the 1.5D non turbocharged engine is way more economical than any petrol ever made. I had one in the Ctroen Saxo 2002 with only 54hp and I could get 3L/100km on the motorway. Petrol is not known for economy especially in the city
Some small petrol engines cand be economic aswell. My 2007 Panda 1.2 can do 4L/100km if ran in speeds up to 100kph and driven rasonably, in town it does around 5,5L/100km. But yeah, these atmosferic diesels could do wonders, my friend has a Octavia MkI SDi and that can do up to L/100km in town even if driven like a man possesed. I'd say they were much more environmentally friendly than the Euro 6 or whatever engines simply because they consumed much less diesel than the new ones do and didn't need any AdBlue.
Love both cars but boy ye can tell the Civ8c looks abput 15 yrs ahead in styling the ZX looks like a n early 80s drsign with its angles 😀😀. Ok I know it came out in 91 but just sayin, diff styles of car completely but ye can defo tell each makes signature looks.
Well, the first sketches that look like the ZX were made by Bertone in 1982-3 when he was designing the Skoda Favorit. It was supposed to look very much like the later ZX, but because the Czechoslovak industry couldn't manufature a low profile headlights and single piece taillights, these early proposals had to be turned down. So when later designing the ZX, Bertone prorably used them just a bit.

The best was the Citroen AX with that same engine, weighing in at 200 kilos lighter than the Saxo it was a bit quicker and even more economical
Shame they hid information on guy that made his petrol car do 200 mpg years back, but then the billionaires in oil industry need to stay billionaires

Wow - this show was once sensible, I had no idea.
Does anyone have a go-back-in-time-module?! I want to go back. They were halcyon days compared to now.

@@AlejjSi Ahh I see yeah there are quite similar styling cues here n there between the 2 cars.
