Visit my new music channel! / @stringbard Standard VS Natural VS Cinelike D Hack All shot at 4k 24p, 50 shutter, 200 ISO (except for the indoor clip at 1600 ISO)
I think standard looked the best. Which is good for me because I don't want to spend time grading. If it had a real LOG file I would probably bother but that cineD just doesn't seem to have any more detail than regular modes, which is probably why they don't include it.
Hi guys! Hope you find this useful. I've been told hundred times that I shouldn't grade an 8 bit codec, but I didn't find much color artifacts/banding while doing it. Maybe it's because the 100mbps Panasonic codec is pretty strong (I remember doing it with a Canon video and getting bad results). In the last example I also tried to match the Cinelike D skin tones to the Natural profile, as I heard online that it's very difficult.
JohnnyBeFilms Because for what I do (landscape) I prefer Standard, It render the sky better in my opinion. If you film people I recommend Natural, because of the better skin tones. But again, it's all about personal preference
I really like your Cinelike D grading!.. I'm not so skillful and I haven't been able so far to remove the ugly grey khaki layer from my footage completely. As for me, the Standard profile seems to be the best compromize between authenticity of colors and pleasing look but it is too harsh by default settings... I still haven't found the ideal settings... Could you please reveal what are your favourite settings by using the Standard profile (for landscape and street/travel shooting)?
Grampasso Films decent grading you did there. :) I would like to ask when I installed the hack for Cinelike D and V using C Mode I can't manually control my shutter speed and ISO since the exposure mode in C Mode is disabled. Can you please help me with this. Thank you :)
Hello there. Amazing video. Question: What is the meaning of H/S in the 1:06 shot? Because my camera have only 4 settings to change (Asumed that those are (-5, -5, -2, -3) ) Thanks!
Synthexx I mean that I applied a color correction (to give a certain look) according to my taste, because to me is easier to start from a flat image like Cinelike D. I use Final Cut built in corrector to grade, I'm doing this to train myself because I want to improve colors of my videos. Thank you anyway, I'm glad you like it!
ah ok cool! I just got cinelike D on my gx80. Going on a trip to Asia in August but I don´t know if I should film everything with it on or do correction on the original instead. What do you think?
great test and great shots! But, i noticed a little gain on the dynamic range using the Cinelike D + How many stops do you think you gained with this settings...? maybe on the vectorscopes you can see...

Hey - and why did you adjust the STANDARD (-5, -5 etc.) and not the NTURAL one? It is better to use the STANDARD over NATURAL?

Thanks, I didn't know that. Thought NATURAL is always THE best.
Justo estaba buscando esto. Gracias
Well done. What lenses did you use?

The video is so cool. What did the lens use?
King archer The kit lens: Panasonic 12-32.
Beautiful shots 😎 would love to see some side by side comparisons of your graded Cinelike D footage vs natural and standard modes. Subbed btw! 👍
Ben Aqua Thank you. I think I'll do more tests like this. Doing proper color correction takes time but I enjoy it

@@kevindavidestigoy5245 switch your mode to the movie mode first, change it to cine d then save it on the C1 C2 or C3
-5 contrast introduces a lot of noise in the footage. I think it looks better to keep it at -1 or 0. NR however can be tweeked down completely.
Sooovann I know.. but I prefer the look
Great vid.
can you show your setting on graded cinelike-d mode?

Why I love all Cinelike D without grading?
because its showed you all tonal contrast
what do you mean or how can I get the Cinelike D+ graded? It looks awesome!

Synthexx If it's the first time using this camera, I suggest Standard (with -2 contrast, -2 saturation) or Cinelike D as it is
Bellissimo test, complimenti!
cool video
Hmmmm do you recomend cinelikeD + when i apply color lutt in premiere?
Alejandro Ortega Yes if you have time
Is this the hacked cinelike d? I added it to my camera but cant dial in custom contrast, sat., NR, or sharpening.. his you do it?
That is strange! I could with mine
Sarai in automatico probabilmente
@@GrampassoFilms la C sulla ghiera intendo
@@FrancescoSignorini11 sì una volta messa sulla c, devi anche mettere la modalità M dal menu (non dalla ghiera), o almeno così mi ricordo.
great test and great shots!
But, i noticed a little gain on the dynamic range using the Cinelike D +
How many stops do you think you gained with this settings...? maybe on the vectorscopes you can see...
Edgard Paiva I think it's a 2/3 of a stop gain with Cinelike D
I think you might have swapped natural and standard
Does the GX80 has 1440p or 2.7 k? pls tell me didnt found it anywhere
Freeze Gamer No... 4k, 1080p, 720p and 480p
Grampasso Films okay thanks anyway
whats the difference between standard and natural ?
andrewm001 I think natural is more flat, but there's no much difference
waaaah
