There is so much vintage, ethnic, solid gold jewelry out there that have no stamp on them. They never used to stamp 22k or 24k gold from the far east in places like China or India. Many small local jewelry shops still make solid pieces by hand in those countries and do not stamp them. Just an FYI for you!
This is how I came to follow jacoje about 5 or 6 years ago I googled how to tell if a chain is real and the RUclips popped up I watched it and been following ever since thanks for the knowledge over the years and I miss the smash smash smash 👍🏻
Always appreciate breaking coming through dropping knowledge for us consumers. This is why me and my family will always shop Jacoje 1st in Fine Jewelry 💯
Having a stamp on your "gold" is a plus, but it's not what tells you if your "gold" is real or if it's the purity your suppose to be buying. The best thing to do before paying for your gold, is to acid test it in the store.
What up everybody reading. Enjoy your gold chains and collections. Everyone’s is so different. But we all love that Gold. Currently wearing my 5.5 24in RoseGold Flat curb, w/ 3mm 20in Figaro (lucky charm pendant)
Braden you need to make a video explaining the difference between peruvian and italian rope chains… or maybe explaining the differences between different places any gold piece is from in general.
I just found 2 gold chains on a parking lot. They are both marked 18K. Thought I scored big time! But then I did some research and they are fake, unfortunately. So disappointing
I saw a recent Cuba knows video when he reviewed a moisanite piece where the dealer will stamp it as higher quality per customers request. I commented my strong unapproval of such practices, but was dragged in response. People stop flexing! Like everything, eventually its going to come to light.
I just purchased my first piece of jewelry ever with you. My 4mm Rope Chain came in and I’m in love. I’m already thinking of grabbing either another so I can stack or a nice Franco bracelet
Agreed. Just got my 5mm 22k rope and it’s fire. My first 22k piece from Jacoje, no going back to lower purity. I want my chains to be almost pure gold.
If you get it to pure it will be super soft gold ! On that note a quick tug on your chain in a crowed you definitely won't own it any longer . That's why jewelers make the rings, chains ext out of less K gold .
Nah, you can do your homework and find better prices out there. You have to do your homework. I have several pieces from Jacoje. However, there are people who give you better deals. You need to know what are you doing
I found a 14K yellow gold chain marked in a thrift store, but when I acid tested it dissolves, never seen something like this before, the marking is very well made
I sell gold personally (48$ per gram 14k if it’s 80+ grams) and since I’m not a shop or have a website I just meet people at jewelry stores/pawn shops so they can have it tested.
placed an order couple days ago no email conformation no response from the messages i sent no phone number i was charged on the credit card whats going on with the order?
Do your research people, I always look at Google reviews and RUclips videos before I purchase anything. Glad I found an authentic jewelry company with saints gold. Getting a Cuban link soon
Bought a nice rope on Ebay years ago with a nice cross charm. After getting it checked the rope was real the cross was fake, the jewelry store offered doubled what I paid for the rope, after my Ebay complaint they shot me the full price back.
If it's solid gold as opposed to plated shouldn't the electronic scale weight plus weight feel in the hand be obvious? And what exactly is "fake" gold?
Not always the case J a letter P after the purity stamp example 10kp means plum as it the exact percentage of alloy to gold was used. Also 22 and 24 k is not always marked what is your take on this. Is this misinformation or fact
Hey Jacoje. I have a continuous rope chain that has no marks. I actually tested it with a gold, silver and platinum solutions. Its hollow inside. When i tested it passed 10 k , 14k & 18 k but not 22k or platinum. Its non magnetic. My question is have u ever had this issue? 2 are there any fake chains that can pass for gold but not be gold. I received it in a massive Goodwill finds box that was 22 pounds. It weights 69 grams !! Cant be real right ??
I am not Jacoje, but I am wondering if it was possible coated in Gold. If you are legit curious then try to go to a jeweler, really any local jeweler store and ask them if they can check and test it for you
I was very shocked I went into a Zales yesterday, I went to test what size bracelet works best for me. I tried on what they had labeled as an 14k gold 8mm Cuban link 8inch bracelet. It had a 4,500 dollar price tag on it!! Tell me why when they hand it to me this thing to me it felt as light as a feather, honestly it felt like it was made from aluminum or something it was that light. I had previously tried on a silver one same thickness and it was considerably heavier. I was just shocked zales would be selling something blatantly fake.
Another informative video. The 9mm cuban link in the demo looks sweet! I always know if its real or not because I am an old school Gold Hound. Rich L Huntsville AL.
Bro not trying throw shade but I ordered a flooded diamond mini boss cross December 20th and haven't gotten nothing. I've emailed them and feel like they given me the run around. About to cancel my order honestly. Was looking forward to getting it but you know it's bad when you got your friends getting their ice before you and asking why is yours taking so long?? And saying we told you to get it from where we got ours....smh. I'm super disappointed
Can you do video on snake chains? I want to buy both silver and 22 k gold snake chains, but have no idea of how much they should weigh, and cost. 4-6 mm, flat snake, and box snake styles, like ribbon of silk! Are they solid, or hollow, are they machine made or hand made?? So many questions!
I’m reaching out Jac, I just got a 20” 38.5 7mm 14kYG Miami Cuban Link. I’m 5’11 150 should I keep this or go for a 22” with 8-10mm I’m asking because I’m not sure I just saw your other videos
I’ve been looking at getting into making some chains myself (gonna start with silver Cuban chains to begin with). I’m in the process of purchasing the presses, rollers, spinners, the heavy duty tongs/plates to pour the molds into, and I already have a forge/medium sized crucible (need to get a smaller sized crucible also). My 2 big questions is there anything else that I’m missing to get started in the hobby game and to be able to make nice stuff for family members eventually. The first question is where do I legally get ahold of the stamps for silver and eventually gold? The second question is that if there is anything I’m missing or need to do to legally produce jewelry for hobby/for sale eventually. I live in Texas if that makes any difference but want to ensure I’m not doing anything illegal and to start out by having the right tools and materials for the jobs. I have a large amount of bars of silver that I was planning on using to make into chains, bracelets, rings, and eventually learning how to do different Diamond settings in the different pieces. I’ve been looking for a hobby like this that can hold the value of wealth we get in the precious metals and can increase the value by making it into jewelry or smelt it down if needed to make bars/proof coins (no claim to be made from any country or for any countries currency because I know that would be counterfeiting). If you’re able to give me any pointers it would be awesome but your channel is cool to watch and I’m looking at getting a 28” 5mm Miami Cuban chain in yellow gold within the next week if you still have it in stock to upgrade my old school 4mm yellow gold 26” curb chain.
I don’t know about USA But in the U.K. these stamps are regulated, you usually have to send it to one of about 5 or 6 places that assay precious metals When our are hallmarked we have purity, year and location markers on them I think they charge about £50 last time I checked to approve it

You can buy 14k stamps online. So the stamps don't always mean anything. So if anyone wants to start scamming buy some fake chains and a stamp.

You should test with 10k... it may still be gold, but lower quality. If it dissolves with 10k acid, then most likely it's fake.
I find fakes all the time that have purity stamps.
Just curious why "16K" doesn't really exist anymore??? Seems to me that's the best everyday ratio...?
I have a 4mm rope i bought years ago that only has the 585 on the lobster clasp.
Fake
585 is 14k which is 58.5% gold purity. Sometimes the number is stamped instead, like for example, 750 which represents 18k gold (75% gold purity).
