I haven't done that run for a while. Circuit Flat Bridge is on the original Old North Road. The stonework is beautiful and has stood the test of time well. Further down the road there's a locked gate as it was closed to 4wds back in 1992. I did the whole road twice in my 81 Subaru wagon before it closed. It used to be a popular run back in the day! The Mrs and I drove our Gemini up from Sydney in the early-mid 80's and bought petrol at the old store at Mogo. It was pumped up into a glass vessel then gravity feed to the car. It's long gone now but it was an interesting historical experience. I've camped at the camping area opposite the St Albans Tavern a few years ago, great spot for an overnight stay. Wheeny Creek is out that way near Colo and has some good tracks from what I've heard too. All in all the run is great for either a day trip or a weekend. Thanks for sharing your adventure!
You went North - South by the looks of this. I normally start at Wisemans Ferry & heard South - North, beautiful drive that's for sure. You didn't film any of the drive from Wisemans to Lower Portland though, I love that section of road but it is pretty tight and windy so not the easiest to film. That's the way we went to Newnes a couple years back for Xmas. Great drive out that way with heaps to see thats for sure.
I did film that section but was following a land cruiser doing 20kmph and I was waffling on with random stuff so didn't put it in. Was pretty boring to put in.
@Gettin dirty 4x4 Adventure ahhh yes those slow landcruisers lmfao. Must of been worried his wheels would fall off on a bend lol. 🤔 all good, a beautiful stretch to drive though, all of it really is a wonderful drive. I've done Wisemans - Buckety a couple of times and love it. That rock overhang is wicked too, shame about the Dulux tribe getting to it.
