Hey if you’re having trouble with slime boss try picking any aoe when you see it as well as a heavy damage card. You should win every single time if you have both of those. Battle trance is exceptional for slime boss also if you find it. Shrug and pummel strike are also s tier cards for that fight specifically.
Yeah it's actually before he splits that is the issue for me. I think damage is my issue not aoe, it's a much harder damage check in the first phase than the video game in my opinion

In a20 in the video game the boss has 150 and it splits at 75 which is like 15 in the board game because it’s kind of a 1-5 ratio on health… like 5 block is 1 block most times… so the boss having 22 is the equivalent of like 110 damage…. Which is significantly more than 75…. That’s why I was saying specifically getting a heavy hitter if you can find it is huge. Just one heavy blade or carnage or even a twin strike with strength is really good for him… that’s what I meant when I mentioned having at least one heavy hitter for this boss.
@@HardxCorpsxKali yeah the way splitting works and the total health pool is the problem. I had 2 failed runs that died on the slime boss cause if you don't break him in two cycles it's over. You have too many status cards in your deck and you just suffocate
@@Kangorth yeah it honestly feels like getting rid of the slims isn’t nearly as hard in the video game. I hate that dude act 1 can be so hard to get out of sometimes. To me the slime boss is the hardest to fight. I can imagine at a13 it’s insane. lol
@@HardxCorpsxKali he's turned into my hardest fight, overtaking the champ. But once I start drafting for him more effectively it should knock him back down again. Don't even start on the harder versions of bosses 😭😭😭 I'm scared 😱
Great game! One item that effects your final battle with the Heart: When you exhaust status cards they go back to their decks and are not counted among the cards in your exhaust pile. That would have affected "Dead Branch" card draw and "Rampage" damage amount. I'm not sure whether you would have still made it past turn two as a result.
@@gwgumby I thought that was only true for dazes but you are correct. Just checked the exhaust keyword rules and they all go back once exhausted. Thanks for the tip/correction! Yeah maybe not actually, but currently I see a corpse and that's how it will stay 😂

Once you are at max block, you can no longer "gain block", so juggernaut can't activate.
I was really wanting you to play second wind there at the start of your turn and just nuke the guy lol
