you dont need to have finished the story, you get treasury notse from just about every event and most missions. You should be turning them in at the gold machines for 400 every day. Th only thing you need to finish the story for is the 300/week extra from Smiley. also you will want to get both faction to ally if you want eveything that they can offer
bro i just got my secret service set, and its not optimal in legendary mods but dang i can feel the increase in resistances respect to civil engineer, now i am immortal and i can take lots of damage. also while rolling the pieces i got 4 unyielding parts, just one left for when i start my bloodied build

Pretty tilted at myself, I don't play religiously and had been saving up my bullion for the T-65 power armor. For some reason I thought the Secret Service armor was the power armor... went to my camp after buying everything and couldn't find it in the power armor bench. Found out later what had happened. Sucks but at least it's great armor which helps make it hurt less. Back to grinding I suppose!

Finished the main Story and had 5k Bullion saved up was about to purchase everything from the agent down there and boom bought everything including the helmet which does nothing lol from Minerva instead. Had enough saved up to still get the company Tea Machine and Military Cryo Freezer from Mortimus. Twas a good week....
Fortunately I secured all SS minus helmet, then farm tiles, and backpack mod, yet not enough days to grind the $B for helm, symptomatic, and warglaive ^^;
@@ivanklaric5341I’ll inform you the gauss minigun has a huge heavy downside. The 2mm EC’s it uses are heavy which is fine for the other gauss weapons as you don’t need to carry much but it’s pretty devastating for the gauss minigun because it blows through so much. The damage is great but I’d struggle to even call it an ok weapon. Plasma caster is definitely one of the best. If you’re using vats the plasma caster and Gatling gun are basically your only options as a heavy gunner. The Gatling gun is going to be ridiculously ammo efficient while you get more damage out of the plasma caster.
@@7Daemon I haven’t used it yet but it looks effective. The only issue I see is its competitor is the flamer. That is by far one of the best weapons in the game. Excellent damage, can cripple things pretty much instantly with one gun army and you can heal ally’s in events. I’d be interested to see how much ammo the cremator gets back as well.
Never really knew what Treasury Notes was used for until today. Traded in what i could to see if i could buy some from this vendor. ended up with 562gold and i need 563. LOL! Still have 160 Notes to trade in :D

@@Flanagan234he’s the secret service member in Vault 79. You need to finish the main quest (specifically the faction quests between the settlers and raiders), in order to access this NPC trader. Also you should learn about Gold Bullion, as that is a separate currency that NPC traders like him only accept.
Any suggestions for relatively new/casual players to quickly acquire gold? I'm at ~500 right now so I doubt I'll be able to grind up enough in a week but it's good advice for the future at least. Also as a former Destiny 2 player, this has big "Xur in under 1 Minute" vibes. Love those vids, its cool to see similar vids for different game vendors.
There isn’t really a better way. Everyone is equally limited to follow the set parameters given by Bethesda. Either you use the vending machine for 400 limit, or talk to the guy (Smiley) at the Wayward for a once a week purchase of bullion.
I’d advise caution with taking all the bullion for yourself with the ending quest line. You can sacrifice half the billion, as the rep is more worth it.
@moongoalie2410 Figured this would be the case. I ended up just getting the chemist backpack mod and accepting that I have a grind ahead. I intended on sacking half the gold for the rep to get the faction rewards anyway, so I got that covered.

grind the meat week events and get bank notes or whatever they are called and sell them to the gold machine 40 notes is 400 and you can only get 400 every 24hrs
Until the 4th, I would grind primal cuts public event which happens every 15 minutes. You get 2 treasury notes from it so that’s at least 8 notes per hours. Then there’s grahms meet cook which is once per hour and that takes about 1-2 minutes with a bunch of people helping and you get 3 notes from that. Just doing the events can net you 11 notes minimum per hour. I would also do any other public events that happen as you Can get anywhere from 2-6 treasury notes depending on the type of event and difficulty of it. Also, do daily quests for crater, foundation, refugee, and the photo opportunity daily for Davenport. Crater has 2, foundation has 1, refugees have 1, and Davenport has 1. Each give like 2-3 notes and you should be doing them in between public events. If you do all that, you should easily be getting the 400 bouillon limit per day. Also go for more notes if you can cause they never expire. Also, if you haven’t already, do the wastelanders quest line and choose to keep all the bullion at the end. It will lose you some rep, but net you 1,000 bouillon. Totally worth it in my opinion
You don’t. Everyone has the same set timer of getting gold. The guy who commented below you is merely telling you to do more events in order to have enough to buy the whole stock for that day. Max everyday is 400. There’s also Smiley, but he’s a once a week purchase. There’s no fast or exploit method in this game unfortunately. Everything is very slow and tedious.

Maybe get the chest piece. It'll provide the most resistance and if I'm not mistaken you be the most bang for your buck :)
