Yeah it's still an upgrade so who cares, Linus is so spoiled man. I was really damn happy when I got a relative's old 256MB video card and an upgrade to 768MB RAM which finally let me play DirectX9 games.
Well its not the first time a "linus visits his staff's houses" series ended that way. Doesn't help that people taking things from the office to there homes is something that does happen quite a bit at LMG. But at least Linus doesn't just fire them over it like some big companies would do.

Edzel is probably my favorite Linus Tech Tips employee. Partly because he's been there the longest and I have fond memories of those early Linus Tech Tips videos, but he's also pretty eccentric and interesting.

I love this series so much and would watch Linus do a million of these. Going to employees houses and criticizing them for their bad habits which include stealing from work. I also like the humanizing tone where Linus gives us a view of the people working behind the camera. You see their homes, wives/SO which can be very invasive and be a little scary to open that up to the public. I appreciate everyone is getting home upgrades for doing such great work behind the scenes

Ok, this is my favorite upgrade video. It checks all the boxes: ✅stuff stolen from the office ✅Linus roasting employees over an open fire ✅a gpu that should've been broken but isn't ✅ Linus almost leveling an ikea desk ✅ stealing from children and crushing their dreams What more can you ask for?
Linus is like that cool manager that makes sure you're eating and will let you take stuff home. "I will volunteer to come and spend a weekend helping you with this." Even though he digs on his employees, he actually really cares.
With this series, it has become more and more clear that Dennis has been somewhat of a scapegoat for some other staff members for the blame of "borrowed" LMG equipment.
The "tech tip" he said where you don't have to do things because others will do it for you when they are annoyed hits home to me...I always clean a few of my friends houses because they never do and it just annoys me looking at all their clutter and garbage.
I'd get them to clean it if they want to. Try teaching them to not throw things on the ground and have places for them. One item at a time ask them if its trash or where they want to put it. Get them to physically throw it out and organise it themselves. Teach them how to use a garbage can and how to throw garbage out properly. Tell them how much less work it can be to keep it clean and how much of an enjoyable space it can be for them/you and other people when organized and clean.

My wife and I just did a couples upgrade recently to almost the same PC but in our case they live in seperate rooms as I work from home so our house ends up with 4 rooms outside of the Kitchen Living room Dining room. One is our bedroom, One is My office, One is our sons bedroom and one is a Guest bedroom that will also become a craft/PC gaming/Office sort of room for my wife at some point now that it looks more likely that our son will be an only child. Currently her PC setup is in the living room
Yup. This is my house. All sorts of stuff because I fix/upgrade things myself...computers, plumbing, electrical...everything. You end up accumulating lots of tools and "stuff".

Excellent. What a strange video! Those gunstocks really are game changers for anyone playing a mil-sim style game. You have to get the muscle memory of detach and reattach, and then it's easy peasy.
Playseat is the most comfortable folding driving rig on the market - have never had any comfort issues no matter how long i play for. Great buy regardless of weather you play driving sims or not.
I'd love if Linus started another channel that was LMG professionally cleaning people's houses. Even going so far as to steam clean the carpets and upholstery. Then organizing all of their things on shelves in the storage rooms and doing an insurance like inventory for them haha.
I mean it's not dirty at all. It just seems they have too much stuff for their size of home. It needs to be decluttered and edzel needs to get right of stuff.
I fucking love that he uses compound on the mouse pad to sharpen knives, I've never seen a mouse pad don't get me wrong that was rigid enough for blade work but I have used them with a lot of modifying factors, especially taping with double side sandpaper.. it's a pretty awesome strop situation and polishing, still not as good as leather but sometimes it's easier to get larger sizes, either way it's still cool I would be curious to see if you can pull it off with how a Squishies the mouse pads are.. regardless though, of all the houses that we've been to with this upgrade thing, this is definitely the coolest house.
Seeing this considered cluttered and weird does put my own apartment into perspective. I think the component drawer tower and the sixties 8GHz sweep oscillator in the living room are the most visible one's.
100% I have much less space to work with than this. If I worked for LTT, I'd actually have to debate whether or not I'd accept the free tech upgrade, just because of how atrocious my room is lol. The carcasses of ADHD fueled temporary enthusiasm and impulsivity litter every available surface, drawer, shelf, closet, etc. Also, I've definitely once found out it was my birthday because I got a happy birthday text lol. I remember the date, but I can't be bothered to know what the current date actually is day to day.

I have much less space to work with than this. If I worked for LTT, I'd actually have to debate whether or not I'd accept the free tech upgrade, just because of how atrocious my room is lol. The carcasses of ADHD fueled temporary enthusiasm and impulsivity litter every available surface, drawer, shelf, closet, etc. Also, I've definitely once found out it was my birthday because I got a happy birthday text lol. I remember the date, but I can't be bothered to know what the current date actually is day to day.
