence for a young earth? Why can't we find modern human remains (homo sapiens) with DNA as old as other presumed archaic humans (homo habilis, erectus etc)? She got right on. People are absolutely in denial! I tried to quit smoking for over five years. Finally, after becoming a Christian, with lots of prayer, I made up my mind to quit. after a couple of weeks, my body adjusted and the physical discomfort subsided but I still had an intense urge to smoke. The holy spirit showed me the addiction was in my mind, made me think of all the negatives, and after that, it was easy. I no longer wanted to smoke and can't stand the smell. Some people have addictive personalities and that is what causes them trouble. When you give your mind to God, He can show you and straighten you out, if you let Him. AA telling you, "Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic" does people a terrible disservice by allowing people to continue in their mental addiction even though the physical addiction is long gone. Sin (addiction) is enjoyable for a season but then comes the consequences! Your support group should be, the Holy Spirit and fellow believers indwelled by Him.
Yes, I've always thought AA was teaching a lie. Many years ago I went to a church with a brother who had been delivered from his alcoholism by Jesus when he was saved, but he had been in AA. He would repeat that mantra until one day I said to him "Jesus delivered you from alcoholism didn't he? And he responded "yes". I told him he was no longer an alcoholic if Jesus healed him of that. The look on his face was like the proverbial light bulb lighting up.

Well, this ignores the fact that one can find very similar stories from Muslims, Hindus and people people of various faiths who will assert that it was with the help of their god that they were able to change in some profound or meaningful way. I never believed in evolution. I am 60 years old and remember challenging this topic in school and getting into trouble. I stood my ground and told my teacher that Darwin was wrong. The world rulers do not want any asking from where we come.
My heart breaks every time I think of my late father. I grew up in in a family that practiced Catholicism, but I left the church when I was sixteen years old. This was in part because I attended a Catholic high school where most of the teachers were priests of the Eudist order who taught us a lot of liberal, modernist ideas. Basically, they were teaching us how to get around without obeying the Commandments of God. I accept full responsibility for listening to these priests and rejecting the teachings of the Word of God. When I was twenty I worked with a wonderful man who loaned me his books on Christianity, I didn’t have a specific moment like St. Paul on the road to Damascus, but at some point I realized that I was a believer and I rejected evolution and embraced Creation. Sadly, around this same time my father went in the opposite direction and became an atheist. He was in that lost state when he suddenly died, and I mourn for his loss of faith, knowing that his name will not be found written in the Book of Life. Over the decades I often became a backslider and mocked the things of God, but I thank Him every day that Jesus the Good Shepherd always sought me out and brought me back into His flock.

Wonderfully put. God seeks to reach the many scoffers that come to sites such as this. Ultimately all of us make our own decision as to where we will spend eternity. We either put our faith and trust in Jesus the Christ who rose from the grave to save us eternally or we die and go to a very real place of torment called hell.
I am a father and I follow these channels so I can lead my children to Christ through logic. My wife believes in the spiritual encounter and still fine with me. At least I want to cover all my bases

Regardless, I do not know what evidence would fully convince me, but if there is a god who is responsible for the universe we experience, I find it difficult to believe that said god would not be able to convince every last person on the planet of their existence and only their existence. I do not think it to be unreasonable to believe that any god that hypothetically exists wouldn't want to distinguish itself from the thousands upon thousands of other gods proposed throughout history.
Your inquiry into what would convince me is akin to asking a juror what would convince them of someone's guilt prior to having the trial of the accused. A god or gods that can not be demonstrated to exist are indistinguishable from those who do not exist.

They are interesting as a matter of faith and myth but nothing more. There is zero evidence to support the claims even with humans having thousands of years to produce any credible evidence. In contrast, human evolution like all biological evolution is supported by mountains of evidence that continues to grow each day.
Btw…I have already been “saved”. Also, most Christians accept human evolution as fact. Time to get on board.

Life is certainly complex, however, that complexity took time. When the first flying craft was intelligently designed, it was not the space shuttle but rather quite a pitiful thing that introduced a working concept. It took years for the complexity of the space shuttle to come about. Likewise with life, it began much simpler. The giraffe with it's long neck did not just poof into existence intelligently designed, it took nature time to grow that neck with the components required to keep it and survive. If you are going to consider intelligent design, you have to consider most of the species that are now extinct. You have to consider the poor designs, such as the same tube used for air is used for food to have a potential choking hazard. You have to consider deformities, extra limbs, missing limbs, misplaced limbs, diseases and such. Finally you have to consider the complexity of intelligence itself as well as consider what is complexity. We only have examples of a necessary order to naturally formed or intelligently create complexity which always begins with simplicity. Even our own intelligence does not begin complex, that complexity develops over time from much simpler thinking. Intelligence on this planet works fine in explaining the existence of things that could not naturally form, such as a bird's nest, beaver's dam or automobile. However there also seems to be a time that this planet was void of intelligence and whatever could naturally form did. There is no easy explanation of a Godly Intelligence that magically skips the necessary order of complexity, but perhaps that is a false assumption that humans make about a God. Maybe a God is not eternal, maybe a God did go through the necessary order to gain that complexity to be considered a God. Perhaps that God is still learning. Humans can make up answers that sound good but that aren't truly answers at all.

This is what scientists and also clout chasers do with this topic when the underlying truth is deeper. it is incredible that she got to practice medicine, however denying natural selection based on genetics especially with MRSA is problematic. Look at someone's dog or cat, or try some wild rice, strawberries, etc. We can't just throw a sledge hammer on the knowledge of science just as you can't say that we don't need medicine because the healthcare system is corrupt. God has a way that he didn't disclose to us, just as he did with Abraham.

Sometimes these creationist videos try to muddy the water by throwing in some factual evidence to validate their assertions. This video throws in a huge amount of camouflage. DNA, RNA, every organ and system in the human body, male and female, reproduction, digestion, animals, vegetation (seeds in each fruit and the information each seed contains to make another tree of its kind), the sun, the moon, the stars, the galaxies, the fine tuning of the Universe, thoughts, emotions, logic, reason, the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, gravity, light, electricity, life arising from non life, how an explotion created order, where all the elements and raw materials that caused the supposed explotion came from in the first place, the blatant and proven inconsistencies and total discrepancies of Carbon-14 and other dating methods, energy, etc., etc., etc.
By the way, if you will provide any documentation for any of it written by any scientist, all I ask is that you please provide articles that do NOT contain the phrases:
- It is thought that...
- It is possible that...
- It is probable that...
- It is plausible that...
- It is believed that...
(Or any variation of those phrases).
Because, the moment any one of those phrases are included, the author left the realm of true Science (remember the Scientific Method we learned about in elementary school?), and entered the realm of beliefs, speculations, assumptions, and opinions.

I have a serious question. Assuming that you give the naturalist the first functioning cell (self-bounded, self-sustaining, self-replication, etc), what would it have eaten or consumed for energy? Wouldn't this first ancestor had to have arisen *alongside* the food it consumes?
Plants were created before day five and six creatures...and the therefore had something to eat. God saw to it that his creation was fed.

I have never believed in evolution because you need to only study the Human body to know that we did not evolved by chance. Our body and all we need to exist is way to complex (air, water, fruit's, vegetables, sun, moon, gravity, the flower's and animal's for our enjoyment, the love we feel for each other, all of that just can't be by chance. I also never understood how people even considered evolution and teach that stupidity in our school's to our childen . A fine point but a very important one to make - intelligent design does not preclude some forms of evolution. Think about how technology designed by humans has evolved over time - we didn't go from counting sticks to the modern computer in one step, did we? Technology evolved - not on its own, of course - but by designing simpler machines first and building up to more complex ones. Many parts of the modern computer required developing different branches of chemistry, mathematics, physics. Why would an intelligent designer not first start with designing single cell organisms, then move on to more complex ones. If you're to design something as complex as the human eye for example, why not start with very simple designs, see what works best and build on to of that. Life didn't evolve on its own but there's evidence for an evolving design process it seems to me. If creationists allow for "evolution" in the creative process of an intelligent designer, we'd be able to explain much better the "evolutionary tree" that Darwinists hang on to so stubbornly.
Btw, I'd be really surprised if people much smarter than me haven't already thought about this. Do creationists say anything about this, anyone know?

I know there are a lot of intelligent Christians who believe in a literal 6 day creation. There are also others who believe the earth is very old but God created man in a distinctive instantaneous act. Then we have the Intelligent Design contingent who just point out difficulties in evolution bridging gaps without God. Finally we have some very eminent scientists who are also Christians but believe God brought about mankind via the process of evolution. We all have to look at the debates and find a position we are comfortable with theologically. It is dishonest though if we set up a false dilemma where we tell people they can either believe in Christianity or else believe in evolution. That could actually prevent people becoming Christians if their scientific persuasion is firmly inclined towards evolution. Francis Collins and the BioLogos organisation present ways of incorporating evolution into the Christian theological framework.

@@alantasman8273 take it easy. it is biology. anyway, christians are supposed to be saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we can have long and productive lives in this world too while God is in us, Christians, and we are in Him. This is what I am working on - to treat my body as a temple for Holy Spirit that I've received from God and that lives in us. We don't own our bodies and have to treat them with respect and care.

Whst is the evidence for a young earth? Why can't we find modern human remains (homo sapiens) with DNA as old as other presumed archaic humans (homo habilis, erectus etc)? Doesn't it show modern humans came recently after those other human species which means we evolved from them?
If the body is too complex to have evolved, then can't we have theistic evolution?

Hear me out. Design and evolution both. There shouldn't be an argument between the two. The telephone was created and continuously redesigned and upgraded (evolved) to the point that we now have had how many versions of an iphone and Android? Everthing has been designed but every design also evolves.
Notice the intervention of "someone" evolving the phone. Again, the phone doesn't redesign itself without intelligence.

Mammograms are a source of cancer as they expose the breast to radiation. Why do you think breast cancer is up so much in Western Societies. I would suggest that women look into thermograms...get a base status established on your first scan and you will have future thermograms to check against it.

There is a reason why we can tell from what part of the world they originated from . Wether from sub saharan Africa or Arctic circle peoples they have evolved to suit there environment

While you can reach a real numbers by simple additions, addition and subtraction cannot be used to get logarithmic quantities nor square roots or imaginary numbers. These examples of numbers are more advanced concepts, yet these concepts actually represent orders of complexity well "below" what is observed in cell activity.
Those looking at the new scientific evidence, are turning away from your magical time daddy through which you faithfully believe all things are possible, in droves. What has been discovered in the cell leaves no other reasonable conclusion than we were created by a higher power. Evolution is dead 19th century mythology.
