It seemed that the truck going down was on low, and was in complete control. I once went down an 8% grade in compact snow. On the decent was a right bend then a left. The road was banked the opposite way and when I looked in the mirror I could read the company name on the rear trailer. I sped up a wee bit and straightened it out. An on I went.

I've used jakes in snow/ice since my first solo haul chained up over Vail, Co. I-70. Just used them last week through Donner, Ca. I-80. On downgrades, I put my Mack on Max Brake mode and just let her do the work. I rarely touch the brake, even when I'm at 70,000+ gross. I never go over 30mph when chained, I'm always around 25mph. I've never had an issue using jakes in ice/snow.

Why would you be driving in that? I've been driving for 39 years. I'm too old to try to drive in that crap. I would have done it in my twenties and thirties but no way now

Not too many drivers go up Hwy 17 to Fort Davis, or 118 to Fort Davis from I20 in really bad weather. You AIN'T gonna make it.

This driver needs more training. You are not supposed to use engine brakes on wet or icy roads.

Always remember we must repent of our sins (sin is transgression The Law Of Yahuah The Father in Heaven. The Law are The Books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, & Deuteronomy). We must repent of our sins and Have Belief On Yahusha The Messiah. HE Died and Rose three days later so that we can be forgiven of our sins!
    Come to HIM🙂🙂🙂

Driving in these conditions is foolish.
No smart driver drives a semi in these conditions.
Not worth taking a chance in these conditions.
    Park it and WIN....
