    ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Margot and I am a professional artist and graphic designer. My parents like to joke that I was born with a paintbrush in hand. I started my career after graduating from the renown Parsons School of Design in New York City and spent over 15 years creating and designing for many of the world's top Fortune 500 brands and companies. My painting journey started as a side project and a creative outlet for me to step away from the computer, go back to my "roots" in fine art and to hone my skills as an illustrator and painter. I started posting some of my work on instagram and the rest is history. My work is inspired by all the things that I am passionate about. Ballet, travel, graphic design, color and finding a world of beauty in all facets of everyday life. I hope you’ll join me in this RUclips journey as I take you through all the tips, tricks and trade secrets I’ve gathered throughout the years. I hope I can teach you some of what I know, help you discover your creative voice and I hope you enjoy this Channel!

As a beginner, I must say, this is one of the most helpful videos on the practical use/application of watercolor that I’ve come across. Thank you for keeping it simple (and, thus, more readily learnable) in both areas of comprehension and illustration. Made my day…

I watched this video twice! First about six months ago when I had just been using watercolors for a few weeks, and again today. Both were so helpful; first as an intro and again to literally "brush up" on the details! Love your charts of techniques and then the immediate application to a real painting.

Thank you, this was very useful demonstration of what’s actually meant by the terms I hear so often. Very much appreciated, along with your video’s on color theory.

I just found your channel and I'm learning so much from you! I've been a watercolor hobbiest for years but you are sharing concepts I didn't understand. The most beneficial understanding is not to overwork the paint and let techniques like pushing and pulling do it for you. I also just finished making my color swatch cards from your other video. Thanks for helping me enjoy my watercolors in a deeper way!

This has been helpful to me. I am currently taking a beginner H2O class and the prof did not really explain these techniques to class. I did sign up after the first two classes so perhaps I just missed these lessons.🤣 I am learning a lot watching you and I find your videos fun and helpful and you have the same sense of humor as I. 😃 Thanks!

Thank you for sharing this here! I’m just beginning my watercolor journey and cannot ty enough for showing these techniques and moreover just how they apply to the art you are using them in! It’s a game changer, and all the light’s are burning bright now 🙏 I was suggested to view your video regarding cross pollination ;), which was the first massive change in my understanding of the medium and painting in general. I wanted to watch another of your video’s, and so I chose this. Just these two alone will make a difference in my painting’s going forward! Never have had a class in any of the medium’s/type’s of materials I’ve used to create with over the year’s, but feel that inspiration and the basics will help me to achieve a greater sense of accomplishment in watercolor as I go forward in my journey. I subbed, I look forward to many more happy moment’s watching your content, and in turn upping my skill’s!✨🌻

This was a great video, especially demonstrating each technique in order of dampness and implementing it in an actual painting. (Would like to see the end product!) Although familiar with most of the techniques, this was still very helpful.
