I don't think a manager acting rationally can keep Rashford and Casemiro on for the full 90 minutes when they play like that. We all know they're out of form, so why didn't ten Hag make a change?
My reading of the situation is that either EtH is being pressured by Upper Management to keep playing these out of form players, like Rashford, as they're on massive wages (this also could potentially be contract related), or more worryingly, EtH fears he will lose the dressing room altogether if Rashford (and all the rest) are dropped.

You make good points as regards the politics and contract situations. Another thing to consider is replacements. As out of it as Casemiro has been, he's the best we've got. We know how much more we've struggled without him.
Even Rashford (if we disregard his newly-signed bumper contract and whatever malcontent dropping him may cause) there isn't an obvious replacement. If you move Garnacho to the left, who goes on the right? Antony? Or Amad? Apart from the winner in the Liverpool game, he hasn't genuinely impressed. He had 45min against Bournemouth and didn't do much.

Plus, nothing they have done so far has led me to believe they are going into this blind (please ignore the press generated speculation about the likes of Southgate …there is nothing more the press would like to see than United fail). SJR has already had more fan discussion than the Glazers ever did in 15 years and, while it's admittedly good press it's not all just photo ops. The appointments they are making are BIG names who would not risk their reputation to come here if the project they have seen (which we have not) was built on pillars of sand.

  • @Unknownpersonmr

All the people going in on Garnacho, yeah he played bad yestersay, so did most of the team, Casemero could do with a wheelchair he was that slow, Rashford could do with a can of Red bull because he's absolutely lazy almost the whole season, Bruno isn't sticking to his position on the pitch (probably compensating for the lack of displine with other players)
Hoilund isn't getting much service, but he's not doing a whole lot off the ball, his positioning as a forward isn't great either.
And ETH is a coward, calling out players like Sancho and Garnacho, but no mention of Rashfords poor form all season and lack of effort. No mention of how bad Onana was at the start, no mention of Brunos poor form, he's selective in who he chooses to criticise publicly, he knows who to pick his fight with, calling out a 19 year old and a 23 year old, but he would never do it to lord Rashford. He got rid of Ronaldo because he knew he couldnt handl his ego, because Tenhag is a bloody fraud, I was sticking up for Tenhag but he has become absolutely deluded and he keeps picking players who don't care about the club or the fans, they are there for their own selfish reasons. No heart in the club anymore, been destroyed by overweight americans who look more into the dinner plate than they do the club! Disgraceful all round

Hard to back ETH lately. But he deserves a chance under the new setup. At the minute it is his values and principles that the players are being asked to follow. In a large club such as United there should be club values and principles set by the hierarchy that everyone is set to follow. These values are not in place so players feel like they are being asked to do things according to ETHs values, so they feel like they can argue with them/not do them and get away with it as there are no repercussions from higher up. Manager and club need to have matching values and principles and demand it from players and if they’re not met, they’re done

I have been calling for his head since his disastrous signings in the pre-season and the awful performances from last season that were covered up by Rashford and Licha. With that said, we have almost left it too late now. At this point if we change manager then the entire makeup of the team has been changed by Ineos and any and all issues next season will fall on them. That will bring with it a huge amount of pressure and pretty much doom the manager. By trying to stick with Ten Hag despite him being obviously out of his depth, we have created yet another shit situation for ourselves. It is honestly incredible at this point. We hit when we should stick and we stick when we should hit.
Keep him for next season and blame any and all issues on him so that he can be scapegoated if there are teething issues with Berrada and Ashworth etc. In the meantime do everything we can to try and get one of the TOP managers interested in the job. Alonso, Inzaghi, Flick, Nagelsmann, Ancelotti, Spalletti. Someone of that ilk. If and when they become available, discard Ten Hag like a bad smell just like he did with De Gea and Ronaldo.
I really think we need to do everything we can to get Alonso. I know he played for Liverpool but Busby also played for City and Liverpool. What he did with that Leverkusen team was special. Every bit as impressive as Jose at Porto and even more impressive than Klopp at Dortmund. He is going to be the next world class manager. Pull out all the stops and if it still fails then at least we tried.
If we get Potter or Southgate then I am soooo fucking done, though. They might not be quite as woeful as ETH but that is a criticism of him and not praise of them.

Why does a false depiction of ten Hag’s action lead to an air of anything other than very real anger toward the author of the article(s) who made the false claim?!? That known, why isn’t there a very real demand for the sacking of the editor in chief of the publication who hired a blatant liar to work for him or the publication??
Instead, a false depiction of ten Hag’s actions lead to -- an indictment of -- him.
    Make it make sense.

What i dont understand is if the player plays poorly why does he need to do things online? Just own it n agree n show on the pitch. Its hardly 'throwing the player under the bus' by saying he didnt play well n needed to sub. Hes 19 ffs, does he think hes the finished product already?

  • @LemtheBeast
    @LemtheBeast Месяц назад

Garnacho’s still a youngster, plays very immaturely at times and seems to spit his dummy out every time he gets subbed. He has been poor for a few games now, if the manager decided to sub him because it’s what he feels is best for the team then I say fair play. Zip it and work hard in training during the week to secure that starting place again. Jumping to socials to like comments like a petulant child isn’t the right way to go about it.

I don’t think the structure is that bad. He has to bring the defensive line up that’s the only thing. I will put most of it down to the player. In yesterday’s game when we lost the ball and opp player got in possession we had three players on the side Garnacho, Casemiro and Dalot by the touch line. Now our intensity of press was so horrible that their possession with the same player ended up in final third. Thats one e.g countless other are there in first half. In second half we were much better. As a manager you can only put in the structure the application needs to come from the players. I don’t think changing manager will solve the problem,it will only add to it. The players are the issue. Lack of physicality intensity tactical awareness it can be drilled. Just poor from our players.

All this the players aren't good enough is only relevant against the real top teams,
Probably 90% of Bournemouth's players aren't good enough (in a sense of they wouldn't get into the top teams squads) Same for Brentford same for Fulham but all of them have a manager who can coordinate a play to completely out play and baffle ETH because he his clueless.
So say the players are not good enough if you want but you also have to include the manager in with that also and stop being blind and apologetic to the real problem our goal gets peppered with shots near enough every game and the manager says he's not bothered about that aspect of the game. Honestly I just don't know what United games some people are watching
you are not in reality ETH is so far out of his depth United is eating him alive, he his in shark infested waters but doesn't have the brains to swim quickly to the shore, Neither do some fans.
