Few things to add to this video revolt aim is a pretty nifty tool then people give it credit for. Remember when you said rangers have a passive skill that increases its damage when at a certain distance? Revolt Aim sets you up for that distance thats why its deals so much damage. As for blaze shot, alot of people dont know this but when you activate the pa, your character does a evasive flip to avoid damage like rangers rifle weapon action.
Critical distance on rifle is nice but with the adjustments Sega made it’s not as important for general gameplay. You should be looking to get as many nades and mines as possible and that means playing close sometimes. The distance is good for revolt aim as others have mentioned and whenever you can fit it in, such as a down phase or down time and you can get several razing shot ticks. Blight rounds self benefit sees use in solo play when trying to maintain purple. Sometimes it’s necessary to blight another part of the enemy as destroying the current target will lose purple, also happens when certain weak spots disappear. While not as big of a deal in party play usually since you can get purple pretty fast again, as a solo ranger it can be tough to get purple, especially if you don’t have rifle attack impact up. That extra 5% damage from purple is important to upkeep.
Ahhh yes rangers, my favorite class to see when fighting Solus. Thank you all for having that awesome marking ability that lets me deal so much more damage! Seriously the mvps of every team
Very nice guide renova for ranger! Loved it! Yuss! And.. 11:31 I was secretly waiting for fearless against wall.. even though you are not braver in this video.. LOL XD
My one thing to point out (sorry if anyone else did already) is that Homing Dart is only bad against small targets with one hitbox. On larger enemies (especially bosses) it will target every hitbox/weakspot and send out a bullet for each which is good for piling up damage on them, as well as building up the threshold for upgraded normal shots
Charged divine launch is the best PSE PA for ranger if you can find a way to loop it (E.g. mouse macro). But you do need to have charge PA move speed addon skill, or it will push you further away. You move sideways and use Z mode to aim at floor, it has very big AOE and very long range (good against that dotts enemies, the ones look like giraffe with super long range). It is also really good in mining rig defense due to its long range (if you use Z mode)
I still can't get used to constantly using Weapon Action Dodge/Grenadier on Rifle, and was just solely using Launcher for the most part. 😅 But yeah Rifle had a nice kit of defensive dodges and attacks. I just think that Launcher probably needs some more i-frames too for certain points but hey its just how it is.
I use to play old pso2 heavily was pretty min maxed, I feel sorta lost coming back to NGs. I’m not sure what subclasses are good for any class. If we even need skill tree builds or just get everything within them over time. Any advice helps greatly. Atm I just feel like quitting and going back to other MMOs
Nice guide but a few things should be mentioned. Rifle is Ranger main weapon with razing shot main dmg pa. Launcher is support weapon rather than multi-weapon. Blaze shot is never used as main dmg pa in group content. Launcher weapon action goes up after 10 seconds regardless of the dmg done on it. greetings from Meyneth.
From personal (but admittedly not endgame) experience, assault rifles and launchers both multi very well with gunblade regardless of which is your main or sub. Ranger mains can supplement the lack of slayer active skills with blight round application. Either way my preferred attack setup with rifle/gunblade is gunblade basic/rifle basic/flowing sirius then on the secondary pallette is homing dart/blaze shot/shifting spica. Blaze shot is for added silky maneuverability and homing darts for crowd control. Rifle basic attacks is there to take advantage of the upgraded shot damage after dealing enough PA hits, and makes it easier to access rifle's grenades without using pp. All of both class active skills are on the sub palette so it feels very fluid imo. Ranger main more for if you want to support the group, Slayer if you just feel like soloing or pushing out more DPS yourself
This is a bad guide for rangers. All you're doing is going down the list of every AR and launcher PA without giving good definitive builds to use. If you're going to make a guide, then at least give some good advice and put it in one spot instead of spreading it out over 12 minutes.
It says in the title of the video what is in the video If you want builds then a guide about a class as a whole is not where you need to be Can't expect something from a video if it doesn't say anything about that in the title

Revolt Aim itself is not affected by optimal range, though

Thank you for video please keep making videos for the game so can help it grow 🎉
Can you do a follow-up explaining the iffy weapon actions? both weapon WAs seem to lack any kind of I-frames...

the elsword music surprised me

I was looking for a good sub class or multiweapons any recommendations
