You’ve successfully trodden the fine line between a tasteful and innovative restomod, resulting in an amazing car. Sometimes the former suffers for the latter but, in this case, you’ve nailed it.
You did a GREAT job. I love the updating to more modern power as I recall my '75 X1/9 being woefully underpowered. Fiat should bring this beauty back with a slightly larger size and 250 HP.
I had a X1/9. Super fun car, if you were going downhill. 😂 "They light up the road super nicely." In other words, they are bright as hell, blind oncoming drivers, and should be illegal (if they aren't already). 😂
I don't know exactly. It is on coilovers from Vicks, and i set them as low as they would go and i liked the stance. I think it is about 2" in the rear and 2.5" in the front.

Sweet ride!!

nicely executed
Bayless does a great job
I agree... But they did not build this car. It is an owner built, home built, car.
Looks like a clean swap
Very nice.
How far down did you lower the car?

What size tires did you put on there?
185-60R 13
Wind up windows?
Where did you get the bumper ?
The bumpers both front and back are from a '67 or '68 Camaro, narrowed to fit.
Are you selling it?
Yes, I put it up for auction on bringing a trailer. bringatrailer.com/listing/1980-fiat-x1-9-12/
Lost me as soon as the pop up headlights were gone.
if you put ferrari badging on it, at least make it look legit. other than that, good build.
Thanks for the compliment,
