It’s Amazing. The dialogue of therapy hasn’t been more fluent and clairvoyant in an album in such a long time. It helped me realize my own issues and honestly it makes every other album in this category weaker
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers was the first concert that I've attended. Amazing artist.
amazing first concert choice. seen many live shows and his is like no other. coming from a metal head, he’s the best artist and it shows so much more seeing him live.
You’re so lucky i hope i can attend one in the future ❤️
Donald glover’s Atlanta is a prime example of tough societal messages through art
That show was dope AF, especially Season 2
@@thedon0516 true .
The whole drumless hip hop argument from Ebro is one of the reasons why a lot of hip hop music continues to be generic and cliche.
He acts like making a drumless song is a cop-out/trendy/ easy to do. It's not tho!
Man y’all crazy. Mr morale is one the best albums of the decade period. I am not even American & I can relate with it. As an african I can tell you most of the experiences he speaks about are universal. We too are going through the same struggles. I can tell you without doubt that his album was a spiritual awakening. Its deeper than you guys think. You have to be in that state, place, mental space to understand it. Its one of the best thing I have heard in a while.
Same... The deliberate imperfection of the album is so emotional as well. This album is sssooooooooooooo close to my heart... So dear to me
Kendrick is my GOAT! Experiencing the album in concert form hits different and u appreciate the body of work in a whole new way 🙌
Exactly, such a potent and nostalgic experience giving an extra dimension of depth to the project seeing it come to life that way. Best concert I've ever been to, will remember for a life time
Funny how out the blue I started listening to the album after some time and FELL IN LOVE AGAIN with it. And then this!
WOW It Has Been 1 Year Since Mr. Morale And The Big Steppers Was Released! In My Honest Opinion It Is One Of The Greatest Hip Hop Albums Ever Created...TimeLess And Thought Provoking For Sure!!!!!!!
My fav on Mr Morale has to be COUNT ME OUT🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🥏🔥🥏🥏🔥💣🔥🔥🔥🔥💣💣💣💣💣💣💣
I don’t listen to much hip-hop. But K Dot knows how to make an “album” that tells a story. Reoccurring themes and melodies. A lost art form in music.
Not to mention they are bangers.
These artists just wanna make music, idk why people like Ebro always trying to say some stuff about hip hop culture when he ain’t out here making the music
Why should Conway make music for women who don't like Conway music (as if there aren't ladies who like Conway for what he is)? Let them listen to R&B.
Kendrick Lamar is the right person to this generation God made sure he had an artist like him.
one of the best concerts I been to
jack dont want no smoke with Action Bronson
Mr Morale was more of a movie
Just listened to MMATBS this monin, figured it wasnt made to be listened to more frequent but only once in a while and we mostly dont get those typa records
woke up 2am itm and suddenly wanting to hear Mr Morale. Brings up alot of memories of my mind state when i heard listened to the album. One of the great pieces of art that album.. no replay value because the emotions are heavy. funny thing is as people mature they will get back to this album from time to time
There’s songs on the Kendrick with little to no drums
Herbert by Ab-Soul was better.
How about Mr Morale is just not that good. Can be as simple as that. No one is running from topics Kendrick spoke on throughout the album. It’s simply not enjoyable to me. Sounds like a lot of scattered thoughts over average production, no relay value
There are 100 reasons for Kendrick
You hate drumless rap? Ka would like to enter the chat.
Facts
And on the other side of the hip hop space, Kaycyy Pluto would like to enter the chat
That's my mans 100 grand right there
'This, that and the third' Bingo going crazyyy 😂😂😂
Low i remember you saying Kendrick didn't deserve to win Rap Album of the Year
THE DRUMLESS IS FIRE
This was Kendrick album of growing into awareness and a family man. It’s a very mature album. The concept of having a high pride of oneself(Mr.Morale) to over come it into humility. That’s the album folks. Its growth and maturity
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH DRUMLESS HIPHOP, U OLDHEADS BE BUGGIN
Favoriete album off all time 💯👌🏾
I Love The Content💯👍
Yall gonna do this for all the dogs?
I like the album and I'm a fan of Kendrick but unlike most media I'm able to critique him as hard as someone I don't like. The album sounded like when someone walks in at the end of a discussion and starts to make points that had already been talked about in circles. For example, cancel culture had already got to its weakest point so Kendrick challenging it didn't hit the way it would a couple years ago when it was more risky. The LGBT discussion is another that has been played out. Lastly, music is made to be listened to. Kendrick is one of the only rappers that if people don't want to listen to the music we excuse it with how artistic and deep it is. Other artist we'd say that ain't it and trash it. If Kendrick is going to be crowned the leader of the new school I expect him to lead in thought and these discussions not just pop in give a cold take then leave again.
agreed. he comes out saying “i am not your savior” and i’m like bruh i didn’t think you were? like someone saying “pls no pictures” but nobody has their camera out. his fans made him think he’s more important than he is and he’s not that good at pretending to be humble
@@polkaputo3226he says he’s not your saviour but ends the album with his wife giving him credit for breaking a generational curse… by admitting he cheated on her and speaking about his mom being hit as a kid
@@user-yf3kq6hz7gHe broke the generational curse for HIS FAMILY so his kids don’t inherit the trauma he inherited from his parents. Did you even listen to the album?
"Music is made to be listened to", so this isn’t an album full of music and lyrics to listen to and digest? Or do you mean music is only there to be blindly consumed, you just wanna bop your head?
"Movies are made to be watched", okay I can name a dozen movies that are CLASSICS and revolutionary pieces of art that aren’t made to be watched casually.
Everything has it’s time and it’s purpose.
And you want to tell me that you ever heard a song like Auntie Diaries/Mother I Sober in your life from a Rap artist of Kendricks statue and magnitude? You definitely did not. And how is the "LGBT discussion" played out? Trans- and homophobia are still important issues in society and especially in HipHop culture. You speak with an agenda if we’re being honest here…
Of course Ebro hit on that Stussy x Gang Starr collab. That thing sold out so fast
I haven’t listened to Mr Morale since release! That’s not an indication of what I do and do not want from hip hop! It means I didn’t feel a need to go back to the album. Kendrick is cold I just did t listen again.
Hi rap life, I love what u guys are doing but I'm yet to hear y'all talk about NF Hope album. It's a dope album thank u.
Nah it’s wack
Some rappers can't find the rhythm and producers have to manufacture a bunch of magic to make it sound like their on beat
Love it!
I love Mr. Morale. It's such a beautiful masterpiece ❤.
Conway - 50 mins of my life I'll never get back !!!
Mr. Morale is an album that makes you feel understood as a person... And am not even American but I get what kendrick is talking about 🔥
Any complaints on Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers falls on deaf ears over here.
I can’t take you seriously
'Drumless hiphop'? RZA pioneered the occasional use of light percussion (not drumless) in the 90s. A few notable tracks on Raekwon's Only built for Cuban Links album. Not everyone's cup of tea. Griselda and Roc Marciano do it best.
WHAT ABOUT SOLO REPRISE WITH ANDRE 3000??????? END OF ARGUMENT!!!
I’m ready for Jack’s response.
Another white boy summer baby! 🤣
But are we really just going to compare rappers based on their dissed songs? Because Jack has a whole album that he can say "that shows that I'm the hardest after Em". Because if Jack replies then MGK becomes part of the conversation again without any real work and with that he can easily drop a ROCK ALBUM.
K dot > everybody else
Chill

El P is #2, Mike wouldn’t shouldertap Jack 🎙 🎤
Jack never said “I’m the best” he said “I’m trying to be the best”
I think it's telling that 1 year has passed and yet there aren't a whole lot of videos about it's anniversary, or any reactions to it.
The grammy's will convince you it was a masterpiece but the majority didn't care for it.
That album came and went . It’s crazy how far people go to convince themselves other wise
ngl kendrick fell off for me with this album. i listened once when it came out, and i didn’t not like it but at the same time i never wanted to listen to it again. and that’s not cus it’s so deep i can’t handle it or whatever, it just doesn’t interest me that much.
Kendrick will always win a Grammy but the truth is every one is scared to criticise the guy. If it was drake he would have been heavily criticised
@@rosuzzieagnes124no we live kdot in europe , africa asia in USA y’all just hater
Brou please stop, I agree with you most of the time. But Murray comes alive in the Playoffs dude is literally averaging 26, 6 and 5. If it wasn't for Murray being Robin to Jokic the Nuggets wouldn't be here right now. Murray is a solid second option please respect the man. Denver is actually a good and balanced team.
I gotta say after a year this Kendrick’s first dub the lyrics were there but it felt bloated . There is no replay factor with at least 70 percent of the record. It sparked a lot of great conversations but it just didn’t do it for me .
Maybe is how your listening to the music , if you in the house sitting and hoping for a different outcome it won't happen try to listen to it in different settings.
it’s wild to think about how different we can all take things. i slowly started repeating specific songs i liked most until i found myself listening to this entire album more than any of his others. not to get too deep but, lyrically i think i can relate to this album more than others just because i’m a white guy who lives in the suburbs, so even though i absolutely loved every album, and would love to say i felt 100% of his past lyrics, i could never fully relate to a song like blacker the berry lmao.
Handle em 😂😂😂😂😂😂
did stussy sign Ebro?
So nobody’s gonna talk about lil Wayne doing rock and rap??? Aight bet
What about NF 😂😂😂
Can someone do everyone a favour and tell these clowns Billy Woods x Kenny Segal have dropped what is arguably an album of the century in “Maps” please?!
family ties was supposed to be a comeback hype record for Kendrick that was a huge hit and yet nothing on MMATBS is even half as popular as family ties.
Whether people want to admit it or not, Kendrick's comeback was a flop.
Don't take 5 years off next time.
can’t be a flop when it sold 300k first week and won multiple grammys including best rap album of the year
I thought it was fire
@@barefoot_ty It only did 300k first week because there was so much anticipation for it.
The drop off was insane thereafter
@@yunfun.8893 yeah? y’all can call it a flop all you want but flop or not the album is still critically acclaimed like the rest of his albums and it changed a lot of lives (including mine)
@@barefoot_ty what good is being critically acclaimed if 99% of people don’t want to listen to it again after the first time?
Kendrick's album has no replay value... And that's the truth
I still listen to it till this day
Kendricks albums has INVALUABLE replay value, you just not listening (yet)
May we please have an J Cole Off Season two year review???
May 14th.
Let's have a real conversation on how great that was and it's impact.
EBRO is a TROLL!!!!!!!😂😂😂😂
All the real spitters rap as well on drums as they do on drumless....weak opinion
Lol
TBH Kendrick best album is Overly Dedicated. Everything since section 80 has been mid at best
You're nuts. I don't even rate Kendrick but OD is clearly his worst project on streaming.
If you thin Good kid mad city is mid then I can’t take nothing you say seriously cause your music taste is mid
@@rudeboy4sho I value your opinion Michael. Thanks for the pep talk my g
@@rudeboy4sho anyone one with good music taste will say kendrick lamar tpab and gkmc are mid at best
cardi wanna be Nicki Minaj so badly
MGK,Harlow and Post Malone are not hip hop. Eminem is hip hop adjacent. Even that is a real stretch. They're all really just rappers.
Only thing I hate about “Mirrors” is how childishly Kendrick is dissing Noname 🙄
No
@Marshal Vauban … Chill.. Kendrick is super overrated. He not better than NAS or Jay… He is not even top 10… He panders to the right Elite Groups …
this is why he is overrated.
The album is Trash.. The Beats are Mid and all over the place and the songs are sonically weak and out of Place… We need to be honest and stop overrating KENDRICK’S projects .. NAS - KD3 was a thousand times better 🤷🏾
We found the oldhead who adheres to orthodox HipHop and discredits everything that remotely out of the norm or experimental. You’re part of the problem bro
