- www.interactive... - In this video, I talk about the 4 lobes of the Cerebrum: The frontal, parietal, occipital and temporal lobes. I also talk about the funfctions they are involved in. Enjoy!
Thank you I have ap psychology and this will help me in my unit exam!
how was your exam?
It was good! I passed! Thanks for the follow up!
@@manny7740 LMAO WHAT
It’s the same person but 7 years later lol I was replying to your follow up comment
Manny how’d u get my notification if ur on another account🤔
@Holybs111 "There is public knowledge everywhere in this world, and every bit of information helps in education the mind." 5 thumbs up!
The cortex is the gray matter, which surrounds the white matter (this is the wrinkly part of the brain). So the cerebral cortex is the outermost sheet of neural tissue of the cerebrum of the brain. Hope that helps.
No comments per se, other than that this is a road well traveled for our scholars! My prayer is that it is still available to our youth in this world as we struggley forward to educate, communicate, and mandate the future of our children and theirs! Thank you for caring and sharing understanding and enlightenment on how we function, as we listen and comprehend these things we become better human beings, that can teach and understand others! Thank you!
Short, sweet and to the point! Thanks!
This is so helpful for my psychology test I have coming up - thank you!!
Awesome to hear, Sophia 👍

so the four lobes are a part of the cerebrum???? thanks man...... this helped me a lot...... im teaching a new subject so alien to me, i had to restudy the anatomy of the brain..... thank God i saw this..... thanks
Brilliant. Simple and easy to remember
Yayyy. Glad to hear that, Tasha. Make sure to subscribe to the channel, because I have a lot more content like this coming to help you understand how the human body works.
quick easy to understand, Thanks!
Hi! Thank you for all the videos you post here. They are so helpful because of how simple you can make a subject seem. Classes in neurobiology and neuropsychology can be really dense, as you know! My doubt is: What about the Insula? It's also labeled as a lobe, isn't it?
I'm curious as to why many people leave out the Limbic and Insular lobes...
because the numeric factors of the frontal lobe had to be perpendicular on the right side of the brain. if not the left and right hemisphere have to be split so they can have an equal quadrilateral factor of the brain. you need to be really careful of the brain so it dosent co Aline withe the alias of the the ociptal lobe of the brain function. so be careful that it dosent get infected with zika or malaria because that could be lethal for your brain so please be careful when looking at different numeric factors of the rtx system stigmatic of the northern rain hemisphere.
Because people clarify the outer lobes as the main lobes i agree with you tho they really shouldn't leave those out
thank you. You made this very easy to learn.
I'm glad to hear that, Nurse Nelly 👍🏾. Make sure to subscribe for more.
@EskimoBoi1 Do a google search for "sulci in the brain" and you'll find a good wikipedia article that goes into all the sulci in the brain. Hope that helps!
Leslie
No. Cortex is the gray matter, which surrounds the white matter (this is the wrinkly part of the brain). It's a specific part of the cerebrum. They are not interchangeable.
Sir if occipital lobe control visual perception why do one feel ache on fore head region due to some eyesight defect?occipital lobe is behind
You make things soo simple thank you
You're welcome
Superb Video ..
From India
Thanks very much. :) Would like to know the names of the sulci between the different lobes!
@NeedsAHardOne Hi, unfortunately, Leslie won't be able to answer any inquiries and clarifications at the moment. He is very busy with a lot of work right now and is working on putting more videos to the site. So, please stay tuned for more Biology videos coming very soon!
Perfect! Thank you!

Is the insula lobe not part of the cerebrum?
thank you so much for your good information!
Is it safe to say that the cerebrum covers the frontal lobe?
We can see from a full image of the brain that it consist of two hemispheres. Now the image you used here in explaining the cerebrum is a side view image. My question is if the cerebrum is the largest part of the brain. is it the largest part from the side view only or does it extend to the other hemisphere? The use of this side view brain image doesnt give a clear understanding of the whole part of the brain which is called cerebrum.
All of ur idea was awesome, nice work , keep uploading please and thax u very much.
@TriviLizE You're welcome! Stay tuned for more :)
Are these the only functions of the lobes?
this is perfect. thank u
You're welcome
Can you please explain the comparative anatomy of the evolution of cerebrum in different vertebrates?

great video. easy to understand, thanks
Love your channel. Thank you!
Omg am watching it after 9 years..after it's release
Thank you. This was so very helpful.
What part of the brain controls side vision? I have Dandy Walker Malformation. Hypoplasia Cerebellum Agenais Corpus Collosum.
I guess occipital lobe Because it controls the whole process related with visual area and side vision is it's sub-part.
Nice vidao.. knowledge for cerebrum
Love your videos
Thanks you so much sir 👍👍 these part not included in ncert
Thnx it's more helpful
Temporary lobe involves in speech as well as frontal lobe? Then what will be the difference between these two lobe related to speech?
I'm taking a guess here but maybe the frontal lobe contains your first language, and the temporary lobe contains other languages you've learned? I'm not sure but I'm just taking a guess. When I was in class only one of the lobes contained speech, so maybe he put speech twice in by accident or I'm just missing something.
its not "temporary" but temporal lobe bro. Yes you have speech ares in frontal and temporal lobe. As in the frontal area you have the "BROCA area" responsible for expression/production of speech/language and then in the temporal lobe you have the "WERNICKE area" responsible for comprehension of language/speech, and its meaning! So if you have a seisure or a trauma caused by accident in the broca area you will understand what people are telling you but you cannot speak fluently or with sense. If you have the same example but in the Wernicke area, you can speak all the way, but cannot understand shit of what you ear! Frontal lobe is an execution area, temporal lobe is direct associated with audition, and memory.
Andr'e Campos Pinto Exactly. I was born with a hole in my temporal lobe so I have trouble remembering how to talk when I wake up from seizures. But that doesn't stop me from understanding what my family's saying and having an angry look on my face because they won't let me go to the bathroom. That and there's times where I can only say 1 word throughout the seizure without knowing it.
Very helpful. Thanks
This is good knowledge

“No! If he does not stop, We will take him by the naseyah (front of the head), a lying, sinful naseyah (front of the head)!” (Quran 96:15-16)
"that's why if you get hit in the back of your head, you see starts" haha ... somebody have been watching too much Cartoons.
Boxers and fighters sometimes report seeing stars when being hit in the head.
It was a great video could’ve been more helpful by telling us what is a lobe
That's a great point. Sometimes we assume people know what we're talking about when we're so familiar with specific terms. A lobe is basically a section of the brain. Some textbooks will describe them as zones.
Here is the definition of Brazen so you don't have to look it up.
"brazen: faced with defiance and impudense.
Both the script and the verse cover what is considered sin from the forehead.
A definition of Light is Public Knowledge.
Is it true that Muhammad recieved the words of the Quran from the Light According to the teachings was Muhammad given the Quran from the Light?
There is public knowledge everywhere in this world, and every bit of information helps in education the mind.
Ok but where’s the fun really?
I wish my frontal lobes were larger
The only reason people are here is because of a test just about to happen.
@James Van Pelt my school thinks it is okay to have tests at school still.
nice vidio
Nice video
the 1st 25 sec are time paas....plz try 2 cut this part.....thanks
how come yo videos make mo sense than books?
It's because you're illiterate.
occupytosavetheworld I M NOT ILLITERATE U SON OF A FUCKEN BITCH
soneelita You're making a pretty good case, for someone who isn't illiterate.
occupytosavetheworld Not illiterate. Just someone whose English isn't her first language. I assume you couldn't tell, but even if that's the case, it wouldn't justify your aggressive remark. We are all strangers here, clearly interested in learning something (at least that's the purpose of this channel). It's pretty ironic that you carry the message "occupy to save the world". Treating people with respect would be a great way to start.
Giovanna Rozza You realize the comment you're replying to is over a year old, right?
Respect is fine and dandy, but so is thinking if what you're about to say/post is relevant AT ALL before you actually say/post it.
Cool
Brain largest part
Actually I could be the test subject with a brain stem injury and deformation 41 years later.
Why is this verse & script alike, if the "verse" is recently said to B discovered?
Quran 96:15-16
No! If he does not stop, We will take him by the naseyah (front of the head), a lying, sinful naseyah (front of the head)!
Ezekiel 3:7-8
7 But the House of Israel will refuse to listen to you, for they refuse to listen to Me; for the whole House of Israel are "brazen of forehead" and stubborn of heart. 8 But I will make your face as hard as theirs, and your "forehead as brazen" as theirs.
It's not the same at all. The verse in the Quran specifically describes the naseyah as sinful and lying. While your verse is more of a saying that talks about the arrogance (that is usually linked with the head) and the stubbornness (that is usually linked with the heart). Why would the Quran say "we will take him by the naseyah" instead of "we will take him by the head/throat", and then continue to describe the naseyah as a lying AND sinful naseyah?
Here is another verse in the Quran that talks about the naseyah : There is not a moving creature, but He hath grasp of its fore-lock. (11:56) The frontal interlope plays a role in guiding and controlling the behavior of animals and humans. So, clearly different from your verse.
