- I was told I missed the secret room during my run. Then I was told where it was :O
The room isn't very big, but it contains an interesting enemy and some goodies like meat, so it's nice to know about it.
The enemy isn't supposed to disappear before dying. It's a recording glitch.
My brother and I were playing this in the dead of night when it had come out, and when we stumbled upon this room we were happily surprised. But when my brother accidentally killed the dog and the old man rushed over and wept, he dropped the controller in shock and we both sat there with our mouths open. Like right in the feels there, Nintendo. Thanks a ton
I remember this game when it first came out too. This game still holds up today and will for the rest of time. I got three carts of this game too.
0:54 holy water toss of, "God dammit, I lost my level III boomerang."
No worries, the secret before Dracula will give right back to ya
30 years and I never knew this. Must have played this game 1000 times. Wow
to those sad about the old man:
1: It's dracula's castle
2: They're most likely ghosts, so you're putting them out of their misery
3: The heck were they doing down there anyways?
4: They were trapped!
Guess one of the developers had a dog who died recently so he decided to make an easter egg in memory of his beloved pet.
that's my opinion too
I find it amazing that this game has more emotional depth than most games today.
That's true. Nowadays games simply consist of "finish this quest, get your reward, and move on (and rinse and repeat)..."
@@omerd5147 You must be playing some awful games in that case
@@Zansekai well I've been playing World of Warcraft and it was the (shallow) game that gave me the impression that it's just a finish-your-quest and then get-your-reward one (and rinse and repeat). Some found it amazing but I was unimpressed by it. Can you recommend any other deeper games?
I had no idea the dead mate and his loyal pooch originated in this game.
This is always a very tough choice for me:
do I let the man and dog be alone, or do I kill the dog so that I can grab the cool stuff on that floor?
I usually try to dodge the dog, and then I am like "fuck it" and hurry out of there, lol.
omfg....40 years AND I NEVER ATTACKED THE DAMN FLOOR...AAAAAAAOO AHHAHAHAHA WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!...........wow...poor doggy btw...
Aww... That was kinda sad actually. Dude was happy down there walking back and forth with his dead doggie and you super killed him.
They were both ghosts
@@vladimirfruitin3118 but they were happy ghosts
i always wondered if there was more to this secret with the man and dog
but have never found any answer
Buen detalle por parte de los programadores... "un anciano velador, con su mejor amigo"
castelvania miror of fate easter egg
I never knew about this. And I'm not sure why.
Holy shit this game is almost 30 years old
I know, damn.
i always thought that was the old librarian from sotn. i know he dies here, but maybe the castle brought him back
Recorded at 24-30 fps I guess.
For some reason the block isn't breaking for me?
What is that instrument? "Tun tun thumb thumb"
i did it once, but i cant do it again?
The secret rooms become inaccessible after you have already visited them.
