Man y’all crazy. Mr morale is one the best albums of the decade period. I am not even American & I can relate with it. As an african I can tell you most of the experiences he speaks about are universal. We too are going through the same struggles. I can tell you without doubt that his album was a spiritual awakening. Its deeper than you guys think. You have to be in that state, place, mental space to understand it. Its one of the best thing I have heard in a while.

I like the album and I'm a fan of Kendrick but unlike most media I'm able to critique him as hard as someone I don't like. The album sounded like when someone walks in at the end of a discussion and starts to make points that had already been talked about in circles. For example, cancel culture had already got to its weakest point so Kendrick challenging it didn't hit the way it would a couple years ago when it was more risky. The LGBT discussion is another that has been played out. Lastly, music is made to be listened to. Kendrick is one of the only rappers that if people don't want to listen to the music we excuse it with how artistic and deep it is. Other artist we'd say that ain't it and trash it. If Kendrick is going to be crowned the leader of the new school I expect him to lead in thought and these discussions not just pop in give a cold take then leave again.
