I love your videos, I prefer inspirational ideas. I too bought a laminater last year & ran out of ideas shortly after. Thankyou for renewing my crafting energy. Watching from Australia 🇦🇺
Irresistible eye candy products! Dragana, you should publish a book. Many books, in fact. You are a living catalogue of ideas for amazing useful cuties. And selling your own artwork laminated is great idea. Laminating just one side of fabric and napkin is the most astonishing for me (of all other awesome curiosities in your today’s video). For this reason alone I should forget about my firm (!) resolution not buy another toy for my craft room 😊. A must have, after this video - for sure. Other delightful surprises for preserving all sort of fragile stuff that I will certainly remember and try to make: doodles, eco prints, lantern with a picture of fire behind it, bookplates, roots, seeds, feathers (!), fabric and lace, threads and fibers (!), postage stamps, photos, money (!), two-sided images from magazines and catalogues, napkins… so different, so cool, thanks!
I’m so glad that you liked the video! Oh, I had a lot of fun creating all of this, and I just wanted to keep going. Luckily, I ran out of laminating pouches, otherwise I’d laminate everything in my sight 😀. It’s a useful tool. In regards to the book, I don’t think I have the patience for that at the moment but who knows what the future holds! Thank you so much for your kind comment. I appreciate it ❤️❤️❤️
What a happy coincidence. A few weeks ago there was a laminator on sale, including a foil pouch... I didn't have any specific ideas about what I wanted to do with it for my journals, but I bought it so I could take a closer look at it at some point. And today your post comes along as if I had called it. Wow. You can do great things with it. Thank you for being an inspiration to me.🙏 I'll get started right away.💁
Love your ideas, very inspirational! If you are able to find matte laminating pouches, even better! I have laminated napkins and tissue paper with matte pouches and it makes them like tissue paper. Looking forward to trying some of these great ideas. Thanks for sharing❤
Thank you so much! I was looking for matte laminating pouches before I filmed the video and couldn’t find any in the local shops. I think I need to order some online. I would definitely prefer the less shiny look 😊❤️
All the results catch me. They are just amazing! The one I love the most are the banknotes. It has a bit of memories for everlasting 🧡🧡🧡 the pink pouch I also love 🙂
Thank you so much Steffi! I had a lot of fun creating everything I’ve shown in the videos. I also think it’s a good way to protect the bank notes with laminator❤️❤️❤️
I don't use my laminator enough! It is Winter in Australia and if we get a fine day over the weekend I will go for a walk and see what I can find, to make into pieces for my journal. Tour dangles are so cute :) Thanks for the inspiration x
You’re very welcome! Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for watching. I loved Australian winter when I lived there. It was never too cold and it felt like a long spring to me. 😊
Awesome ideas! 💜💜💜 My son bought me a laminator for Christmas two years ago, I haven't tried it yet... but do plan to, lol. 🥴 I was wondering the other day if I could put the heavy cereal bag liners through the laminator, but decided against it. Instead I put them in between parchment paper and used my iron, using some leaves, fabric and napkin, it worked, the plastic liner from crackers work at a lower iron temp, as they're much thinner plastic. It isn't as stiff as the laminator sheets, and a little wrinkly, matte finish, I like it. Am sensitive to smells but didn't notice any. So a thought if you don't have a laminator...🤔 I may post some pictures on your Facebook page if that's ok??
Thank you so much for watching and for the great suggestions! I’m sure everyone in the group would love to know how to do this without laminating machine. Please do post ❤️😊
Wonderful ideas. Thank you! I've used my laminator for charms and dangles but wasn't creative enough to think of the other options. Love, love, love videos that give me new direction with my creativity.
Oh my goodness! Such great ideas! Thank you. Just wanted to share with you -- there is a product called "self-adhesive laminating sheets". They are not quite as easy to work with like the laminator but they actually stick/glue to paper all the way and not just on the sides. You can use it on just one side of a paper too. I think I might try the glitter on one to see how it does!
BOOM!!! My head just exploded! I love every idea and especially where you have used the die cuts to cut out shapes around the lamination and those snowflake tags - Oh yes!! I have some ideas of a video on tips and tricks with the laminator. I will contact you on Facebook as this comment keeps disappearing on me when I try to submit it (something to do with my fumbly fingers)
Thank you so much! I’ll do my best to demonstrate as many as I can. Meanwhile, I have a few videos on making specimens with plants and faux leaves : ruclips.net/video/6Ke1EztLd1w/видео.htmlsi=3GndXlLJUMH1vXaX ruclips.net/video/XhNznGT-6Gs/видео.htmlsi=-i3nxjpd00fbCzb8
Hi Dragana, more fabulous ideas for the laminator. I hardly use mine, however you have given us so much inspiration. I am going to start today! Love all of your videos. Also I am watching from Western Australia. Thanks again. Kind regards Dianne x
I really enjoyed your video on laminating. Would like to see you demonstrate the procedures such as the frame around your specimen cards and the tiny charm of butterflies and flowers with both sides, they almost looked like enamel. Wonderful ideas😊 annie from Florida

I Love your videos with your inspiration and ideas, tips and tricks Dragana ❤❤ I always look forward to see what you are going to share! Like you I love to make bags, tags etc myself, but feel lost about new ideas! You definitely fill up what I wish to create.
Great ideas. I love laminating stuff, but I'm not too fond of the gloss shine apart from on certain projects so I often coat them in clear gesso or matt medium or use matt laminating pouches. TFS ☺
Binge watching from Canada! Loving your videos I have done the single sided laminating with paper but never with fabric will have to try that brilliant. Thanks for sharing all your awesome ideas
I just finished watching this amazing and informative video. Dragana covers just about everything there is to laminate. Honestly, who knew how versatile a laminator is. You have to try some of these ideas. She's a great teacher. Dragana thank you for taking your valuable to make this video.
I love all your videos. Also watching from Australia ❤ I had a laminator but when I moved I don’t know where it is. Will have to hunt for it during this holidays 😊
I know I'm always harping on clear contact paper, but I don't own a laminating machine. I find contact paper can be used in just about every circumstance as lamination, it's just not as stiff or shiny. Thanks so much for the ideas which I'm sure to try with my method.
You’re very welcome! I haven’t tried the technique with contact paper but it sounds very interesting. I’m sure other people might find this information very helpful. I hope you consider sharing some of the tips and examples in our Facebook group. 😊❤️
I LOVE your ideas. I watch these videos all the time, and always see something I missed, something new to try. I like how you put your charms on scrapbook paper. How do you store those? In a basket? Sorry, just curious. Thanks for all your videos, so creative!
You are so welcome! Glad you enjoy my videos. I like to attach the charms to a piece of card stock as you’ve seen in the video. I used a recycled box and added some dividers inside so that I can place these cards with charms vertically. The box fits maybe 10 of these cards with different charms. I hope this makes sense. Perhaps I can put a photo of this in the Facebook group, you are welcome to join if you haven’t already 😊❤️
Great video, I’ve been wanting to get a laminator, now I really want to get one. When you laminate flowers and leaves are they fresh or dried? Thank you for sharing.
You’re very welcome! Glad you enjoyed the video. Plants, leaves and flowers have to be completely dry before laminating, otherwise they would turn into unrecognizable mess and become moldy 😊❤️
I love all your videos. Your are so creative. I found this video just in time. I just bought myself a laminator for journaling, but you have taken it to a whole new level for me! I am amazed how many ways we can use the laminator! I do have one question, can you photocopy laminated items? Because the lamination process makes the results shiny, I am not sure if I can then make photocopies of some of the creations. Have you tried photocopying them? Keep the videos coming, you are teaching me so much. Hugs from Alberta, Canada.
Thank you so much! Glad you found it helpful. I’m not sure about photocopying laminated papers. I haven’t tried. If you do, let me know if it’s successful 😊❤️
I just tried photocopying laminated sheets and it did work just fine. It did not reflect the shinyness of the lamination. Enjoying your videos, keep up the great job your doing!

It happened to me a few times when I tried to laminate some plants that were too thick. I guess not all machines are the same. Trial and error is the answer. One has to find the limits of the machine they use 😊❤️
Nice examples, but one or two could do with a proper tutorial as your explanations were rushed and I really didn’t have a clue what you meant. Example, how do you get the material to be just laminated on one side? And surely the material would just fall off if it wasn’t sealed on both sides? I love the map on vellum idea.
Thank you! You make a good point. I’ll keep that in mind and I’ll try to do a tutorial on the topic. Laminating sheets are covered in glue on the inside and when heated up, this glue activates and glues to the surface inside, paper or fabric. The only time it didn’t work for me was when I used waxed paper or baking paper. Those had to stay trapped inside 2 laminating sheets 😊
@@Saacibo I used to make dividers for my ring binders and found when I hole punched them that the laminating sheets would often come unstuck because the seal was broken. Hence my confusion. I will have to have a go with fabric, see if that sticks better.
I guess you’re right, this whole video was about plastic, so it may seem like it. However, I would probably use only 1 or 2 of these elements per journal 😊

Only if you cut too close to the edge where the air is trapped. 😊❤️
