This really hit me like a freight train today. Thank you for this.
As a Karaite Messianic Jew, just turning 53 years old, just becoming an "empty nester", I've wondered if ANYONE thought the way I thought. This really has given me something to learn from and share with others. I agree with about 95% of these teachings honestly. I've tried relationships over the past 40 years, including 2 marriages, and always felt like I could never find anyone that understood me. This all makes so much more sense now.
    Thank you again. Blessings.

I appreciate the teachings of this warrior. As it was stated, during turbulent times, it's all about survival & the strongest survive. If not, you'll become a victim. It would be nice to live in an utopian society, however, that's not my experience nor is it the experience of most men who are burdened with the responsibility of being the protectors of his family & his Community. I think it's awesome how this Samurai was able to reflect on his past, which he may have done things he wasn't "proud" of & offer wisdom through his teachings to guide warriors of the future to understand that with manhood comes responsibility. The responsibility to be strong, intelligent, resilient, confident & assertive without being arrogant, abusive, uncontrollable & unwilling to accept valid information. We've all made mistakes in life, as did he, but to learn/grow from them will allow one to create a path of redemption & progression.
