Bethany’s right. It’s important to know that the scarab doesn’t just provide Jaime a transformation into a superhero, but it also possesses his body against his will and does have a mind of its own.
Kinda sad they made it sound like a generic MCU computer lady. Instead of more Young Justice scarab.
@@CatteYokaiyes but i am pretty sure thats just in the movie so jaime must not repeat evrytime what the scarab said. in a Comic movie or series it works that only he can understand him. but to give the Scarab more charakter its better this way i think

Welcome to the under the show radar Watcher Club I'm 50-50 on this movie Mostly it's because I don't want to overhype it to find out it has crappy writing not to mention the fact I've been holding off on going in the movies due to my financial situation
Ever since I first saw blue beetle in injustice 2, I thought he was really cool and had an interesting power set.
the villain is the previous blue beetles sister who owns kord industries as the previous blue beetle was ted kord the previous owner of the tech company (u can see his suit and the first blue beetles suit in the background of the last clip where they call batman a facist)
If you guys want a fun easy way to jump into DC, I cannot give enough praise to the series Young Justice. Great characters, great voice acting, great plots. A lot of emotional depth too. I'd love to see you guys do a react series for Young Justice.

Susan Sarandon is playing the sister of Ted Kord, who was the second Blue Beetle and was responsible for that ship we see them flying (called "The Bug") so she feels she is entitled to the scarab that belonged to her brother (another long story).
Jaime Reyes is the second Blue Beetle and Ted Kord, owner and founder of Kord Industries, was the first
actually jaimes is the third and ted the second being dan garreth the first
I have been looking forwards to this moment in a long time.
Blue Beetle's always been my favorite superhero character, so now after so long, FINALLY getting to see them get their own movie is fantastic stuff!
Cannot wait!
I am also extremely happy that they look very comic accurate, in contrast to the rather awful Injustice video game version, or the odd Smallville appearance or what have you.
Compared to those two, the live-action movie looks amazing! And I cannot wait to see it when it comes out in August! ^^
The First Blue Beetle was a Golden Age hero with the secret Identity of Dan Garrett, who originally had the scarab in a mostly dormant form that he found in ancient Egypt and thought it was magic.
The second was Silver/early Bronze age scientist who was a close student of the first. He couldn't use the scarab but discovered it was actually alien tech, reverse engineering it to develop his gadgets and weapons. He died in the line of duty at the has of villain Maxwell Lord.
The current hero, Jamie Reyes, actually fully bonded with the full awakened Scarab. His creation is much inspired by japanese series "Bio-boosted Armor Guyver," especially if you watch the series Young Justice.
im happy for Xolo Mariduena that he got leading role in bigger movie. I loved his performance in Cobra Kai show and i cant wait next season unfortuntely last but he has great talent as actor
This movie looks nuts and amazing 😄 I am board for watching the movie as I know Blue Beatle from “Batman Brave and the Bold” and couple animated DC movies.
Also is it just me notice at 3:04 the old suits in the background being the first Blue Beatle suit and than second user?
It's a symbiotic alien tech. Whether it's a parasite or a mutualistic symbiote is up for debate :)
My hope is that Susan found the alien scarab. Experimented on it. Suppressed the Alien AI with a human AI. That would explain SIRI talking instead of the Scarab. Then, in a sequel movie, he discovers, and releases the alien AI from its shackles, and things really get scary for him as he now has to contend with it.
August 18 is my birthday can’t wait to see it
Blue Beetle is one of my favorite non mainstream heroes and the fact that he's played by Miguelle's actor makes it even better, since he can put his Karate training to some good use!!

I agree with that the first transformation looks incredibly painful which is great.
I will say the scarab voice sounds a bit too much like Karen/suit lady from MCU Spiderman and some jokes are taken straight from other recent-ish superhero movies, which I noticed a couple times. The Scarab sounds a lot more alien and violent in Young Justice for example which fits it a lot better I think.
yea the scarab connects to your spine so i dont think its painless

I guess so? Funny enough, apparently the Scarabs (As the weapon platform developed by the reach) is rather hostile against lantern corps in general. The Reach is one of the Lanetern's big enemies, turns out.
@@TheTrytix Facts, and the voice is way more bloodthirsty and vicious the Siri like ahh sound they gave him in the trailer 😆 but the trailer still fire though one mistake won't matter.
This is Gunn's special baby, along with Brave and Bold. He spent the most time developing these two properties specifically so it'll be a good litmus test for how people are going to take his spin on the genre.
Blue Beetle was in production and filmed before Gunn was hired
@@VersusSEED Soto was collaborated with by Gunn before it was even announced he was going to head up the "new cinematic universe. The turnaround on this film from start to finish hasn't even been a year yet. Gunn is the reason it stayed.

The scarab is one of the most advanced pieces of technology in the universe, only second to Cyborg's tech, which is god tech.
Blue beetle's technology is more advanced than Cyborg's. Do some research.🙂

Cyborg's body has a motherbox, which contains element x, or tenth metal, the metal used by the world forger to make the multiverse and the stories in it. It's the metal of possibilities and what the JL used to defeat barbados and his dark knights. Cyborg taped into it to become Cyborg one million and draw power from the multiverse and enter hypertime. Cyborg has better technology.

And by the way, who was the one who found the brother eye of his dimension in infinite crisis? I don't think it was Cyborg.
