Here’s the thing, he didn’t have to be as vulnerable as he chose to be, but him doing that, him opening up and being honest about his journey inward is how you invite others into doing it as well. Best way to help others is to help yourself. A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle is a great book to help, Mastery of Love or The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, and many works of Osho or Brene Brown have helped me personally. Paulo Coelho as well.

Not enough mention of Eckhart Tolle repeatedly dropping throughout the album on any reviews. It is not his therapist. This is not sitting on a couch. This is introspective change over time and through failure. His inclusion tilts the perspective of the album dealing with breaking down the EGO. A challenge everybody must undertake. Kendrick even mentions on Count Me Out. “I do it for my ego, lord of all lords”

Ebor's perspective / assessment on people in general or black people specifically tap dancing around their deep rooted issues that continue to plague them and they perpetually project that pain throughout every aspect of their life, and never building the courage to address or confront those traumas, before we can heal the world or rather our community, we have to first figure out how we can heal ourselves and one of the steps is to be unapologetically honest with yourself, take accountability for the part you played in the process and seek ways to resolve those underlying issues, that would be the epitome of keeping it real with yourself

I have been praising the production, arrangement and tone, but that word "Thematic" sums it all up. It really has depth and body to a degree where not just the structure and content of his lyrics are just enthralling. The music just has a quality where you are captured by cadence and queues in the songs all aligning. Thematic, Cinematic it was a musical mosaic wound into a stream of consciousness. Even with moving on from TDE he will still be active, as pgLang looks to be a similar manifestation of his semblance as an artist. I dont know to expect too much more of our fellow man in the charts as I believe he will be taking a move similar to J. Cole, sprinkled with a bit of Nas. A road yet to be disturbed, but anywhere close, this is the valley of silence. Until next time, we'll see through his next respite, he is most definitely raps Dave Chappelle.

Love Kendrick's talent. I can't get past his calling people "overnight activists" though. So many Black male rappers that I've liked (Ye, Cube, Weezy, etc.) have aligned with or said things that white supremacists can weaponize against the people who made them who they are. So of all people, to come for activists no matter their timing, is concerning.

This is rap album of the decade so far IMO. Will it hold up? Only Kendrick and a couple of Hip Hop Artist will determine that

But Deep Inside if you pause the video and take a look of her expressions...Sounds like you're "Toe Tapping"!!!
