Hi! Glad to see you guys again! Love travelling in the ferry, are you guys now living in Tahiti? I feel like ferries r a free sight seeing of the bay or the ocean love it! You guys seem to have so much fun! Next time save some fun for me too! Great video as always!
Haha, thanks Ivan! No, we just spent a couple weeks exploring the islands and made a lot of new videos :) takes time to post. But we are moving on to new adventures soon ;)
Thank you for mentioning getting a permit, what exactly did you mean by that? Do you need a permit (permission) to take the rental car from tahiti to moorea? Or did you mean the ticket for the rental car on the ferry?
You don’t need a permit now, but they ask for Moorea channel crossing insurance which is 3800 XPF - around $35. Technically, you can deny it. Hertz quote today: “Rental vehicles are authorized to be driven on the island of Moorea. The Maritime Insurance Moorea option covers you for damage suffered to the vehicle on the boat during the channel crossing.” BUT you need to pay around $50 for the car crossing one way + make a special reservation for a time-slot you need or otherwise it might be full. It was cheaper for us to rent another car at Moorea and have more flexibility with the ferry schedule. Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip :)
It’s considered to be one of the most expensive destinations in the world 🙈 but it’s still possible to travel on a budget! we’ve made several videos on that ;)

How much for the car I need to pay to get with me to Moorea ?
I believe it was around $50 for the car and you need to book the spot in advance vs without the car we didn’t book a specific time
I wonder if they will offer studies to become mental health professionals...
