So here you guys have it, the Paulinho video a lot of you asked for. Since there was a bit of confusion and anger as to why I never made a welcome video for him, I’d like to explain myself. To quote a great article (medium.com/@lucasammr/the-best-and-the-rest-f8a7bf7a072d) which touches on the matter and which basically reflects my own thoughts: ”I do not have anything against Paulinho. I do not hate him. I hate what he represents. Paulinho’s signing was so utterly out of touch with what FC Barcelona represents that I’d never even cared to talk about this travesty.”
I like Paulinho’s personality and I think he’s done well so far at the club considering what was expected of him. However, I still hugely dislike the signing of him. To sign a 29 year old box-to-box midfielder for an expensive price instead of trusting our own youth players like Samper or Alenya, or better yet, sign an actual world class midfielder with the right characteristics, is mad in my opinion. Doesn’t stop me from appreciating his work on the field though, let’s hope he can continue his form.

Thanks for saying what so many people fail to realise. Not making a welcome video was more than justified. His signing is what I would call the epitome or the embodiment of bartomeus barca. The price tag is nowhere near justified and coming from a weak league with 29 years on the age clock - The fact that this signing has been made is just ridiculous, but however he combines better with Messi than Rakitic and that is a huge benefit to the team.

paulinho played in 8-9 small clubs in his career in 6-7 countries .his life is full of struggles.. he was flop in tottenham hotspurs ,,, but now he is very good player in brazil national team ,,,, he is doing well in barca,, he still need 10-15 matches to fit in barcelona system ,,, give him time
