I didn't recognize the ancient blade as the ancient arrow tip from botw, so I fused it to a sword. It broke in one hit and deleted a Lizalfos. Took me a second to realize what just happened.

I thought that the ancient blade could work since it’s a one time use item like the fruits and mushrooms. But then I read the weapon description; bursting materials. And clearly the ancient blade doesn’t burst, it…..vanishes? Warps? Just…not burst.
The forest dweller effect only works with natural materials that burst, so fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, and flowers (but not bomb flowers). I think the two most useful fuses are dazzlefruit or ice fruit. Puffshroom on a shield is also pretty nice
Forest Dweller weapons only recycle _organic_ items that would normally be used up when used. Chuchu jelly, Muddlebuds, Puffshrooms, the various elemental fruits, etc. Gibdo Bones, Ancient Blades, and other undead or mechanical/mineral one shot items are still used up as normal.
The first thing I tested was gibdo after that failed I used chu jelly types with them exclusively. I assumed that’s what it meant by materials that burst which is the actual in game qualifier. I decided that meant explode out of liquid or gas. I also tested octo balloons and they don’t work
It was a good idea to test. I have an idea like that too. Maybe you guys can test it and get back to me: Rito weapons. Feathered Edge and the like. Normally nobody likes them. The winbirst disrupts the combo you want to kill you enemy with. But...what about ice? Naydras Horn? Freeze, then blow. On one hit I want to know if it works. That's...constructs blown off of sky islands. Silver books blown into the water. So much usefulness.

I honestly did not realize they break after one use so I initially stockpiled abunch of them and fused them to all my strongest Zonai weapons only to come to the heartbreaking realization when I tired to use them on a boss.

If you fuse it to the Master Sword, it's far better. Because no item fused the master sword is technically part of the weapon, but some sort of energy attachment that adds an attack bonus. The Ancient Blade lasts for more than one hit in this case. Try it out for yourself.
They really went all out with the game's code for the ancient blade not being reusable. It would have been so much easier to program it as a bursting material like elemental fruits and chu jelly.
The forest dweller weapons only have multiple uses for plant based items. (Puffshroom, Fire Fruit, Muddle Bud, etc.) The only exception is the bomb flower, only allowing one use.
Do the korok weapons work with chuchu jellies? Cause if not, it could be that they only work with PLANT based elemental items. That would kinda make sense from a lore standpoint; the fruits are grafted onto the sword, and grow back each hit. The most useful thing ive found you can fuse with the korok weapons are *dazzle fruits imo. They kill entire swarms of stal enemies in one hit.

The issue is that the ancient blade is not a "bursting" weapon, the forest dweller's weapons only work if the item thrown creates an AOE effect basically. This doesn't include bombs.
When I first saw forest weapons I tried fusing like 20 things to them, including an ancient blade. They all broke and disappeared and I’m never getting one of those weapons again.

To be fair, it wasn't actually a dumb idea. It was actually a fairly reasonable assumption given the nature of the forest dweller weapons. Probably would have tested it on a more substantial enemy tho.

I don’t think any of us were expecting the toy/diorama approach to the visuals of the Link’s Awakening remake. It definitely caught me off guard, I was hoping for a modernized a link to the past style, either similar to a link between worlds or with hand drawn 2D sprites in the style of the opening cutscene. That said I absolutely love the look of the game. It’s so charming, like you said, and I definitely think it captures a dream-like essence. It’s also just so pretty.

One in a chest half sticking out of the ground on washas bluff where the under the blood moon shrine quest was in botw use ultra hand and you should see it sticking out of the dirt, another was in the dirt half sticking out in a big skull inbetween satori mountain and rutile lake And then another one is just sitting in a cave in a chest that isn’t buried and out in the open in one of the many caves on around death mountain and I can’t remember which one it was I want to say it’s Gorko tunnel or whichever one you ran into the guy in the hot spring inside the cave pretty sure it was that one
however when fused to weapon, then duplicated with zonaite for a contruct it will not instakill but it will also not destroy itself. this can let you put some pretty high damage melee weapons on a construct.
Oh man I was really hopeful that would work, I love the Dollar Tree one hit obliterator, but you know I'm kind of glad because then that would be like the only thing that people use if you could cheese the system like that
When I saw the description of the forest dweller's spear, the first thing I tried was putting the ancient arrow head on it. The second thing I tried was putting a gibdo rib on it. Neither worked, so I wasn't really sure what was supposed to work.
If I remember correctly, the forest weapons, only allow you to use plant-based fusions indefinitely. Like the flash seeds anything that’s not plant-based won’t work. But it was definitely worth a shot to try.
that thing just like admin tool to delete mob out from existence.also remember,their loot are also deleted in the process so be mindful using it on monster with valuable loot.
I'd not thought of this fuse combination, but I've tried several things only to say "huh, didn't work, guess I revert to the last save" which at least saves most of my sanity.
I'm pretty sure the developers thought of that when they bring out an item that says "instantly removes an enemy but is also removed after that" but nice that you just tried out =)

I'm pretty sure the 50 is only used if the target is, for whatever reason, immune to being disappeared, like a major boss or something

The shield doesn’t have the same effect. And why would you fuse an ice fruit? It has to recharge in only one hit.

Why are bones not considered organic? They are defacto organic.

When I saw the description of the forest dweller's spear, the first thing I tried was putting the ancient arrow head on it. The second thing I tried was putting a gibdo rib on it. Neither worked, so I wasn't really sure what was supposed to work.

If I remember correctly, the forest weapons, only allow you to use plant-based fusions indefinitely.
Like the flash seeds anything that’s not plant-based won’t work.
But it was definitely worth a shot to try.

I'd not thought of this fuse combination, but I've tried several things only to say "huh, didn't work, guess I revert to the last save" which at least saves most of my sanity.
I'm pretty sure the developers thought of that when they bring out an item that says "instantly removes an enemy but is also removed after that" but nice that you just tried out =)
I fused it to my master sword at the final ganondorf fight and it had two hits. Curios.
