Well wide open new construction will always move faster that retrofitting in more confined location in an operational park. Think original disneyland construction.
A) The dueling coaster isn't part of How to Train Your Dragon. HTTYD has a separate coaster which was also in the pictures you were showing. B) The "dome" building is a carousel. C) The Donkey Kong coaster is going to work by having a real sideways track that the car is connected to, but you look like you're driving over fake horizontal track that's crumbling. The land will also have the Mario ride you're used to, plus the Yoshi omnimover that's also seen in the original Japan version of the land.
I've never been so interested in the construction of restrooms before in my life. I'm kind of baffled at why the treehouse is taking so long. It closed in September of '21. That means it's been nearly 2 years already.
My question is why do you need to it open so quickly? It's a walkthrough attraction that is mostly enjoyed by locals, people visiting Disneyland aren't exactly bothered by missing it. I think them taking their time and making it as detailed of a walkthrough experience as possible is the absolute correct move
I think when it first “closed” it was just meant for a normal Tarzan’s Treehouse refurb and then a couple months in they obviously decided to go in a different direction. But yes, it’s absolutely ridiculous that a walkthrough treehouse attraction has taken this long to open and it doesn’t get talked about enough. Welcome to Disney management in 2023.

I've been following the Universal Epic Universe park closely and just a few clarifications on it from your commentary: The Super Nintendo World area will be mostly the same as Japan (with the Yoshi ride being the addition over California, like Japan) plus the Donkey Kong Country land which will be the first of its kind and will be coming to Japan as well as an expansion. But no Nintendo World at the other Orlando Universal Parks. It will all be at Epic. Also, the Harry Potter area is going to be the Ministry of Magic which can encompass all eras of Harry Potter with some sort of elevator attractions that takes you through the building. The How To Train Your Dragon area will also have a large stage show with animatronic dragons (adding that for fun). Another reader hit some of the other points... But I remember back in the day how you just hated this name, but I think, in the end, it's going to earn the 'epic' part. My family cannot wait to visit and are far more excited by this park than any of the additions going into WDW like Journey of Water. Thanks for the great update, David!!!
I was there at Disneyland this past weekend and the foot traffic gets so bad because of the bathroom construction. Around the time of the fireworks on Saturday they made both Adventureland and Frontierland one way streets. There was also the time on Friday when I was near the treehouse and I needed to use the restroom. I knew Adventureland's were closed and I remembered the ones by Rancho being super busy so I went to the ones in New Orleans Square (where we just walked from.) Those were closed too for some reason so I had to go all the way to Hungry Bear and even those were busy too.
The yellow coaster is actually in the hub and is themed to the solar system . There is a much smaller family friendly coaster in the how to train your dragon land but that's ok.. At least you are excited. 😂
The area covered in plastic at the future site of Tiana's Bayou Adventure looks to be approximately where the water tower will be, judging by the concept art and model. My guess is that they are preparing the foundation of the water tower. Also, the Fantasy Springs expansion of Tokyo DisneySea has a magnificent in-park hotel, very similar to the Grand Helios Hotel being built at Epic Universe.
Epic Universe’s 700+ acres has accomplished so much, in such a short amount of time, while Epcot’s ‘Journey…’ renovation, Disney Springs’ Summer House on the Lake, the Adventureland/Swiss treehouse, the Adventureland restrooms, all measured in yardage, does not seem to be in much of a hurry? Odd comparing the construction progress, of the two resorts.
They've done it by making life miserable for the thousands of people living in the neighborhood Universal decided to drop a theme park into. It's just going to keep getting worse, and there's nowhere nearby and affordable to move to.

From the footage it looks like the bathroom of Adventure land walls were extended to allow that bucket loader that we could see through the knot hole to navigate around without bumping into things.
New details for Tree House came out not long ago & says that there are TWO sons, one into plants & the others into wildlife. They are both sharing one room.
All of the scrim and scaffolding seemingly all the time is SO weird to me. Growing up and into high school/early college for me (I graduated in 2011 for reference), it was not like this all the time. They would maybe do some in January-March before spring break, but they would usually knock it all out pretty quickly. And they didn’t close down a bunch of stuff at once. It all seems so odd to me now! There doesn’t seem to be a time to go now when things aren’t being refurbed.
For the Donkey Kong cart ride, the broken track is a false track and there's a second track underneath that actually moves the ride. It's a pretty cool concept.
I stayed park side at Pixar Pier Hotel(Paradise Pier at the time) when the Electrical Parade was running at DCA(before Bugs Land was a thing) and you could see it from my room, it was really cool. Also if they are still there if you go up the tower there where windows at the end of every hall that you could stand in and look at Disneyland and see the firworks over the castle, it might be a good place to view DTD construction while the monorail is down. ::EDIT:: you can see the windows I am talking about if you look at the shot of the Best Buy at 19:41 those windows on the side of the tower are in the Hallway not in any rooms. In-fact I think the pictures of DTD where from those windows.

The monsters land will be called Dark Universe and HTTYD will be called Isle of Berk. The harry potter land will be themed to fantastic beasts but for the ride guests will use the floo network in the queue to travel back to london and the ride will take place with the main characters of harry potter.
It’s crazy that a whole theme park will probably take a shorter amount of time to open than the e ticket avenger campus ride. They’ve been showing concept arts for years but no construction has been done
Aloha Dave..thanks again for a great update... The Adventureland Bathrooms....I wondered if thry were going to need more room for that repair. I intalled and certified backfloe preventors for a living when I lived in Cali. and that was what was behind all that themeing infront. From the pictures you put up it was a very old backflow device like from the 50's or even 50's and those no longer meet back flow specifications so they are going to need more space to put the new one in..where ever they do that...I am thinking they are looking to cover it with themeing that is closer to the bridge....they cna put in on that is verticle or horizontal it really depends on what the water is for. It seems to be a 5" main which is large for heavy water demand..like a bathrooms or even follow on to the restrants following on.. just my thoghts on that..once they get it installed and operational it will take a bit to get it all done corectly.

On micechat's website they show the concrete removal at the Adventureland restrooms. They also mentioned that a water pipe burst at Storytellers cafe and half the resturant dining room was dug up. Sounds like Disneyland has infrastructure problems like LA does.

On the topic of Epic Universe having a hotel on the edge of park property... wouldn't the Grand Californian Hotel count for DCA? Neither that Epic Universe hotel or the Disneyland (Paris) Hotel are actually inside the respective parks, just right up on the edge.

We were at the park a few days ago in the evening and the lights at Tiana's Palace were on. It looked fantastic at night!

Universal gets rides up and going within just over a year they’re amazing. Disney is so slow and crap

At least half that time, they most likely weren't sure what they were doing or going to do with the treehouse.
At 5:25 you can see a section of the completed piping up in the tree. It leads to the pulley system that will moving water up and down.

I think there fixing the sewage pipes cause i remember walking through that area over the years it had a weird smell
For the DD RC there is two tracks one is hide(true track) and one show track.
