Dang I hate a missies this. You have influenced so many of my camera/gear choices over the last year or more. Love your style and attitude keep it up! I actually started using your “let’s talk about it” intro on my videos as of late.
Well, you were right about the S5iix. I just watched a video with the new firmware update, and the AF was still not as snappy and accurate as a Sony. So, the ZV-E1 could just well be my next camera after all. Given that I'm already running with the FX30 and I already have a couple FE Sony lenses, I'm at least prepared for it. Loved the stream today. It was very informative and funny as Gerald Undone stuck his head in for a bit.
haha - yes. Felt embarrassed I missed Gerald at first, but at least we got him in there!! Nice of him to drop by. Sony just has such great autofocus, it's so hard to get that level, Panasonic will keep getting better I'm sure - but it's not quite there yet, especially in tracking.

Did't know you did stand up before. I can see it, makes sense, you seem very comfortable talking to an audience, and you do that self deprecating/I'm the greatest thing. You do it well, keep up the good work, I enjoy your videos, even if I'm not interested in the product you're talking about.

Hi missed the live but loved watching the stream. You mentioned the Viltrox 27 1.2 for talking head and youtube, if you had to pick between that and the Sigma 16 1.4 for youtube AND general travel photography would you still pick the 16?
For general travel photography the Viltrox will be better unless you’re taking wide landscapes. The Viltrox will also be better for RUclips talking head if you have enough room. But the camera will have to be about 10 feet away whereas the sigma only has to be about 3-4 feet which a bit easier to lean over and operate the camera
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Woah thats quite far. What about getting the Viltrox 13 and 27 if I could only get 2 lenses? At least its a bit of a wider range than the 27 and 16 and I can use the 13 for vlogs and the talking head.
I just got a Sony zv e10. I’m looking to record talking head videos like your channel. What picture profiles do you recommend using? Thank you for all the tips here
Start with PPOFF. That looks pretty decent out of the box. Then after, I would always suggest the LeemingLUT using Cine 2 profile (costs about $40)

For RUclips talking head video - the Sony 15mm or the Sigma 16mm. For Vlogging, the Sony 11mm. For portraits, Viltrox 75mm 1.2

the ZV-E1 can't be beat as a travel video cam. But the A7CII is a better photocamera - especially with that EVF. Tough call - but both excellent

I find it odd that someone would be mad that you didn't go out of your way to interview female creators. It's a free country. They are welcome to go to NAB and have a girl power powwow. But the funny thing is, they'd get there and probably see that it's not really a space where women congregate. It's a giant AV club with price tags 😂.
