I think 2018-19 was the best season by anyone, ever. This was the first year I watched La Liga games live and this guy would do something insane every game. Two free kicks in one game vs Espanyol, absolute hammer and hattrick vs Sevilla, amazing chip and brilliant hattrick vs Betis stand out to me, plus Champions League, how many HOF moments did he have that year? Against Tottenham in group stage for me is one of the best all-time performances. He was everywhere and did everything. The other players were just walls to play the ball back to Messi. He could take the ball from one end to the other on command it felt like. He could do anything that day. The run and finish between all those players against PSV, Lyon Panenka and ending three players with one fake, nutmeg on Fred, free kick against Liverpool. These are all time moments that he was doing every week. The collapse against Liverpool at Anfield for me shows how crazy he was playing. He was creating chances but the level of his teammates was just not good enough. Biggest carry job of all time and for me I have never seen anything like that season.
I can understand some Real Madrid fans or Cr7 fans to don't recognise Messi's greatness but otherwise who else can deny it? Everyone else who loves futbol can't deny the joy that gives you to see this talent.
I personally think that in 2015 Messi was in his Real PRIME. I looked the stats up. He scored 58 goals AND made 31 assists in LaLiga, Champions League and Copa del Rey. He stood out alongside Neymar and Luis Suarez, who were in their prime as well (In my opinion). In particular, i remember his outstanding performance against Bayern in the First Leg of the Champions League Semi Final and his legendary Solo Run Goal against Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey Final. He played as a winger, yet he was a playmaker, top assistmaker and a top goalscorer at the same time among all the leagues and competitions. He scored in the big games, he was super consistent in 2015 and he won all the important titles and trophies for FC Barcelona. For me 2015 Messi was his PRIME Version.
true. However messi has so many peaks that it is so hard to choose one. That is why he is the goat. 2011 was pure magic dribbling around everyone including prime real madrid. 2012 was the world record breaker. I believe 2019 or maybe 2015 were his most complete versions. He was literally a playmaker, assister, goalscorer in 1 and mastered passing and dribbling. 2012 he was explosive, an unstoppable monster who sometimes dribbled whole defences though 😂 not to mention he even had lots of assists besides his 91 goals that year which is beyond insane. If he kept playing like he did in 2012 instead of progressing into a playmaker over the years he would have a ton more goals by now. I would like to see that timeline.

2015 messi seems like the perfect one, he had good physical shape thanks to his youth and play as a playmaker. idk why but his 2 seasons 14/15 and 15/16 are really boring to watch. maybe those were his first seasons trying to play deeper or he still plays widely as a winger which does not improve 100% of his ability. From season 16/17 I noticed that he spent more time playing in central, playing deeper and possessing the ball longer. messi under Pep also played in central but his role tends to run toward the opponnent's defender line and not playing deeply as now. For me 2009-2012 and 2017-2019 are his best seasons

@@marekwisniewski5823 I think 13/14 was his worst for playmaking / dribbling, although it's always been top tier. 12/13 was the end product of what we saw of him 07-12.. I did think though, both in 14/15 and 18/19, this is his peak.. so it's subjective, difficult to define his true peak.. Either 2011/12 or 2014/15 imo. 2018/19 was the biggest carryjob of his career but not his best individual version if you ask me. Of course he was having an outstanding season even for his standards but just like every other player Messi plays better when he has better teammates around him. Good teammates simply make you better. That’s not taking any credit from him it’s simply a fact and that’s why I believe that his best ever version has to be from a year where his team was also playing at the highest level. Even in one of the greatest football teams of all time, he stood out on his own. There's no doubt he was at his best during this time. Watching the full matches, not just the highlights, makes this clear. In later years, as Barcelona weakened, he carried the team and hence might create an illusion of greatness, but his individual brilliance was at its highest under Pep's great Barcelona. The exceptional talent around him likely gave him the platform to fully express his greatness.

Messi has been an Phenomenal player ever since he made his debut 🧬💞 But for me personally his 2014/15 season has a separate place in my heart 💜. His 2nd goal against Bayern in the UCL semifinal will always stay in my heart & will forever be my favourite Messi Goal ✨ Also in 2014/15 he won his 2nd treble & simply set a standard which is yet to be toppled. The best year of messi was 2009/10 and 2010/11 years. He scored unbelievable and really difficult goals. By 2017-19 messi developed techniques perfecting the curler to the top corner yknow by cutting inside from right wing or dropping deep and also he perfected his freekick to almost score every time he get a freekick, his conversion was 90% during those years.

12/13 was the end product of what we saw of him 07-12.. I remember watching his evolution and in 12/13 thinking "this is the best I've seen him upto this point". He was never quite the same after that.. the human in him became visible.
I did think though, both in 14/15 and 18/19, this is his peak.. so it's subjective, difficult to define his true peak.. I like to think 12/13 was his peak i guess because of the nostalgia, that barca kit.. that was football at it's best, imo.
@@marekwisniewski5823 when I look back though at 10/11, 11/12.. one could easily make the argument that those years were his peak.
10/11
11/12
12/13
14/15
18/19..
No other player has 5 seasons like that.. it's insane really.
17/18 also incredibly underrated.. he showed glimpses of his best that season.
2019 messi was something
2010-2013 was his best. After the harmstring injury the explosion wasn't the same
his dribbling was still amzing but yes, Back in the day messi used to combine close ball control WITH explosivity. While later he dribbled using pure ball control.
@@giannismargaris9553 there have for sure been better dribblers. But the combo of explosivity and agility made him unstoppable. The hardest to cover. He dribbled past players like figurines.
@erikpuka2627 Lol no. Only Maradona is at the level of Messi's dribbling. Showboating isn't dribbling. He's easily the best dribbler (along with prime Maradona) the world has ever seen.
@@Blue-ik8ij you haven't seen Musiala or Hazard
@@erikpuka2627You haven't seen Messi for sure.
2019💀💀💀
Goat messi all versions was the best
2010/11?
2012 Messi goat unstoppable
0:20 that's what prime Messi can do literally gliding through defence bro
Messi activa el ultra instinto 💀
Great vidéo
Either 2011/12 or 2014/15 imo. 2018/19 was the biggest carryjob of his career but not his best individual version if you ask me. Of course he was having an outstanding season even for his standards but just like every other player Messi plays better when he has better teammates around him. Good teammates simply make you better. That’s not taking any credit from him it’s simply a fact and that’s why I believe that his best ever version has to be from a year where his team was also playing at the highest level. If 2019 Messi still had players like Neymar, Iniesta and Dani Alves next to him I‘m sure he would have easily won the treble and could have scored another 20+ goals.
Bro 2019 is the best version of messi
@@brightgee9693 No one knows
@@brightgee9693 2014/15 also could’ve done whatever 2018/19 version did 🤷🏻♂️
Pound for pound, 1 v1..
2014/15 was the Best…as that version of Messi had all the attributes of his younger and also older self..
Not to mention he scored some of his best goals and gave some of his best performances of his career during 2014/15..
@@vb2388 no. Messi reached his goat level in the secon half of the 2015 season. 2019 messi was something that has never walked the face of this earth. he was more refined and polished as ever. he was also smarter and peaked in every aspect of his game
@@afolabiajigbolamu8457 Messi was also “refined and polished” from 2016-2018..
Explain smarter and no Messi 2019 didn’t peak in pace…2014/15 Messi was much faster and was a better dribbler as well…stats also states this
Messi is always best. Long live the king.
Exploto todas las facetas del juego. Jugador total!!
2007-2008 C.Ronaldo
2018/19 very2 God mode.
1st 2012 Messi
2nd 2015 Messi
3rd 2019 Messi
2015 clears 2012 lol
The 2010 - 2012/13 period marked the peak of individual football performance, as seen in his incredible goal contributions.
2011>>> and 2015 is ver Close but 2011 is his very Best
Saudades desse Messi letal. Nessa época, principalmente sob o controle do Guardiola quando ficava de frente pro gol não tinha reza ou mandiga que o fizesse perder
Messi in 2015 was fantastisk😮
2013, 2012, 2011, 2015, 2019
Messi has been an Phenomenal player ever since he made his debut 🧬💞 But for me personally his 2014/15 season has a separate place in my heart 💜. His 2nd goal against Bayern in the UCL semifinal will always stay in my heart & will forever be my favourite Messi Goal ✨ Also in 2014/15 he won his 2nd treble & simply set a standard which is yet to be toppled. So for me 2014/15 version is the best ever. (All versions of Messi are goated, he is simply one of a kind & once in a lifetime player.)
Those days man we ware used to see that one player dribbling through midfild to defence.. And now it is hardly seen in any game😢😅😅
Honestly i liked his 2012 version really much, but I'd say 2015/2019. He was more refined then. Those who say Messi isn't skilful or only cuts during dribbling need to watch him in 2012. His dribbling is so calm and simple.
2012
2:20 The control is unmatched
2011,2018,19
2018 is so underrated he was a such a beast they took the double thanks to him and lost to Rome because their defense after they won 3-0 in the first leg but he was the best in the world.
You are correct. They where on a treble run that season, but that game in Rome spoilt everything. Ended up with a double tho
Why do people underrate 2011 messi
My favorite is 2012
❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂
All versions of Messi are the best. He is the definition of football.
This dribbler is so good at dribbling he should have played in world cup😢
ThE GOAT.
Platium blonde messi is the messi i will never forget also long beard too
24 .06. 1987. Was the Best Version. A Legend was Born .👽👑✨️
Nobody talks about his 2020/21 season. What a dog he was. Almost won La Liga by himself. His Copa America run was insane too.
give me every version of this man...
2009/2010 was the most unstoppable version
amazing
2008-2012 was his peak
2015 My favorite. He was very cruel and cold.
There will be another exquisite player like him!
The little man!!!🤣
Damn average season for messi is a career-defining moment for normal players
2012 and 2015 were the best years for Lionel Messi as an individual
Clearly you havent watched 2019
Scooping scene ❤
He was the best in that one period of time when he scored 91goals in a single year and won the ballon dor iplike five times in a row
The 2008 Messi was the freak dribbler. He has many different peaks. Also 2011 and 2010 were missing. For me the absolute peak for a short period of time was in 2010 in two months was the highest I saw him play.
2014/2015 Messi is the greatest player of all time
ALL OF THEM
Messi not a GOAT but God of Football
'91 in a year' Messi for me!
M’y favorite 2015
2012 was outrageous
2019 messi was an anamoly
Carried Barcelona to ucl semi final
Did everything by himself
All those vardid fans can cry 😭
2011 Messi had iconic moments.
The best version of Lionel Messi is 2010/11
