    That's the air fryer I want! You are saving so much money with your meal prepping and paying attention to what is being eaten is smart. No food waste!

    Love the no waste meal plan! Sunday, I used up the ends of 4 bread loaves (I was saving it in the fridge), the last of a bag of frozen sausage patties, 1.5 cups of blueberries & 6 eggs that were aging. It was a delicious brunch that used up so much stuff that would've been wasted! 4:56

    I made chicken enchiladas with salad and fruit, chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli, vegetables beef soup (we eat everything twice). Yogurt, eggs, cottage cheese, toast for breakfast. Salad, ham/turkey sandwiches, fruit, soup, cheese for lunches.
    Celery/peanut butter, cheese stick, iced coffee smoothie for snacks. Mom has popsicles.

    Money Mama if your family doesn't want that berry bread I'll eat it! 😋
    I'm working double shifts this week(yeah!) so I did some meal prep. I made cheese enchiladas, a bunch of beans, hamburgers, & a chicken breast. I eat a pb&j sandwich everyday for my work snack so I made about 10 & put them in the freezer. I cut up cereal bags & put a piece in between sandwiches so they don't stick together. I also left them in the same bread bag they came in & they're fine! Lol, i was worried they might be soggy.
    Hey guys I just wanna say Thank Y'all for the money saving tips. I managed to avoid dipping in my savings account & now that I'm working full time again, I hope to add more to my emergency fund. 😄

    Just to let you know some stores recently announced a recall on their vegetables. There is also a recall on some dips. A popular meat brand has a recall on their lunch meat and some of their package foods. Please google for additional information.

    For this week's meals, I made a big pot of shrimp and broccoli fettucinni alfredo, which is served with garlic bread, and a frozen bag of honey chicken (on sale), with jasmine rice and green beans for sides. It's REALLY hot here, so we've been having grapes for snacking, and when they're gone, I'll peel and cut up the bag of oranges and toss them in coconut flakes, to make ambrosia. Fruits are so cool, juicy and refreshing in this heat, plus we eat fruit for breakfast, snacks and sometimes even dessert.

    Hi good to see someone else that likes potatoes . I think white potatoes get a bad rap . They are nutritious some quick research- One medium-sized white potato has about 110 calories, 26 grams of carbohydrate, 3 grams of both fiber and 3 grams of protein, and is also free of fat and cholesterol. As for vitamins and minerals, white potatoes are stuffed with vitamins C, B6, niacin, folate, potassium, manganese, magnesium and phosphorus . All that and they taste yummy too. Thanks for sharing.

      I love potatoes. However I do remember some words of wisdom I read years ago. “It’s not the potatoes that get you in trouble with too many calories but what we add to them and how we prepare them: oils, butter, sour-cream, cheese, gravy……those with certain medical conditions have to follow their diet and if necessary eliminate potatoes as advised by a nutritionist.
      Has anyone ever tried “salt potatoes”? Delicious.

    Everything looks delicious. But you made fruit bread, pie, ice cream and cookies in addition to having that huge birthday cake? Wow, that's a lot of sweets for one week. We have nothing against sweets, (my children have a sweet tooth) but we only make a dessert a couple of times a month. I rarely eat them anymore because the sugar gives me a headache and keeps me awake at night. Looks yummy, but I don't know how anyone could eat that much and not be sick!

    • @jennyeagan1840
      @jennyeagan1840 Месяц назад +1

      If one looks at similar products, such as meals and desserts, it a restaurant or bakery, the calories and added fat and sugar are three times higher than if made at home. If pre prepped or made to go, from a store, the calories, added fat and sugar are about half compared to made at home. Made at home ensures less fat, sugar and chemicals to preserve the food being marketed. Making at home, one can decide on things like budget friendly, cheap butter, eggs and milk to the more expensive organic. There is a bit of energy calories, excercise going towards the shopping of ingredients, making the recipe and clean up. Making at home tends to be less expensive.

    • @penelopeprimrose90
      @penelopeprimrose90 Месяц назад +2

      @@jennyeagan1840 Yes, eating at home is usually healthier than eating out if cooking is done from scratch with quality ingredients. Processed foods used in home cooking can be just as unhealthy as a restaurant or fast food meal. But even if something is made from scratch, we still have to watch how much we are consuming. Cookies made at home are still cookies!
