Love it! So many homes are difficult to live in when you’re in a wheelchair! Doorways alone are too narrow. Cupboards, countertops, etc. So glad you have this beautiful home!!
Anti-tip bars! Cool. I thought I was the only one that used them. If I was a walker I would trip over the flowers in a rug...not a coordinated person at all so for my own safety and those around me I use anti-tip bars...I enjoy you videos-keep it up.

I’m trying to convince my parents (I’m 38 and still live with them) that this layout is more practical for me as I have my own bathroom that was put in in the mid-90s and it needs fixed up because the shower door has been unusable for years. The sliding part detached from the runners and then also the panel it slotted into broke lol.

Erin, the house looks great and you made some awesome improvements with total accessibility. I built my house several years ago the builder just couldn’t understand why I wanted to pour concrete all the way up to the French doors on the back patio and everything level up to the front door and level all the way across, as well as, sidewalks from the back patio to the pool pump and then all the way under the the wooden fence with drive through gates and to the driveway? I just said because I want to move my wheelchair without getting stuck in the grass. “It’s going to cost you an extra $1500.” “Ok, just pour it!” I wish that I had done a wheel under island like yours and that bathroom is awesome. How is the water spray onto the floor without the enclosure?

Hi Erin, your home is beautiful & well thought out. What flooring have you installed? I'm really curious because it's a lighter color & it appears very clean despite your tires & your furbaby. And I didn't hear your tires squeak on it as you drove around. We've had problems with LVP we had put down in my older house wanting to separate. We're looking for a better option that can handle the routine weight of my powerchair & dirty paws of my critters. TIA

I see you got trackball 🖲 mouse. Kensington also do a smaller wireless one I use on my lap that you can have a look at. You should get e-motion wheels still get to use your upper body but get to fly about quicker I got the older version 👍🏻
Yes this is a Kensington trackball mouse from a few years ago, I do like it! I do have the old emotion wheels but it frustrates me that I can't push them when they're off. I might invest in the newer power assist wheels or something that attaches on the back to help me when I'm outside or on inclines!
@@ErinField I'm an incomplete injury (C4) and can't really push mine either...so it's not just you. I have the NaviONE wheels and the battery is pretty heavy...but even though it's supposed to be able to push it without them being on...I can't.

I have them but they are folded in because I was told by my parents that adults shouldn’t need them. It’s nothing to do with being an adult.

Exactly! That's so awesome. And the bathroom is great, it doesn't really get anywhere but even if it does it's all tile!
