They're absolutely beautiful, and they must have cost a fortune. And they're in EVERY ROOM, even the kitchen! I mean, owning even one would be a dream come true.
Two things and one question: 1. LOVE how you guys were able to communicate a clear sense of the journey - all the vision and hard work that went into creating this space. 2. LOVE your integrity (too many gear-related sell-out white noise on RUclips, and so little of it I trust. Q: What do you guys do for sound treatment (besides those lovely Afghan rugs)?
i can clearly see the indian ocean and south India maps behind something's cooking up for VOX borders.. well i did submit the google form hope you find it helpfull... ;-)
Not sure, why I keep watching both videos - yours and iz's - ...but I do enjoy it! edit: ...that studio is INSANE! I want to buy it with all the money I don't have 😮
One thing that really helps with sound absorption is to put underneath the rugs underlayment like TrafficMaster, QuietWalk or Roberts AirGaurd. Super cheap safe and easy to cut. It will make a huge difference. Another thing is if you want better sound recording abilities without buying panels or wall installations, do consider dynamic microphones and tube mic preamplifiers get that true voice-over/podcast type of sound with way less equipment. You can even record everything to your zoom etc.
Another good solution is lead foil. It absolutely kills sound. I use it in areas where there are sueaks or chambers beneath the floor that conduct noise. Of course with kids in the house you want to make sure its installed permanently or carefully stored.
Thank you, for allowing me to co-live a life I would never be able to live myself. When watching your videos a part of me screams: "Hey, I want to live like this as well!" And it's not only with your videos. It's with many other youtubers, many other inspiring people. And I reckon I'm not the only one. I'd say 99% of all people feel this. In the past it often made me feel a bit down. I felt that my life sucked, that it was dull and boring. And so one day I asked myself: "So why don't you go and live a different life?" And the answer was simple: "Because I wouldn't be happy!" I realised that this type of living is not who I am. I like unexpected things to happen, but I very much need my routine. I love to travel and explore, but I need a lot of time between to process it. I am a creative person, but only when it comes to small things and I wouldn't be able to make my living with it. It helped me a lot to appreciate who I am, the way I'm living, the things I do, the people that surround me. And your videos help me to nourish that small part, the part that would love to life a more exciting life. And today I know, that it is enough. Thank you and Iz for sharing your lifes with us, so that the small screaming part can be happy.

Since this comment is 6 month old: Did you find an answer to that question? Cause that was the same question I wanted to ask. If you found something, I would appreciate a link or something ;)
It would be a great insight if you can explain the budgeting side of this renovation. It seems like a culmination of a long-time dream project. Not like some other silver-spooned youtubers who got some backups.😬
love it, I had a backyard studio I made from a 10x12 shed for a couple years but ended up moving into a wework to be around other creators. Pretty jealous of that coffee setup though, happy creating!
I Love your design esthetic. 🧡💛💜🖤💙 Dark masculine decor with jewel tones are my absolute favorite, as I see it is yours too. Tell your decorator to hit me up to do my home. ~Smile!
im glad you put a spot light on the influence of money in videos like this and decided to avoid it here. curious though, do you ever feel like you're splurging or over indulgent?
James Scherer i think that if this is their living space, they would allocate their money to make it comfortable because iz emphasized before that they like to make their space functional and minimal. They would spend the money to make their space last long !
Seems to me a total waste of funds on a site that seemed reasonably functional and attractive. Just because you seem to have the means to be kinda pretentious - I would have liked to see you have done a complete rehab on a total, dilapidated tear-down. Perhaps, if you had purchased a total fixer-upper tear-down, I would have been more impressed.
You're like the perfect mixture of Matt D'avella and Break the Twitch. I'm so glad I found this channel! Beautiful studio, too. This is definitely one of my big dreams and its great that it was able to come true for you. Hard work totally pays off, and seeing it finally happen for someone else really ignites a fire.
Hearty congratulations Johnny and to your lovely and cutely deranged family like mine! The studio looks very snug, creative and yet not cluttered. Liz really does have a commendable vision. Hope that the studio gives you everything you want from it. Looking forward to Vox India😬😬

Worth the subscribe. I didn't even realize he had this personal channel until this video dropped onto my recommended page.
This is brilliant to see, you seem happy an invigorated and it incorporates many of the things I hope to achieve in the coming future, however, if I were to take on a similar approach I think I would encounter one major issue. Work/Life balance. Not having a space to work in separate to my home makes it even more difficult to create a gap between work and just general life, especially with a freelance career style, I'm sure you're well aware as you've stated in your previous videos. My question is, How separate is this space to your home? Is this an entirely separate studio/workspace or is this part of your home? This changes entirely how I'd feel about the space. If separate, this seems like the perfect environment to work in. Homely, but still purpose built. Separate, but still integrated with your life. If part of your home, It seems like an achievement that could sour over time. Your workspace would be so blended with your home space that it'd be difficult to mentally tell them apart and could cause stress and dismay as time goes on. This is a part I fear that will develop as my career does. As you talked about these issues in the past, I'm assuming it's separate in some way but it wasn't entirely clear. If it's part of your home, I hope it's separate enough and you have enough space that you'd only have to use it when in a work orientated state of mind. I hope to hear back from you and I hope that you and Izzy both love and enjoy your new studio. - Mike
In my opinion, not my favorite video. But you're a masterful story teller. Absolutely, masterful. The video about the town in Austria(?) was also... AMAZING my favorite OC in a long time. Don't get me wrong, I 100% encourage you to make as much money as you can with your channel and you should have total freedom to advertise the products that you like and use on a regular basis. But there is no need for all that emphasis in not getting paid by companies to make videos when you are actually campaigning with them.
The love and tremendous hardwork that you guys had put into this dream project of yours was evident both in your narration and filming. Very excited to see the new things that would come out of this new space. The space looks incredible, loved especially the desk and the chair (which i found to be quite interesting)

Cool space. Cool video. Cool way to handle the product situation. Especially because this whole video could have been a super powerful ad - the way you two put everything together really brings out the value of each piece.
Great video! Great studio! Beautiful space! But the resonance at around 140hz in the voic-over is so pronounced. Are you using a closet as a vocal booth?

If anybody else is like me, and you're not a RUclipsr, or do video editing, or maybe even a sub of this channel (I really don't know much about them. It just popped up in my recommended list and I was thinking about the design layout of my new place so I clicked), and saw the desk setup at 6:08 and your big question was: "What are those knobs and sliders he has on his desk?" It's called Pallette ( palettegear.com/ ). I couldn't find it anywhere in the listing here or in the studio info links, so I did a little research and thought I'd share with you all. I can't tell you how well it works; although it did seem a little pricey for my intentions of a hardware control for FF'ing/REW'ing/volume control instead of the software controls of whatever video player may/may not work with it, but it still looks damn cool.
OK, 3 things I have to tell you:
1- Cinematography is awesome!

I can't tell you how well it works; although it did seem a little pricey for my intentions of a hardware control for FF'ing/REW'ing/volume control instead of the software controls of whatever video player may/may not work with it, but it still looks damn cool.
