    NX 2007 was released in December 2021 and we have delivered suitable and very unique update trainings to more than 16,000 participants in 8 languages already (-:
    The video shows an excerpt of the Bizlearn NX Beginner training portfolio.
    🤓 ALL of our NX update and beginner trainings are spiced with NX CAD secrets and practical workflows! We do not just deliver a video-documentary! The Bizlearn training is a storytelling experience and allows you to connect with one of the most experienced and successful CAD trainers on the globe. Our passion is training and entertainment. And we love to communicate with our participants 😍.
    NX 2007 was released in December 2021 and within the release week we have already finished the complete video training (-;
    The video shows a review of “What’s New Siemens NX 2007”. I am going to explain some general sketch creation and modification workflows and introduce the brand new NX 2007 Half Diameter enhancement! Also, some problems which have occurred since the release have been solved and will be demonstrated within this video.
    Video Content:
    In this video, Simon will show you how to analyze external references within a Sketch. But also different opportunities of adjusting relations will be demonstrated!
    We have decided to start a new tutorial series just concerning the new Sketch Solver. Thereby we are going to introduce workarounds / solutions to help you understanding the new solver and using it properly. The target is always, to reach better results than before the new solver release!
    Is it fair to compare the new vs the old sketch solver by demonstrating the same workflows?
    How old are your Sketch workflows and methods?
    Changing a workflow requires some effort, but in my opinion is worth it. Because the advantages of the new solver then become advantages for us personally!
    This video demonstrates a comparison of the DXF import in NX 12 and the latest Siemens NX 1980 release, using the new Sketch Solver.
    The target in both cases is a Sketch, which is driven by only one parameter.
    Therefore, Add Curves is required, to add the geometry to a Sketch. Afterwards, the Sketches must be fully defined or fully constrained. In the past, the Auto Constraint command could be used therefore, which is not available within the new NX Sketch Solver. So, the workflow needs to be different to reach the target. But that’s not a real problem. The NX Sketch Groups are and will be still available, to solve the problem and even reach a better and faster result than compared to “Auto Constraint”.
    The video shows a perfect example for the need of redesigning our workflows and methods to enjoy the advantages of the new NX Sketch Solver without the need of dealing with the disadvantages!
    But training is required, an understanding and an open mindset for modern technologies like the new NX Sketch Solver, which has the potential of becoming our favorite tool. Maybe not today, but soon!
    It always feels uncomfortable to become comfortable :-P
    Thank you, Siemens, for developing the NX software into the right direction!
    For German, French, Chinese or English update training participation, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us: info@bizlearn.de
    The update training is already available, starting from version NX11 if you wish (-;

    I understand the A.I. "hype" sells and quite clever marketing strategies for several products, and that's a perfectly legal scam, however implemented into an engineering toolbox it can become a laughable issue quite frankly. Not going to do NX and Siemens any favour long-term that's for sure, and so that'll be wiped out soon or later. Be patient.

      I agree in some points. Having some issues myself nowadays. But I have to deal with it and that is why I'm not sharing my negative opinions. Making the best out of it!

    I like to be in control of what I am drawing, this thing puts constraints where it thinks they should go
    This is actually the biggest debacle I have seen in CAD software upgrades in the last 25yrs. It is costing companies many many hours. AI in CAD software is rediculous!

    • @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training
      @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training  Год назад

      An important improvement has been realized since NX2206, which allows you to take full control. Also NX sets proper priorities now. Anyway, the way of sketching is different. Constraints do no more exist

    • @ddugan64
      @ddugan64 Год назад +2

      @@Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training Have you tried using it for complex sketches, then coming back to edit the sketch? It relaxes important constraints without asking, constraints holding the sketch geometry together. it is beyond bad, it's absolutely aweful.

    I had another issue with the so called "new AI".
    It was applying a vertical relation on a line because, yes, it was vertical during editing the dimensions at some point.
    Very annoying.
    BUT. The AI is not "ON" when you're outside the sketch editor.
    I bet your offset in this example would work if you edit the p0 expression when outside the sketcher and from the expression toolbox.
    Thank you.

    Hello Simon, the use case for the zero offset now works in the latest release of NX, the June 2022 release will allow you to change the value to zero and then change it back to another value. Nice job on the video, I love see to see what you are doing.

    So this sketcher looks identical to the Solid Edge sketcher...is it?

  • @grenoblica
    @grenoblica 2 года назад +2

    This thing with zero dimensions makes sense, with offset it's hard to know which side was the offset intent. This should be a problem even if there was no AI detection. A dumb but quick way is to use a secondary offset, in this case -1mm and then drive the expressions off of that. It's ugly but it works

    • @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training
      @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training  2 года назад +2

      "ugly but it works" 🤘 made my day 😅 But anyway, NX remembers the offset regarding the curve direction. Every curve has a direction. So, it shouldn't matter. Or do you have a different experience?

    • @grenoblica
      @grenoblica 2 года назад

      @@Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training No, I had no idea NX would remember the initial offset direction. I had similar problems in inventor (of course) which doesn't know left from right. This ugly solution worked in that instance.

      I can't remember how many workaround I had to find to overcome NX misbehaviours.
      And despite some flaws, it's still my favorite CAD package by far.
      Anyway, your -1mm "ugly" solution, to my eyes is as valid (if not better ;) ) as creating point set and relations :/

    Try using this new Sketcher in Large Legacy Sketches, just about unusable and the biggest time waster ever. Please tell me how to disable this rubbish

    • @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training
      @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training  Год назад

      You will have to disable it for the entire company and once a sketch has been converted, there's no way back.
      I haven't made commonly bad experiences with the new solver, especially since the latest major release. Can I ask, which nx version you are using currently?

      That's a huge step. Over 6 hours of video material, just concerning basic designing. Hope you enjoy some of the other improvements anyway. The solver has gotten some nice enhancements in 2206, which might help.
      And regarding your huge sketches, the work region might be a bit of a support, not the solution, but a workaround

    Hi Simon, habt ihr evtl. eine Lösung, wie man die nicht persistenten Beziehungen dauerhaft sichtbar machen kann? Bei den persistenten ist kein Problem aber ich möchte z.B. schon während dem skizzieren sehen, ob Kurven in Beziehungen zueinander stehen bzw. welcher Beziehungen vorhanden sind . Es macht ja faktisch keinen Sinn die Beziehungen händisch zu setzen, nur um sie sehen zu können. Ich denke hier muss Siemens dringend nachbessern.

    • @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training
      @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training  2 года назад

      Hi Bostjan,
      du siehst die nicht-persistenten Relationen nur dann, wenn du ein verknüpftes Objekt auswählst - dagibt es leider oder zum Glück keine andere Möglichkeit.
      Ich persönlich kann den Unmut verstehen, aber bei mir hält er sich in Grenzen. Denn nach einer Weile habe ich mich dran gewöhnt, das System machen zu lassen :-D
      Im aktuellsten Major gibt es die Möglichkeit, anhand von einem Toggle ausschließlich persisten relations zu erzeugen (quasi so wie früher zu arbeiten mehr oder weniger).
      Auf welcher Version arbeitet ihr denn aktuell?
      Viele Grüße,
      Simon
